Most people like to say things along the lines of "Yeah f*ggot! F*ck you, you're dead! F*g! hahaha."

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
LigerRider replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
I tried PMing, but was greeted with a message telling me you can not receive any more messages. Basically, like you stated, most big-name site's hacks are currently down, but there are a few I found still claiming to be undetected, and I did find a lot of script executors publicly available (legitimacy unknown for I have not tested and do not plan on testing) at various places. However, during this period that these sites are down, I seem to be experiencing more hackers than usual. -
Always do. No negative effects so far. There's always those times when you just feel like a tank, getting shot by a mosin and walking it off, etc, and most of those times I have felt like that were when I have been barefoot. I'm waiting for socks.

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
LigerRider replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
Current anti-hack system is sh*t - It's getting easier and easier to hack. Well known hacking sites are releasing more and more publicly available hacks or scripts, I've found 3 'reputable' scripts to hack the game with a five minute search on well known hacking sites. It's ridiculous. Anti-hacking should be a top priority, before adding in a bow that doesn't even work. From what people tell me, battle-eye "gathers info and mass bans." Great... they'll get banned... eventually... too bad they can hack their hearts out until then, ruining hours upon hours of peoples' hard work. There are multiple games out there that kick the hacker off the second something out of the ordinary is detected, why can't DayZ do this? When a player's location goes from point A to point B which is X amount of meters away in under a second, why isn't that detected? I've been told player locations are detected server-side. Current hacking status: Don't play the game currently. -
Graphic optimizations - Better crossfire support perhaps? From one 7950 to two in crossfire, I've experienced no noticeable performance gain. Bug fixes - your character running past walls on others' screens able to be shot, glitchy zombies, desync/lag issues. Bicycles - Should be common. I don't know how chernarous is, but where I live, almost every household has a bicycle in their garage. Base building - Realistic base building. No impenetrable fortresses like the mod, but tents, some tarps with some bear traps around. Realistic Hide Body function - You should not be able to bury a body with one click, should have to dig the hole, and even then, if somebody finds the ground looking like it was dug up, they should be able to dig up the body and get the gear.

The only time I have successfully used a blood bag was when I was O- and my friend shot shot up and knocked unconscious in a battle. I took out the guys, salined my unconscious friend and gave him a blood transfer to get him on his feet again.

If you have a few hours, sit down and do some research. You'll more than likely find better advice/tips on sites specifically made for technology in relation to computers. The more you know, the better able you'll be to make a right purchase for you at the right price. On that note, either laptop will run DayZ, but you probably won't be able to max out all the settings.

Do you remove the default 100 ping filter? Lot's of time if you find a server at around 100-150 ping in the server list, it will actually be more like 60-80 in game.

When the (insert anything here1) decides it wants to take lives for no reason. 1Ship, firestation, building's staircase, sidewalk, lake... Pretty much everything.

Small, meaningless, yet rare items
LigerRider replied to IReadTheAgreement's topic in General Discussion
You are at an unfair, illegitimate advantage. To my understanding those are hacked, not glitched (right?), it doesn't matter who made em, you should drop em in a bush somewhere. You're obviously using them, ruining the game for anyone who you kill with unlimited ammo. Like fallout! So many unique versions of simple weapons. -
Q: How to Snipe people successfully from about 700-800 meters?
LigerRider replied to blazed's topic in General Discussion
I've made quite a few 7-900m shots. First, holding the right mouse buttons may zoom your view in farther, but it also is the default hold breath button. Don't zoom in fully until you are ready to take the shot. Instead, use the + and - buttons on your numpad (default keys) to zoom. Second, as stated, don't shoot unless they aren't moving. Unless you are covering your friend and you need to shoot, they are quite a ways away, just let em pass, it's really not worth it. (You have a loaded mosin, what more do you need?) Third, the shot's aren't consistent. I find sometimes they go dead center (up or down depending on range), sometimes they go off to the side. I once sniped a dude off of the tallest building in cherno from way back by the project/apartment area. Was about 850m. First shot was up and right, second down and left, third down and right. Headshotted on my 4th I believe. In this case, don't stop and wait to see where the bullet lands, just fire consecutively until they are dead or you need to reload (don't give them a chance to take cover). Somebody mentioned a leftward pull to the left on damaged scopes - I believe they did something about this? I use badly damaged scopes as frequently as pristine. They used to all pull left, but lately they all behave the same. Maybe it's just something to do with shot inconsistency as I've stated. For finding distance, I personally find distances between common areas. Once you know the common area distances, guesstimate new locations based on those. Direct west treeline to Berezino construction site = 700 ish meters. Berezino Construction site to the barn south = Approx. 600m.New sniper hill in Berezino to the Police Station = roughly 5-700m depending where you position yourself. And a couple of tips - when you are hitting the shots from 800+m away, I find they do not die in the first shot EVER unless it is a head shot. There was one dude terrorizing elektro from the hospital roof, So I took up a position a good 850m away. Dropped him 3 times, each time he got back up, then someone unloaded a 60 mag into and around my spot, so I had to fall back. And, if there is a lot of action near you and you can get away with a shot without giving your position away, shoot a sign, or a wall or something to get an idea of bullet location. -
Why do people celebrate updates like they are a good thing?
LigerRider replied to Pokerguy12's topic in General Discussion
Well, I don't claim to be a developer or anything close, but to my current understanding, problems come about in new patches that were not always expected. So, onward to my point here, when adding new features (as everybody seems to only want this before bug fixes), problems arise from these new features which were not planned. Now, as everybody also states, it's early access alpha. Nobody has ever published a novel in the first draft, have they? -
As-50_Thermal and MP5K [ Standalone ]
LigerRider replied to preacherlr's topic in General Discussion
Have you ever held a 50 cal sniper rifle? Those things are heavy... IF one were to ever be added, there should be a lot of drawbacks. Stamina should decrease faster, movement speed should be slower, you should have to carry less items on you (maybe no backpack), and ammo should be EXTREMELY scarce, etc. -
We should stop worrying about new things and worry about bug fixes.

Are worn/damaged/badly damaged food items going to mean anything in the future?
LigerRider replied to extremenuggets's topic in General Discussion
It could just mean it's been through a lot, and the rice is all crushed up inside while the package looks worn and faded. -
I can picture somebody hiring you and leading you in to a massive ambush... Just saying.
-
People are absolute assholes. The worst kind of people are the ones who call you names like "Faggot" after they kill you, and just stand over your body insulting you in different ways. I was playing with two others the other day, and one of them got killed. Afterwards, the dude stood on his body calling him a fag etc. My other friend and I proceeded to take out the group, and waited for my dead friend to come back. As we were sorting gear, another fresh spawn finds us and tells us not to kill him. As he is saying that, his voice is recognized instantly as the one who was insulting like crazy after he got a kill. Needless to say, he got a shot to the face without a word said.

Full auto shotguns in the game now? With 100 magazine capacity?
LigerRider replied to Zeronium's topic in General Discussion
I was just sarcastically answering your sarcasm. Pretty sure it was hackers. I got killed the other day by a semi-auto mosin. (I know the difference in gunshot sounds, it was a mosin for sure, firing faster than a mosin is able to fire) -
If you have to ask the question, then no. You shot him due to being annoying, not because he was black. If that were the case, I don't think you'd have ever let him join to begin with.

Maybe there were 10 people firing one after the other, reloading as the next kept firing until it looped back to the first guy. -
Well they are both sketchy accuracy-wise for me, but the magnum actually drops people people when it hits.
-
The magnum is a beast, the FNX45 is sketchy. I once had my FXN45 out when two guys came at me; the first guy took 14 shots to the chest to drop, and the second guy dropped with one between the eyes, followed by a series of clicks. Problem is though, I find the FNX45 extremely inaccurate. The magnum, however, drops anybody in my sights. I currently have an M1911 on my character, and the only time I used it was against a garden hoe wielding clown. First clip dropped him, until a couple minutes later when he jumped out from a bush at me and my friend mowed him down with an M4. Seven round clips are way too small.
-
Amazing that somebody actually gave you a reward and didn't shoot you right after.

Each slot should have a "position" on the body, if the bullet hits your kidney, the stuff in the corresponding positional boxes get ruined, nothing else, and then nothing can be stored in those boxes.
