gotta found out elsewhere there has been small updates made/to come....:( seriously need to work on the spawns better, pushing more and more fresh spawns to a smaller area of the map is gonna mean more empty towns for fresh spawns to starve in, and berezino will be a deathmatch, if people even make it off the coast, hopefully the coastal village spawns means more than just the east coast, would like to see some spawns between cherno and elektro -
What's your most recent mistake in DayZ?

i was on an empty server, and decide to take a few seconds to grab some snacks in the next room, looked all around and thought i was safe, came back to 2 zombies beating me. Before i could do anything i saw myself get knocked unconscious, so players or not its not safe to leave the computer even for a second lol -
as you are aware i use the set selector, i just assign the inventory to the 4 face, 4 d-pads, and back and start. thinking of making the set selector button also use the key that shows the hotbar, just to tweak it abit I have a really good setup for the mod, being able to use lean keys, all the standard stuff, then stuff like binoculars, fire mode, night vision, compass, all that stuff assigned aswell. just the standalone uses more keys for the inventory so im still working on making a good setup also, about a year ago someone made a post with their xpadder profile for the mod, showing what was used, and you could download the profile. it had just about everything, with holds, double taps, and everything else. dont know if it still exists now though

really good guide, you have learned the program well now i have questions for you...lol how well do your hold zones work? I couldn't get it configured right, i just added one button, then hold zone, then the next button, i tried tweaking the timing alot, but all i got was either my character would random crouch or prone when pressed, or a different tweak means if i hold it, i crouch then prone straight after when pressed also what do you mean by hot bar left and hot bar right? the way i set up my hot bar is while holding the left bumper (set selector), i press the corresponding buttons on my d-pad for 1 to 4, back and start are 5 and 6, and a,b,x,y is 7 to 0 -

id say stick with what you think is best, i used to use a keyboard and mouse back in the days of counter-strike 1.6, and although i adjusted then i didnt feel i was playing as good as i should. my problem lies more with the keyboard than the mouse, i like the precision of the mouse, so when it came to dayz, i already had a bit of practice with xpadder for fallout, so i roughly matched my config to that zeromi, did you try going into each individual control and removing the assignment for the in game menu? that way the controller is still considered "active" by the game, but isnt programmed to do anything. so you go to controls, then infantry options, then select fire weapon (as an example) hit edit, and you should see: left mouse click gamepad button 10 or something along those lines, then you click gamepad button then, then the onscreen delete option. I did that for every control, except WASD movement, as it allowed walk-run sensitivity on the analog ill be on later tonight so il see if i can get a more accurate description, maybe a screenshot if i knew how to upload it to here lol -

glad i can help! :D was it the controller being turn on in-game? for your walk run speed.....best way i sorted it, which isnt a great way as it contradicts what i said to help last time lol... but basically enable controller, then go through all the keys, and the main ones are auto assigned to buttons (Which caused your conflict im guessing) so for example you would go the "fire weapon" and hit edit, it should say left mouse button, then below it, gamepad button 5 (something like that) so you click on the gamepad button 5, then click delete, do that for all the controls except WASD. when you use a gamepad and WASD set up in your in game menu, when you move the stick slowly it will walk, then if you move it all the way it will run (or you can config it to make you sprint instead) also, i recommend trying out set selectors, as this allows you to get more buttons onto your gamepad without...actually having more buttons lol -

check the in game controls aren't set to bring up map by pressing E. also disable controller for the in game options, it causes conflicts -

i believe they are gonna change the look of the doors to appear barricaded, so you can tell why they dont open but opening up the rooms would be better -

i hope they continue swapping out repeated buildings for new buildings around the map, such as replacing the orange house with a police station in elektro, but still keeping an orange house in the city, variety is good -
sounds to me like massive desync is throwing you out the window and down to the ground when i was on a bad desync server on an older patch, i was upstairs in a house and suddenly died, my friend came to check my body for anyone around and found me outside in the garden so maybe you are being moved to somewhere and being killed because of it

I dont think the SVD has a auto-fire and a 20 bullet clip though? i dont mind slow firing bolt action rifles And I dont mind the SKS as im pretty sure you can't get any kind of long range scope on it? Ive only tested the PU scope on it -
i agree with more environment sounds, ambience is good. however i dont like ambient sounds like that gate sound or another that sounds like someone hitting a metal barrel however i would like the option to turn off the bugs, and birds themselves, while it is nice having them in the world, in the aftermath and dayzero mods bugs and birds were turned off which was one factor that improved FPS. So if we can already make the terrain look low quality, and bushes and trees practically see-through, then it would be nice to have an option which helps lower end PCs, but at the same time not affecting gameplay (core mechanics, exploiting, overall graphics) though it would be nice, its not a major thing and sits very low on a hopeful to-do list

i would like to see more selection of shotguns, as it requires abit more of a close touch rather than everyone going for rifles on a slightly different note, i heard somewhere that dmr would be implemented at some point, i hope this weapon never makes it into SA -
Changes in spawnpoints compared to the mod

i think with the recent map changes they should bring in spawn points west of elektro, around that mountain area, if not as far as prigorodki (sp?) its just as quick to run from solnichney to either berezino or elektro. So people should be able to spawn on that part of the south coast and choose to walk either to cherno or elektro would spread out fresh spawn players & available loot. -
never really thought about the fail on riding a bike with broken legs you could also drive a car with broken legs, still working the pedals. im sure thats something they will look at when the time comes

watching that guy cycling around makes me really wanna drive around in a bike in dayz. though it looked like he had his brightness and gamma unreasonably high

bikes would be nice, when they are ready though i dont think any of the non-lone wolf people have considered that sure you could get from A to B alot quicker, but you still have to do it alone, which makes playing together abit awkward. Maybe they should add a tandem bike? lol but really id like to see a few different class of bikes, standard, racing, mountain bike

are you just loading to the title screen and seeing the wrong account? the title screen normally shows the last account played as, so if you load into a server it should load up the character of whoever is signed into steam -
i laughed when i read the title of this post and thought it sounds so silly...but then i thought about it and the uses and it would be handy once throwing is introduced and im under fire im going to throw a hat in the air to see if it gets shot

theres a difference between banditry, and the OP, what you did was take out possible threats in a high risk zone, and you made choices based on your circumstances, thats necessary survival mixed with banditry and some heroism - thats dayz sitting on a hill near a city full of fresh spawns, sniping as many people you can before you die is just lame, posting a video on youtube "showing off" your "skills" is just lamer

wow, you are not a bandit, not even a KOSer, you are just someone who should not be playing the game bandits are fine, cause they work for their kill or torture of other players, you just sit on a hill and snipe fresh spawns, then write "i wanted that bag" yet you wernt wearing it in the whole video. you also seem to be a very terrible shot with anything that isnt a moisin with LRS call of dookie misses you kid

clearly never tried running to a gate being chased by zombies and trying to make the action button pop up so you can open it I hear it will be removed soon though, so only the bunny hop jump exists by pressing v

theres 10 year olds running round on the game already as a console gamer before pc, I would love to see a console version, and don't think it would do any damage i think next gen could run the final version of the game, but I do wonder about the map, with the only closest i have seen is gta5 and skyrim. the only problem I see is that xbox 360 and ps3 only support 16 players, with the new consoles maybe supporting 32. which is considerably lower than 50 or even 150 as dean plans to be I believe it will go to xbox one, since dean was impressed with what xbox pitched to him more so than playstation, then again it will probably go to both consoles

im pretty sure you drag it in your hands i dont read the books, maybe when persistent storage is in i will keep one at my camp/base, but i know id die and never find the book im reading again
