Hello DayZ Community! --Please read this before calling me stupid names-- I've been playing DayZ mod for several months together with some freinds and i love the game! I will be as honest as i can, we had played on the same server for months, we were freinds with everybody and we were freinds with everybody on the server. We even got two new buddies who i still talk and play other games with. But no matter how pathetic this sounds, i hacked/scripted.. Normally we could easily handle getting killed, even by hackers and we had our base looted a couple of time and stuff like that, thats a normal aspect of the game. (Well, not the hacker part) But this hacker logged on to the server and killed everybody, destroyed our bases and alll our vehicles. We were all pissed. While being pissed, one of my freinds came up with an idea, there had been loads of hackers on the server and we had never seen one getting banned, so why shouldn't we just go hack our stuff back. It ended up with me doing it, i got our stuff back and played the rest of the day like any other day i was playing DayZ. But the next day, when i logged into the server, i saw that i was global banned. I could no longer play dayz beacuse i had to be a cheater for a night. I know that hacking/scripting should ALWAYS have consequenses, and i'm glad they have, but now i wanna play DayZ again. I know, whatever you did, if its cheating it's the same (by the book atleast). Now after reading this, you have all rights to calling me all those names that you guys usually call people that have done what i did. Beacuse we do deserve it :/ But i have learned my lesson and i would never do anything like that again in DayZ, thats why i'll pay to be able to play again. Lastly, i think everybody have once done something they shouldn't have done and that they regret doing, even you.. --My Question-- I bought my original copy of Arma 2: combined operations (Arma 2 + Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead) on steam. That cd-key got banned (read above). If i want to play the game again, do i have to make a new steam account and buy the game again? And i'm always online on my original steam account and i wouldn't like having to change steam account everytime i wan't to play DayZ. I can't buy the game in handheld version and i would prefer buying it on steam, even if i have to pay a little more. I would like as clear instructions as possible, even tho how pathetic this is. - William, a DayZ player who had to cheat for a night.
