Nobody realises that you can find a toolbox in ANY shed......... quit looting Elektrodavsk and Chernogorsk, head North.... along your way loot the sheds in Zelenogorsk there is a good chance you WILL find a toolbox. Proceed to NWAF and cut-down wire fences that may be put up. Loot and get awesome weapons. Pick up some strangers along the way. I got a MK48 Mod 0,M24,Coyote backpack,Everything you need for wilderness survival, and a toolbox along with enough barricades to build a fort, in a short amount of time by doing this. -

Don"t be lazy and keep looting the South until you have the best gear around. Instead go north. If you do so and you are like me you will soon have the following in your inventory. MK48 Mod 0 (best automatic weapon in the game argueably) M4A1 All tools for wilderness survival toolbox and enough barricades to build a fortress a 10-man group Go north, go north, go north, go north, go north, and all your troubles shall be solved..... aside from a few bandits at NWAF. -

Nuts.... Toolboxes are ALL OVER Northwest Airifield.... The only place I have found barricaded was the barracks, I used the toolbox (That I found at NWAF) and removed it while my buds covered my back. Also... unless your doing a straight sprint to NWAF you can find a toolbox in any shed. -
The north has so many pro players that scavenge NWAF with toolboxes..... I don"t think that it will get wired anytime soon. As for Zelenogorsk and Berezino. People up north assault Berezino alot, and Zelenogorsk really only has a grocery store worth looting. (I barricaded it once while I was waiting for medical supplies and never removed it)

Max......... do you notice how everyone is moaning and whining about how.... they can"t get into places with lots of loot in MAJOR CITIES IN THE SOUTH. I have found two toolboxes in the past 2 days. In the south people simply find a toolbox.... get wire and tanktraps,barricade things. Instead of being lazy and just camping your southern loot spawns and waiting till your kitted out with an M16,M9SD,Coyote backpack, and waiting to get all the tools you need for wilderness survival. Go north.... I went north and I got the MK48 Mod 0 with red dot sight, (Best automatic weapon in the game aside from the gun on the Huey) M4A1 with 6 mags and a toolbox... along with enough fortifacations to build a fortress.... and no I am not a bandit, I lead a group of 10 men in the North. So my message to the people complaining of barricades at there classic loot-camping places in the south, My message is GO NORTH.

I hear that communications like cellphones/radios will be implemented in patch 1.8, I have decided to make a suggestion on how the radios could work. Enjoy.... Radios would be lootable items.. the most common of these would be the 20-Watt AM Radio. It can send and recieve signals from about 50km away (not sure how hard it is to code this..) it must be deployed on the ground however, it can be turned on and off once it is setup using the mouse scroll. This is your typical household radio and can be found in residential/civilian areas along with finding them commonly in supermarkets. You would also need batteries (That gives me another suggestion... adding batteries for NVG"s and flashlights in order to keep them working) The AM radio would also have reduced transmitting range at night by 10KM (ITS SCIENCE) (Takes up 1-2 inventory slots) The second most common would be the FM Radio. I"m not really familiar with how these work.. but let's say they transmit 125km and have to be deployed they would not recieve a negative transmitting penalty at night. This would take up 3-4 inventory slots. They need to be deployed just like the AM radio and burn up your batteries faster. The rarest radios can only be found at military loot spawns or on dead zombies soldiers bodies. These would be portable radios that take up the tool slot. You do not have to deploy them and they require batteries. These can pickup radio signals from 100KM away they can be turned off using the mouse scroll. Well those are my ideas for radios...

Time: 6:55 - 7:02 AM EST Server: Canada 2 What I was doing : Looting Zelenogorsk What Happened: In the middle of a fun session of DAY-Z gaming near Zelenogorsk my friend tells me over steamchat about "Explosions".... not any explosions .... he said they were MASSIVE, here is the screenshots (Between 4:30 to 5:00 AM EST) http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/578959610336856091/4B4B9FEABC69FBA0837CBB14BE1458D62F8F845 He was just getting out of debug forest... using the Canada 2 trick. He makes his way to meet me in Zelenogorsk we cook some meat at the grocery store having fun and playing games.... my friend there though.. he has that invisible glitch. I tell him to install DAY-Z correctly. using some youtube tutorials. He logs back on and does some respawning (his DAY-Z works correctly now) and then he tells me of a "Jet that crashed" here is the screenshots http://puu.sh/ChEs (This is between 6:55 and 7:00 when he discovered it) Shortly after, I die.... I couldn"t screenshot it because I don"t have puu.sh and launching through the DAY-Z Beta means you cannot use Steam to screenshot anything. We never got the guys name.

ARMA 2"S base game has the abilty of construction. For example you can build WALLS such as the H-Barrier or.... MG EMPLACEMENTS.... and..... BARBED WIRE I"m sure you can transfer this over to DAY-Z with a little coding, right? It would work something like this..... Little Timmy and his friends acquire a toolbox. Little Timmy uses his mouse scroll and sees "Construction" he opens up "Construction" and finds all kinds of things he can build. For a price.... Little Timmy notices he has $0 Little Timmy notices something else after that called "Buy Weapons" he opens up "Buy Weapons" and sees a list of his inventory items he double clicks on his M249 SAW and earns cash..... he then double clicks on his road flares and earns $10 construction money. He then opens up construction again and notices he has $3010 ,he can now build a variety of things anywere he wants to. Optional Things He decides to build a "Headquarters" for $3000. Little Timmy notices in "Buy Weapons" He can now buy a variety of guns like the M107 or mabye a silenced Makarov PM (Which is only buildable/obtainable from a base) Very controversial things that are optional Little Timmy.... pops up his map.... theres something diffrent... All the towns have squares in them and a list of how much $ they give..... he heads to one of the towns with the squares.... it"s calle Komorovo. Once he gets there.... after about 2 minutes at the square he pops up his map... Komorovo is now (Pick a color) and he is getting $$$ from the town. He invites his friends over..... Timmy decides to make Komarovo histeams base of operations. He builds H-Barriers and barbed-wire at the Komorovafactory and builds an MG Nest and alot of H-barriers at the roof of it. He builds a "Light Factory" he now has the option to build a HMMWV,Offroad Pickup,Ural,and HMMWV M2.(Keep out the HMMWV Avenger and TOW.... we aren"t building none of that) After getting ALOT of money he builds a helipad.... He can now build (Insert helis that should be buildable in DAY-Z). All of the sudden bandits start shooting at Timmy"s base. Timmy raises the alarm and his team fights valiantly but loses. (During this time he cannot build) The bandits take over Timmy"s base.... when the head bandit takes Timmy"s toolbox from his body. All of Timmy"s buildings and fortifactions/Cash go under the bandits control. More things that could/probaly shouldn"t be implemented in the system Timmy builds a Barracks.... he can now build controllable AI members This is just the base idea.... it could be exploited by server hopping into a base and then shooting everyone in the back and also how a person could put H-Barriers around all of Elektro. (Mabye we should limit how many blocks are buildable per H-Barrier buy.) Feel free to add your own ideas and give feedback.

I have this aswell. I spawned with a bandit skin... and also when you have the "Poltergeist" glitch you can jump off a two story building without dieing and cannot be killed zombies. The only thing that kills the "Poltergeist" is a CZ550 and thermal vision :/ -

I think that"s good enough for "PC Specs" After I installed 1.7.7.1 I logged into a server with bandit skin,invulnerabilty,and invisibility *When I looked at myself in 3rdperson*Heres some screenies.... there are other people complaining *I also appear to be 8 Feet tall*I know it is a bandit skin because in 1st person the gloves/boots are visible *Notice how im bleeding with green blood level the entire way through* http://imgur.com/l5AGu,EcaVJ,gFYFG,hwCHb,5RlHn *2-5th photos you will see what im talking about. Virfortis.... Those are REAL ugh.... Not sure what words to use..... people have come up with many names for those type of people... but they are FAGS.... and shouldn"t be able to play the game AT ALL. I have never DCed in the face of PvP that"s just for cowards and unskillful people who are kitted out really good. Here is a story such as yours.... One day walking in Stary Sobor, I hear three diffrent calibers of bullets firing off. A revolver, a CZ550 and a Makarov... the Makarov stops... being the righteous bandit hunter I am I investigate. I have a Lee Enfield and an M1911 along with a few other intermediate-class goodies. I get shot by the CZ550 and run to cover in a building.... I have 300 blood *I was bandaged* and could have easily DCed. 30 seconds later I pass out. I wake up to hear a revolver shooting at me. I empty one Lee Enfield round into the opponents chest. He falls down with blood oozing out of him, then I die. His buddy is far-away and the man would have bled out. Then I see that the player has disconnected. Now his bud can just walk over.... wait for his buddy to respawn and bandage him. I hate these kinds of people..... But... if the game is all fair and balanced skill,intelligence,charism, and leadership save you. Eventually the dcing will be fixed.............. Cheaters alone shouldn"t deter you from enjoying the game. Unless it REALLY impacts your fun-happy time.... I will agree 100% that that cheaters mess-up gameplay.

I"ve been playing DAY-Z for 2 weeks.... 75% of people I have encountered are friendly. You want to hear a story..... in my happy travels in Elektro as I was leaving the church a bandit with his M1911 and Lee Enfield started shooting at me with his M1911...... in about 5 seconds I shot 3 Makarov rounds into his face and he fell down then died. That was because of my skill. There were a gang of 5 bandits offering an M4SD tricking people in Elektrodavsk that they were friendly.... me and my 2 other companions (Whom I met 8 minutes ago) Trusted my leadership and judgement and fell for the trap... that was because of me. Whether you live or die is based on your skill,intelligence,leadership,and charisma My skill saved me,my intelligence helped me, my charisma makes me seem trustworthy and friendly,my leadership allows me to lead a group of 5 men without them questioning a word of what I say. If you can"t handle that 1/4 of the playerbase (evenless) are bandits then feel free to leave.... I encountered a hacker and left the game. It"s as simple as that people.... When you hear reports of an AH-64 Apache killing people you should leave. What i"m saying is.... if you can"t handle getting killed by bandits (WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THE THREATS IN THIS GAME, ROCKET"S LORE STATES THE SURVIVORS ARE IMMUNE, THIS IS WHY EVERYONE ELSE WAS OVERWHELMED AND KILLED INCLUDING THE MILITARY EXCEPT SURVIVORS) then you just suck. That is all.

After reading a bit..... I have discovered many....... strange things.... sometimes with proof.... I will tell you of them around our survivor campfire. 1. Radio signals There has been photographed proof of radios in DAY-Z as a lootable item. But here is were it gets interesting. After the item has been looted a radio signal similar to that of "Number Stations" starts to play See this to know what I mean>>>>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbers_station Tales say the morse code in this translates to We are no longer alive STOP this message will play every hour if operators are no longer responsive STOPMESSAGE unable to quarintine subject change STOPMESSAGE >End transmission< (Samsquatch decoded it) The numbers in the message reveal the location of deer stands using map cordinates 2. "The Detective" Tales say of someone on Side Channels speaking gibberish approximately 3:00 AM at night..... also being sighted near military places of importance such as deer stands but.. if the server has nametags.... the name will appear orange..... That is all for the time being......:huh: there is more to be discovered in DAY-Z... more to discover about how the end of the world came to be.... if you find any strange anomalies, feel free to put them on this thread. Most threads will beg to bring the bandit skin back because the game is turning into a deathmatch. Then they will get told people don"t magically change clothes during the apocalypse. Well last time I played my Fallout 3 (Post apocalyptic game based on a nuclear war) the bandits/raiders had mohawks and just looked diffrent from your average joe. (KILL THE MOHAWKS) And many of the post-apocalyptic movies I watch also use this type of bandit/raider stereotype or should I say skin. Of course there were people who would look normal and then backstab you (Not by killing your soul but more by stealing your possesions..... They weren"t crazy enough to just go and kill you THEN take your stuff) When a survivor yells to a bandit THIS ISN"T A DEATHMATCH IT"S A ROLEPLAYING GAME, when they"re shot in the head with a Makarov the bandit says back. Oh well im role-playing a serial killer whos insane. The insane raiders/bandits just look diffrent then survivors. And this is just another one of dozens of requests to bring back the bandit skin. (PS Insane people are usually not to bright and just want to look all bad and evil with there Mohawks) Here is another one of dozens of requests to bring the skin back...... (Bandit attack incoming since they want to keep there element of surprise since theres no skin and brag about how they killed 5 guys ... that"s easy with a CZ550) -

Since that whole if someone shoots you and you fire back and kill them in 5 minutes it"s NOT a murder update happened, it"s alot harder to get a bandit skin in self-defense. That was one of the main problems with the bandit skin. But since that is..... improved upon all the more reason to bring back the skins.. -
