Like knight maybe I've just been lucky when searching the ship since I haven't fallen off yet :D I'm pushing my luck though and will probably die since every time i get to the top of the ship i risk my gear by jumping the gap that splits the ship in half B)

For blurry vision just go into options and click video settings, it should just adjust and stop the blur but you'll have to eat and drink to become healthy and regain blood for the colour loss. Check out the guide thats been mentioned as it'll help :)

^^ This Also to your other questions the zombies are a little bugged right now so unless you have an axe i'd just run around and take the advice about the hills like e47 said. Remember not to just run out into the open though! If you're on a high populated server someone might notice a zombie chasing you in town and just wait until they can attack when you're in the open. Remember to play it smart and take care of your surroundings :)

I'm not entirely sure how much the bipod and compensator affect the accuracy of the mosin but I do know that the scopes condition is really important if you're looking to get some accurate shots. I'd use the bipod and compensator anyway but just to be safe search for any pristine versions and test out the difference between the two

It's only been around a month or so in so we can't already be questioning whether or not the game will actually be finished? come back to this in a few more months and assess the progress made to know what direction this game is heading

Couldn't it just be manipulated by taking it off, attempting to kill someone and put it back on so they would be immune to any bullets fired at them?

I searched for any SKS threads but nothing came up which I thought was odd :huh: A little weird that they would mention it in this patch when it isn't available unless they're just teasing till the next patch :lol:

Damn whoever that was saved you at the perfect moment. Of all the people i thought you would have died to at that moment i never thought a fresh spawn would knock you out lol. Funny how things turn out in Dayz :D

^ Good point, the OP will just get fed up of being held up by bandits looking to get a thrill of killing new spawns. Better to be safe and head north, gather resources and learn the map a little better as well so at least when he dies he'll have some knowledge of where to go or what to do

The baseball bat would probably be my option out of those 4 because I've had better luck knocking zeds down with it. The wrench could be useful as others are saying but don't bother picking up a crowbar or shovel since their pretty much useless in any combat situation. I've regrettably put faith into the shovel in previous encounters against others thinking it would do the job and lost to people running around using fists ( they knocked me unconscious within 30 seconds)

Hello fellow Dayz players! I originally played xbox and ps3 but this game got me interested and so this is my first pc game and i'm very excited about playing alongside other survivors! I was just wondering if there was any advice for a new PC gamer getting used to the new controls? (The moment i got into the game i couldn't even open my backpack lol) If there is any advice for a PC noob it would be great, Also is there any servers that are good and original? i'm looking for a good server with people playing the game fairly although i know there are hackers in every server i was hoping i could find one i could stay on as it's annoying every time i join a server only to be kicked after 10 minutes. Thanks and hope to see you guys out there

yeah i learned that after running in circles and watching them haha, thanks a lot people for the advice and everything, nice to see there's some good players willing to lend a hand to a new player!

damn that was an intense and painful story, especially the crawling part :( if you ever wanna play i'd like to team up, i'm not a bandit or anything! just getting used to the game and enjoying the company of others! message me whenever if you're bored :) :thumbsup:

Thanks for the advice Sula, i've experience plenty of dying already however not by a players hand, mostly due to the zombies chasing me out of towns :D also do you know a good server i could use with friendly people? some of the servers i've tried are just full of paranoid people looking to kill 'bambies' if anyone has a decent server and a good helpful community i'd like to join! before you ask i've already decided to avoid becoming a bandit :)

i use withsix to install it, i didnt know the difference between the two so i just guessed to use this one

Also i just tried accessing your server and for some strange reason it kicked me off, something about battleeye?
