Well, i think even the deadliest badass never would kill someone without some psychic problems afterwards. (Some insane people like mass murders would do it for fun, but not eveyone) So why not implement something like menthal healt for everyone, not only the bandits, even a kill in selfe defense would bring you bad dreams and sleepless nights, ask a soldier or cop. And whats the first thing you want to do after crushed someonse head with an axe because you had to? Right get a bottle of vodka and silence your brain. So how to implemet something like that into dayz... 1: every kill you do has a chance of getting you menthal ill (debuf), not forever but a long time (a few hours maybe) 2: now you can wait until the illnes is gone or you could wash your brain in alcohol or eaven harder stuff to temporary get rid of it. 3: drugs also should have debufs like blury vision or maybe physical healt problems. 4: the menthal illnes itselfe transformed into a game mechanic... thats the problem. Maybe you hear foodsteps or shots that arent real from time to time, maybe also some halluzinations, maybe some zeds look like the player you have killed, maybe a 2 frames flashback to the moment you pulled the trigger? No gamebreaking change... just some weyrd little things that let you look twice into that window on the other steet. (Was there someone in the window? Or was that my brain going cracy?) I know its a a little oftopic but there are so many great ideas here that go into a simmiliar direction and i think we dont need anoter topic about kos. Also i dont know every post here so if it was mentioned before (im sure menthal illnes is, but not in combination with drugs) forgive me. A few days ago i was on one of these taviana servers with custom bases, more helis and so on. Just after spawn at the coast i saw a huey picking some bambi like me up, so i asked if i also could get in, he said yes and i thought cool, finaly there is someone helping the bambis. A few minutes later we arrived at the dubovo airport where they had a big base. 5 to 6 guys in ghuilly suits armed with some DMR's and an m107 i think. They forced us to get out lay down our doublebarelled and makarovs and to go down to a free field in the middle of the base. So here we are two bambies without weapons surrounded by heavy armed ghuilly guys... the said we have to play the "bandit games". Each of us got an hatched and we should fight to death. Well the hatch is one of my favourite weapons and the other bambie seems to be new in dayz so he had no chance... my first hit broke is legs and i stopped but they yelled from the rooftop "finish him, finish him" i felt a little mercy with him but i had no chance to survive without following they r will. So i won the bandit games and was free to go, when there came some voice from outside the base "im friemdly and unarmed please dont shoot". Thats my moment i thought, he has the whole attraction now. So i sneaked trough theyr base to a tent i saw... ohhhh what a nice present, a DMR! Grabbed it and ran as fast and as zigzagging as possible to the hill in the west behind a big rock with some nice bushes behind to cover my back. It seems that nobody realized that im away with theyr dmr, so i took an overlook. The unarmed guy got shot before i reached the hill. After a few minutes stalking theyr camp a second bambie appeared, but also got executed by them. I decided to also play a game... its called "where is the sniper" 3 of them permanently stayed at the roof tops the other 2 or 3 where running arround, refueling the chopper and so on. (Btw roof tops arent the best spot near a big hill ;) ) Took a well aimed shot to the guy with the m107 at about 500 meters. Hit in the neck, instant kill. Bevore they realyzed whats going an the second one got an 7.62mm bullet into his stomach... mhh not the best shot but a wounded person with good sight on it is snipers paradise :D Now the rest of them were hiding in the building so i waited if they try to save theyr buddy... nope, he bleed out within 2 minutes. Soooo there are min. 3 left where are they? Ahhh there is one popping the head out the window... boom headshot :D Soo finally the other two got my position but theyr aim was more than terrible. But i had to switch position and decided to go a few hundret meters away. Stopped at a tree with a root outside the ground to take cover. So it seems they felt save now but at 800 meters its possible to hit with dmr. One got into theyr chopper but after a few not so good aimed shots i got him before liftoff and the chopper also was a bitt destroyed. The last one tried to loot the m107 from his dead buddy. Bad idea... got him with a body shot an he bleeded out near his friend. Well finaly another sniper ran into my back and loaded his mag from about 5 meters into my body, but my work was done and they all lost the "where is the sniper" game :D Useless to say there was a huge shitstorm in side chat from hacker to little cunt there where manny unfriendly words to me... but that just makes it funnier for me ;) Sry for bad grammar im german and typing on my phone ^^
