Battleye... I'm thinking it's not good

BE did a good job on the mod lately. Haven't been killed due to a cheat for more than 200 days.
  2. Just for the sake of being unpleasant? Nope, 1st person belongs to the game as exactly as the 3rd person does.
  3. Just played myself for maybe 3 hours and seriously, removing the third person view is absolutely out of question at present. The controls and moving is so clunky, laggy and chewy - worse than in the mod - I can't believe that's even a debate. Sure it has to stay in. Rubber banding, warping forth and back, through walls... you are so often disoriented due to that, happens you are running completely into the opposite direction without noticing. While in 3rd person I at least have an idea what happens. Because I saw that I just somehow warped downstairs, backwards trough the kitchen, through the wall and back, ending up somewhere in the neighbours house. Yep, it's alpher, one day it will be a smoothe and fluent gameplay experience, but this still will take a serious share of time. Until then, for me removing 3rd person is not even close to be considered.

map in 4 pieces is nonsense thing

Nope, never going to do this anymore. The faster you get a pro, the sooner you'll miss that feeling as you were a rookie in that game.

Please for the love of god don't add "Sanity."

If you played several days in a team without killing surviver, you actually could get a hero pretty fast, just by taking care and having medical supplies. This happened to me most of the time on private hives though, didn't find sth like this on a public hub.

Yep, some bandits used to buff each other with humanity. Those twisted souls...

Please for the love of god don't add "Sanity."

I think there are two approaches on that. One sees it as additional gameplay element, like an extended health system, others may see it as punishment. I'd love to see it as part of being an expanded health system, so someone innocent or guilty could be traumatised by witnessing cruel sceneries.
  8. There indeed are other games. If DayZ loses it's flavour, then.. People are only playing what they want to.

@op Admit, you just needed a reason to post your photo. :P
  10. Yep, but one still should hear them though. QFT (sad thing is you can say that a billion times and one...)
  11. So instead of fixing it, you are removing it? That's for sure the best way to handle things. Hope your doc doesn't think the same. Edit: Also what Karmaterror said. Anyway, there are populated 1st person server out there. The Oculus Rift will at least fix the limitations of my monitor. It's just weird and brocken that you stay in the middle of an open field and can't see shit. Really. This always breaks it, I'd go mad with that 1st person view only. And frankly, how are you not recogniseing it? Hey, totaly immersion, lets look through that shoe carton.
  12. As said, first person view feels limited and trapped. Especially if I'm in the middle of nowhere in the game, I have to "escape" that opressive limitedness. Sorry, if I cant describe it better, but that's how broken 1st person view for me is. It also has it's roleplayelements. I want to see my character doing survival stuff. And I don't know where my ingame body exactly is. Can't tell if the feed are in or outside that bush.
  13. When 1st person is fixed so that it looks equally appealing and if it no longer does feel clunky, more people will join 1st person server by free will. Simple. Oh and if 1st person is fixed and the Ocolus Rift is out, then you'll finally get your happy end, I hope.
  14. Absolutely. That thing not only works in one direction. Maybe they now are upset because they can't longer loot on 3rd person server?
  15. Yeah, and more ways to hoard items. I'm for separated hives for each difficulty. So you try to remove that other difficulties... Are you aware that as a result, the only remaining difficulty might be eased down a lot?
  16. Sigh, now it starts all over again.
  17. Nope, it's like we have already two movies but that one movie is so unpopular that it tries to ban the other. And please, if you would be so kind: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/157661-third-person-view-removal-from-sa-discussion/?p=1633609
  18. I appreciate that you apparently came to the conclusion that forcing someone against their will is not going to work well, especially if you are in the minority. One thing I hope you are explaining me is, what's so important in uniteing the hives? As far as I understood, forced first person view is part of the difficulty concept the game has. Why would it be helpfull to unite the hives? Wouldn't it encourage farming on easier difficulties? Wouldn't it help your highest-ace-difficulty to seperate the hives? We already had the situation in the mod that "hardcore player" in fact were playing on veteran server (3rd person enabled). --> Looting on lower difficulties --> basebuilding on higher difficulty ==> saver loot Why should they get away with it?
  19. Supposely they design it a bit like it was in the mod. And maybe to add to your suggestion, it would be cool if the player is able to sleep in beds of the interiors. This would give interiors more purpose ans they would feel more useful besides of loot locations. Making it more like a hideout. One could house in an flat somewhere away, maybe sleeping and a bit cooking there. Don't lough, such things enhance immersion.

How about a change in Day/nigth cycle ?

Dont change it or you'll break the whole simulation approach. There are/will be plenty server with different times out there to chose from.
  21. I think something like useful resting is eventually going to be implemented. One probably needs a tent for. Then it may provide a well rested charakter for a certain amount of time. I doupt that it is going to be real time as it would be a rather boring game play element. Besides of that, nice idea.
  22. Maybe they did, sure I'd find a post of yours if I wanted to. But this isn't the point: Whatever you think you are, if you prefere a certain view, go play it. Instead hanging around 3rd person server the whole day doesn't make you ... whatever. Get it through? But: If you prefere 1st person only, you absolutely should play it. Because playing on 3rd person server makes you dissatisfied. And subsequently you complain.

Suggestion to get more night time play

Night time is different from daytime and I love it. I don't see it as problem that not everyone likes it too. I also don't have a problem with other folks prefering daytime. It makes it very realistic, that the server is not crowded with the usual DayZ population at night. It's nice and awesome the way it is. Please don't try to force the community to play at every time. And for the love of god don't speed up the time, like having 4 days in one. This is something that also makes Dayz so outstanding, that they really use real time.

    20 Plus Million Dollars Later...

45% usually are spent for hookers, 20% in alcohol, the rest doesn't naturaly transist into gameplay.
  25. Once the Oculus Rift is released there will be much more folks playing on 1st person server, provided it is being supported and the game is looking fancy. The meantime being you should try to practice what you preach, tommes. Yeah, alone is a bit odd, but give it a vent. Can't be that hard. Where are your fellas then you need them?
