Hey guys just wanted to ask a quick question about how i exactly get onto the experimental branches? I've gone to steam/settings/beta participation and allowed it but when i get on Dayz i appear to still be on the stable branch? i'm probably doing something wrong or haven't followed the steps correctly but some advice would be great since i've never tried this :D

If you check the clan recruitment section you'd find loads of clans willing to accept players with different levels skill and experience. A popular one thats always in that section is Becks privateers? I'm not familiar with them but thats just an example of one thats been popular with posts in that section of the forums

When my characters been in pain he usually just stops moaning after a while but i make sure that he's healthy by stuffing him with food and water. Maybe that could help?

Sounds like you've experienced a lot of the good, bad and gruelling things that can happen in Dayz! And yet when all of those things happen its still fun and strangely addicting (Even when you come back from a first major loss in gear) Glad to see you join the forums and helping make a difference, see you around in Chernarus! :beans:

Remember as well that if you're sprinting for long durations i'm pretty sure this has an effect on your energy which will affect hunger and since you probably didn't eat much compared to drinking it caused starvation

It must be done :D adds something a little more interesting into the game put there by the players. Don't let that creative writing go to waste :thumbsup:

If theres one thing you should do in this game, GO AROUND WRITING THIS STUFF IN-GAME! I think you'd leave some pretty good notes for other survivors to find whilst looting :D

I think because you had a crappy sight and bipod the m4 would've been a better option at that moment but like everyone else here says it depends on your play style. Even though i like using the mosin the m4 is much more common and seems to be the better weapon in most situations that you'll probably experience in the game for now

Yep it sure is useful, as soon as i spawn i try to look for the nearest water source and collect food on the way just so i can get back that good ol' healthy status.

Nice to see a change in the usual kos routine, especially since you were out numbered as well :D things could've turned bad quickly.

In the new patch notes for the experimental branch it looks like they're starting to introduce some sort of penalty for server hopping! Might be a little useful for those shameful ghosting bandits but I don't think it'll stop it completely. we'll see what happens! hopefully this'll discourage some of the server hoppers and give an advantage to players that don't hop in combat

Saw this video being passed around in random threads within the comments and found it really useful in filling the knowledge gaps I had about these mechanics in Dayz. If anyone hasn't seen this yet and doesn't understand the hunger, thirst, regenerating blood and health mechanics it should help!

Haven't seen anything on the forums but in the latest patch this was added: SKS rifle description added Little confused since it doesn't say in the patch it was added but at the bottom of the notes description was added for it? This might've been answered already but if anyone knows it would be great to hear what this is about :thumbsup:

EMBRACE IT It keeps the game alive and interesting and the tense atmosphere high! It's all part of Dayz ;)
