  1. I can live with that...maybe a slight illumination to compensate for the existence of stars...the moon, etc. But I don't see that as utterly unplayable as some have stated.
  2. It's an existing Arma dynamic, reading from others who appear knowledge regarding that facet of gameplay. Day Z isn't, truly, responsible for it...
  3. We should set up looting zones with achievements and level up that gives you ammo! And some lights that come out your eyes but that the zeds can't see, and... Sorry. Went a bit anti sandbox there...
  4. I love playing at night. I live for that first ray of sunlight creeping over the horizon... Makes me feel cathartic.
  5. But that evolves naturally through the very dynamic of a sandbox. It doesn't need a structure. Otherwise it avoids the point.
  6. Apparently it killed grammar in the process...
  7. I would think anyone espousing those comments you highlighted in the latter part of your thread would be being unfair. Suffice to say, this patch is exponentially harder than previous versions and many of the core fans are pleased to see zeds becoming the main threat again, as intended. Nobody should suggest you are a pussy. But you must understand that equilibrium will only be achieved in this mod through testing, scrutiny and dialogue...which is exactly what you've brought. But it must be a two way street.
  8. Zombies shouldn't spawn anywhere near you. That was a fix. That's odd.

    Hardcore fanboys Vs General gamers

Wow. Hardcore gamers are fat losers? I thought that myth was dispelled about a decade ago? Obviously not. Not that I'm hardcore, you understand. But I think the rash conclusion you have come to is rather narrow minded and short sighted. Why should the core fan base have to adapt to the wishes of those who steal in on a project after months of input?

    WTF agro bat man

Stop farting. That's my advice. Professionally speaking.
  11. I was honoured to meet up with these guys last night. Loving it!

    Hardcore fanboys Vs General gamers

Both sides are prone to outbursts. We fanboys are vehemently protective of Day Z. We have no real right to be, but that's how it goes. New members, by equal measure, can seem all too...conascending when critiquing the game, seeming to forget that many have been around in a gradual process that needs time and nurturing. Both sides are as guilty as the other.

    Soo.. whats up with this..

They're "infected" with an as yet undisclosed disease, virus, parasite... Think 28 days.
  14. Absolutely second that and know where you are coming from. I love the little nuances in the game when you almost forget you're playing it. You fidget whilst sat watching the sun set over a towering mountain of pines whilst a campfire crackles in the background. Your team mates busy themselves with arming up and some are prepping vehicles. You suddenly snap out and realise you actually considered this a "lovely evening" and actually felt a swell of happiness. Immersion doesn't even come close as a description.

We're testing a mod. It's gonna be glitchy.
  17. Stay prone; stay safe.
  18. Sorts the men from the toddlers...?
  19. Does this also not make the flashlight essential? This, why it's given?
  20. Sandy vagina. Sounds like a 70's pop star. Big down south.
  21. I didn't like the movement of the hoppers before...it terrified me. Now it sounds positively arse clenching.
