The best sniping places are 900+ meters away from your target. If you're looking for easy spots to snipe from, prepare for people to easily counter snipe.

The mod is great, you just need to find better servers.

To everybody complaining at grammar, I'd like to see you learn a new language and automatically be 100% fluent. Did you know that English isn't the only language in the world? On topic - I would love to see notes being persistent. Say, as long as you are in the server, they stay.

Again, I'm talking from experience in real life handling weapons. But, to see this from your point of view, then a heart rate/stamina sort of system should be implemented that isn't just calm or about to die from exhaustion. Then the weapon sway can have a ton of varying levels instead of just straight or swinging around like its a fire axe.

I'm talking about in-game experience. You run for 10 seconds and you have uncontrollable weapon sway. Also, if you have enough stamina to sprint a mile, you also have enough stamina to hold your aim steady for a few seconds to fire off a shot, unless for some reason you've been doing a ton of heavy lifting to the point where your arms have an uncontrollable shake. I've handled weapons in real life, I'm not making this stuff up, so you can argue if you'd like, but I don't see where you're coming from here.

The sway is extremely over exaggerated. Walking/running for 10 seconds definitely doesn't make me sway that hard in real life. Hell, even out of breath it's way different. It's current implementation is way over the top. -I've handled weapons with scopes in real life.

There are certain animals such as grizzly bears that are known to leave you alone after they know you aren't a threat anymore, and "faking your death" causes them to be less hostile and leave you alone. This should be a risk that might work when hostile animals are in the game. With the case of getting shot, I definitely think it should be in the game. You won't do it, but other people will, and if it fools you even just once, it was worth it.

Confirmed? There's times after I've been shot up that only the top rows are ruined, while the bottom rows are fine. I think it just matters where on the item you've been shot.

Try experimental. Hacker every time I play on stable, been playing for a while now on experimental and haven't find a single one.

How about this: No firearms. Improvised bow, crossbow, or melee weapons only. Created backpacks only. No canned food, must hunt or fish. Canteen and rain water/ponds only.

I always keep it in my backpack, seems to be the last to go, but the backpack did get shot, some stuff got ruined by the MP5-K just went damaged.

My MP5-K got damaged after a battle, and I've also had damaged pistols before.

Happens to everyone. It's fixed in experimental.

Today while playing I took a 1911 shot to the chest through my press vest - went from pristine to badly damaged and I was perfectly fine.

I've encountered countless amounts of hackers. I've been playing video games long enough to know the difference between hacks and game bugs. To everyone saying "I've played x amount of hours and haven't met a hacker", well good for you. Keep on truckin. But for those of us who run into them frequently, it's a game ruiner. Spend hours gearing up to lose it all to a hacker, and it's pathetic how much of them they are. I've seen a hacker almost every time I've played DayZ on stable servers in the past couple months, however, after switching to experimental I have not encountered a single hacker. Just give it a try, ditch the stable and switch to experimental. Cause honestly, wouldn't you rather die from a freak glitch instead of a guy flying around shooting unlimited ammo?

AKM is a beast, BUT, the mosin is in a whole different class. As for the M4, the thing is comparable to a sporter .22 with a 30 clip. It's been a hunk of junk every time I've used it, and I would not trust my life with an M4 in DayZ's current build.

I unloaded a 30 round MP5-K clip in to somebody's chest, and before the game registered that he should be dead, he managed to kill me with a sporter .22 rifle. Athough the last person I killed with the MP5-k was in the same situation, but the other person had an AKM, not a sporter .22, and I dropped him before he dropped me (fast fire-rate FTW?), and let me tell you from experience, the AKM isn't a weak gun. And a few times I have axed somebody in the face only to die, and run back to my body to find that my axe had registered a hit after I had died and found the enemy's body laying there right on top of mine.

Was testing them the other day, they seem to be broken currently. However, once they are fixed, you could gather up enough of them and place them throughout the city, possibly down the main road every x amount of meters. Turn them all on, and sit safely approx 800-1000m away (when the signal cuts off unless that distance has been changed) and broadcast out. Passers will hear the through the walkies as if it were a player in direct chat, even if they are on the ground. Problems, however, you would need a small group helping you with upkeep. Doing rounds on the walkie talkies, replacing batteries. Another problem is, you need to be aware when the server restarts are happening so that your crew can gather up the walkie talkies before the server restarts. Maybe designate a couple people to keep suiciding and running back with new batteries.

Crossfire frames are terrible, I have dual 7950s and I disable the second card in DayZ and get higher frames. Never tried SLI, but I imagine it's also terribly optimized for the game. I'd recommend reverting back all the changes you made, then try DayZ. If it works and the frames are dropping still, disable SLI for the DayZ application and play like that. But if reverting doesn't work, maybe a re installation of DayZ.

There seems to be some servers on their own private hive, or at least not syncing with the central hive properly. Therefore, you can have multiple characters across servers.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe ballistic helmets help you at all for melee, only bullet damage. It's the motorcycle helmet you want. (somebody correct me if it's wrong)
