Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

I'm currently in Elektro, gathering some medical supplies and whatnot, if you're still in need of a hand send me a server and how long before you'll be on and I'll meet you and fix you up.
  6. Pretty sure you need to fix them up Yoko, then again I'm yet to find one and am only basing this on most other vehicles I've found. ~Santa
  7. Admirable goals Danneh, also it was one hell of a fight. You worked damn well (Don't mind the pun) and I wish you luck in your endeavors, actually it's nice to get attacked by a "legit" group for once and you certainly did a good job.

    DayZ Stories

Last night I was searching for a decent server, now due to the multiplayer server list being nonexistent I had to find the IP address of the server I wanted to play on. This was no trouble and I was soon in a server. I spent a few minutes waiting for my previous character to die, once that had happened I respawned, however the server seemed to be causing me FPS issues so I switched to another one. Chernarus Day 0 Elektozavodsk lo The words popped up on the side of my screen, Elektro is one of my favourite spawns well that and Balota; Cherno and I never really got on. Now I did my usual looting, train station, fire station, general store, Café, office building and then to the power plant. I had only acquired a revolver by this point which wasn't too bad but wouldn't be much use if I met a player. As I neared the station I heard a large amount of flies, I climbed to the top of the tower and found two bodies, one of them had practically nothing however the other had a hatchet, not much but a weapon at the least. I started to climb downstairs when I heard shots from an M series weapon, they were to my right and below me. I lay down on the first floor of the station, hatchet at the ready pointed at the stairs. I lay here for 20 minutes or so, the shots continued and I didn't move. Then I heard a voice over direct coms, it was quiet but I wasn't sure if they were far away or whispering, it said "I can see you" "Come out" "Hello? I know you're there". I continued to lay still and didn't reply. After five minutes of silence I made my way to the main floor of the station. Nothing. I knew someone was in the area still as the shots continued, they sounded as if they were right behind me but I paid no heed now. I ran out of the fire station and out into the wilds.

    [Video] DayZ Ported to Podagorsk

If this was to become the map for Dayz prior to the standalone game...well that would be amazing. What you've done looks amazing and I really hope we can see this in game at some point. ~Santa
  10. Hello forum goers, my name is Chris or better known by my online alias Santaman. I have created this thread so like-minded players can share interesting or downright beautiful locations that they have found whilst exploring this lovely part of Chernarus. (The game map is set in the eastern part of Chernarus in a region known as South Zagoria, or so my limited research tells me) Considering I am the one who's started this thread I think it's only fitting for me to tell you of a location that I find appealing. Castle Zub viewed from the east, the way the tower sticks out from the forest and watches over the surrounding area really strikes me. It looks even better in the early morning light or at sunset. Whilst I would like this thread to be a discussion of already seen places it would be nice if people also posted about a place they'd like to see. (For both things pictures would probably be good, I'm going against what I've said here I suppose but I can always find a picture at somepoint) Now a place I'd like to visit is the region around Skalka, I've been on top of Misty peak and whilst it's certainly a nice area it's a bit empty. On the map the region around Skalka which I think is south of the pass appears to have a few buildings that may prove interesting, the hill itself has both open and wooded areas on it and hopefully I'll be able to get a good view of the surrounding areas. Okay now that my post is done and written I open the gates to the explorers out there!

    Beautiful locations discussion thread.

Nice pictures there Andrej I think either the first picture or the last one is my favourite, I love the silhouette on the horizon but the sky in the first image just looks amazing. I think it's safe to say Chernarus is a lovely place.

    Beautiful locations discussion thread.

That second picture truly is a sight, the rain always serves to immerse me further into the game for some reason, and rainbows, well I think most of us can agree they really are a sight to be seen.

    Freeside Trading Co.

On a whole the night was great fun, perhaps not a complete success but very enjoyable. After we got players allocated into groups it seemed to work quite well, however the fact we were unable to communicate between the groups was a bit confusing (however this is more to do with teamspeak than anything else) it was also hard to differentiate between teamspeak and direct chat. Those are just a couple of things I picked up from the after event 'de-briefing' and my own experience. ~Chris

    Freeside Trading Co.

Pardon the late comment but if you're still looking for anyone for tonight I may be of assistance. Steam Name Christmas40 TS3 Name Santaman2346 In-Game Name Santaman2346 Forum Name Santaman2346 Timezone (UTC) + 0 (I believe this is correct I'm on GMT if that's of any help) Roles you would like to fill: Guard, Gatherer or Pilot. However the latter may not be the greatest of ideas, I've got a few hours flying experience but I'm still far from well trained on the matter. Pardon the late reply, I know I'm cutting it a bit fine. Many thanks. ~Chris
  18. The M14 is one helluva gun, not found one or even let myself try one in the editor. Hopefully the moment when I first find one will be as magical as I hope. Now off my gun fantasies. ~Chris
  19. If you've got the items in the game yet you dare not log in what's the point in having them in the first place? Or was it merely meant to mean you are very reluctant to risk these items due to having become attached to them due to both their rarity and usefulness? ~Chris

    My backpack is frightening

Running in the forest, someone behind me? Looking through the shadows is he trying to find me? Breaths in the wind I jump in air, finger pulled the trigger but there's nobody there. Shot rang out and they came to find me, crawl into the ditch where they'll never see. Look behind there's somebody there! Oh wait it's my shadow I'm too easily scared. Bandit on the hill gun aimed at my head, shot rang out and now I'm dead. Please wait 5 seconds to respawn. ~Chris

    Didn't mommy ever teach you..

I lol'ed so hard. My mommy didnt teach me anything about surviving in a zombie Apocalypse' date=' [/quote'] Then she didn't teach you enough! "Parenting rule 765: The first thing you need to teach your child after they can walk is how to hold a gun, survive off the land, kill without remorse and trust no-one" Or was that Taliban tots? ~Chris

You sad (and very much dead) bandit and friend

Player killing is a part of the game and it is unfortunate that people are shooting those recently spawned players with nothing more than a torch, painkillers and a bandage to their name, but for now that's just a risk we have to live with. Also your usage of the axe made me laugh a bit, would be especially interesting if they were still 'Fus Roh Dah' axes as Rocket called them. ~Chris

    Use blood bags on yourself

Whilst it would be handy to be able to use a blood-bag on yourself it would remove one of the very few aspects of the mod that require player to player cooperation, you can regain blood from eating food albeit at a slower rate that uses more resources. Your best bet would be to do just this, eat food, preferably cooked meat but that require matches, wood and of course some meat to cook. Your point about if someone was around they'd shoot you isn't always true it depends on the person(s) you meet, now it's certainly disheartening to find that a large proportion of those you meet are after your head on a spike but once you start to speak to people through Direct chat I've found people are more likely to cooperate once speech is established. Now you'll still be shot at and you'll still die but there's someone out there that is looking for a friend and is perhaps in the same position as you, it just takes time and a lot of frustration to find someone, a bit like love I suppose... ~Chris

One town as the last stand of human race...

Whilst a safe zone would be interesting I personally prefer Logan's idea of a last stand location which failed, ultimately ending in the deaths of those who tried to hold out. If not told through journals or something similar perhaps a road sign that's been changed by survivors then as you get closer you see birds circling overhead until you reach the town edge and see the bodies. As you make your way through the town you would find the bodies of people in houses grouped together perhaps surrounded by zombies, a smoking campfire and other things such as this that suggest the town was recently 'alive'. It would help create a sense that all of humanity in Chernarus has collapsed, not that we really need it due to the whole zombie situation, however to find small stories like this would be an interesting thing to see. I know some will find me comparing this to Fallout 3 a bit jarring but you would often find scenes such as this in that game, a skeleton holding a pistol and whiskey or the famous skeleton in a bath clutching a toaster. Now I'm not saying we should have things identical to this but similar things, and that's my long winded opinion on the matter that I probably could (and should) have condensed into a paragraph. ~Chris
  25. Sorry if I'm writing this amidst a conversation but I have a query (this may have been previously been asked and answered in the other pages but I'm in a wee bit o' a rush) would this trading post also function as sort of a Survivor meeting point? A place where people could meet up, sit around camp-fires, eat beans and tell stories; or will it function solely as a place where people will trade?
