So basic common sense applies. No personal insults, slurs, harassment of any form, or vulgarity! I understand flames, (popcorn) drama, heated discussions happen, keep it civil or least be courteous to others reading, but moment you take it personal and use slurs, offensive slang to insult someone, chances are you will be gone. No promoting of cheats or hacks. No asking for CD-Keys, Generators, or info on how to make a pirated copy work. (Or anything Warez related) No spamming/flooding the channel. Be patient. Sometimes no one will see your question for quite a while if they are away from the computer or busy elsewhere. Sometimes people are chatting but no one answers your question. Just ask your question and hang out in the channel until you see some activity or find someone willing to assist you. Do not ask every two minutes. If no-one answers you may ask again 15 to 20 minutes later. Server related inquires should FIRST be directed at http://support.dayzmod.com before checking in chat for advice. No automated scripts or bots. (Nothing that triggers automatically to speak up in chat, MP3 announcers, greetings, away/back messages, or anything else that could disrupt chat.) NSFW, Porn, Offensive links are not permitted in #DayZ. Please try to keep things PG-16 No promoting of Private Hive server hosting services. (Now if you run a private hive, thats fine, just please do not come in spamming your IP away. Right now main room is for official servers) If you are asked to stop, or take a chat outside of #DayZ, please do so. If you have an issue with someone, please tell an Op. If you are banned, then there is no rule to saying when you will be welcomed back in. However for the most part, bans may be cleared 30-60 days from when they occured. Please keep in mind as well.. that should you be doing something illegal in regards to Bohemia Interactive Studios and its property, we reserve the right to take disciplinary action on you on any connected site and community. Pass the info on. !weather (location) - Gives you a weather report. !bothelp - Directs you to this thread. !map - Links you to the Android and Web based map of DayZ. !loot - Links you to the current cheat sheet for drops. !badtime - Couple jokes for you. =) !wiki - DayZ Search. If you just do !wiki it takes you to main page, if you type !wiki SearchTerm it will give you that result. !server - Takes you to the server ticket system and info on hosting a server. !german - News and Info about DayZ for German speaking people. !mumble - Info on the Mumble server people use in the community. !cheater - Links you to the cheater and reporting forum. !banlist - Community Banlist for server admins to use. !rescue - Reddit Rescue Force info for players in need of help in DayZ. (Not for newbie mentor help either) On top of this. Urls posted in chat will be parsed by the bot to make it easier for others to know what it is about. (Also a good way to be able to know what a link is about before clicking a bad one)

Ok so after shifting all these replies. I can assume the MAIN rule you all would love added is the permission to kick/ban suspected hackers you see doing "non normal" events. Is that correct? Now should the issue come up, would you all have the means to show "proof" of suspected hacking should the question come up?

Ok I read what you say but 1: How do you prevent "leetism" now with "whitelisting" users on your server. Now for a game that connects to central hive, you are locking, kicking, banning people you dont approve of. 2: Kicking possible hackers, well thats a trick isnt it. Id say you could kick them, but how do you prove they are hacking? 3: How do you control server admins on a global scale thats EVEN for everyone? This IS alpha again. Which means everyone should be testing the same, allowing for fixes etc. Example. If EVERYONE did the lockdown. Hackers/exploiters wont get in. Ok sounds great.. um.. one issue, how does battleeye detect those people? How do new exploits get recorded, patched against? During alpha its BETTER to lock those down before beta builds and final builds.

Ok let me try this a different way, vs listing to posts that really wont get anywhere. How about you all post "rule ideas" you feel should be added to the list. Then that list could be passed on maybe.

Ok let me jump in here. YES everyone knows cheaters/hackers SUCK. Its made a mess of things and forced some people to even resort to unofficial servers. (Which is bad anyways atm during alpha stage) Now things are being worked on each patch to BAN those ppl and once banned, they have to buy another key again. As for rules. Some adjustment may be needed, however that wont help vs hackers really. Just those lame cheating server admins who use their server for personal gain. However if caught, they are black listed. So if they are paying monthly for a server. Thats a loss on THEIR end. Kinda would suck too no? Now keep in mind, DayZ is FREE. No one paid for it yet. Now people who rent servers out, that IS their choice. Its nice to see real admins do the real testing deal. However its not a god given right yet. Alpha means its testing, new features, fixes and so. Once things mess up in beta builds, THEN people could have more of a reason to get mad. Just for now.. have to be patient and see how each patch plays out. That or maybe choose to suspend hosting a server till things are more to your personal liking. Thats just my view on it.

Closing thread, cause indeed, Private servers are not permitted at this stage of the game. I know people do it, I know people have VALID reasons for it. However during this alpha stage of the game. If no one is doing things correctly, how can things be tested, stress tested, fixed, and updated. I know at this stage this game is just a mod. However some things during alpha have to be respected. Thanks. =)

To "me" this still looks like Battle Eye Banned you, which their support is here. http://battleye.com/support.html So unless I am wrong somehow, but I have never heard of anyone getting those banned messages that you showed in this thread and the other that wasnt battleeye related. You might be able to get on other servers, yes, but that doesnt mean those are connected to the central hive which are BE protected.

Looks to me that you are BattleEye banned. Which is not the admin. Youd have to check here. http://battleye.com/support.html

If you have a 512mb Graphics card, that can lag you up pretty bad. DayZ you should least have a 1Gb model.
