Good job painting a target on your back.

Not at this current time, not ingame at least. Although rumour has it that the developers are looking to enhance that facet of the experience sooner rather than later. There are 3rd party systems, such as Steam, TeamSpeak and the like that enhance that side of things. Like I say though, plans are allegedly in the pipeline.

It is well worth the investment. The potential of this mod is remarkable and, if focus upon the community remains, it could be immeasurably successful. It is still rough around the edges, but at its core this game is rip roaringly fun, addictive and immersive. You can, and will, lose yourself in this world on several occasions. And I'd welcome your company in the world as well.

I'm not sure I agree. Although the casual gamer should never be discounted, this is too raw and pure a conception to muddy the waters with appeasement for the masses.

Where does everyone hang out at?
esaciar replied to Brohemoth's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I mainly hang around on the outskirts of built up towns, usually in a dense tree line, until dusk. I will raid towns as quickly as possible, making sure to avoid zeds and other players, before stealing out into the forest again before sunlight evaporates. I'll occasionally get deep enough to set a campfire and take the weight off before quitting the server and bedding down in real life. -
Revenge, how sweet a dish you are.

New section added to the forums for divorced husbands?

I've tried to convince my wife that, come the impending apocalypse, this will surely come up trumps! -

Oh lord, no. At least PM me!!

Excellent idea. Attract attention to yourself in a world that wishes to kill you.

Tell me your exact coordinates...I'll come and help. I promise. Ahem.

Has there been any word on there being more to do?
esaciar replied to Slyguy65's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
People have even suggested power plant occupations, food halls being established, etc. The permutations of this are open ended and boundless of people should choose to use their imagination. -
Chernarus is becoming stale. New map?

New section added to the forums for divorced husbands?
esaciar replied to aphex187's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
My wife is thus far amiable to my obsession. She has her ironing to look forward to. So it's swings and roundabouts. -
Incentives to Cooperative Play
esaciar replied to ZedsDeadBaby's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
@ ZedsDeadBaby Excellent post. I, admittedly, am one of these "whiners" who feels we need a more structured system, but your eloquent post has really emphasised some facets of gameplay I had failed to consider thus far. I would, however, like to see an ability to establish entrenched communities more readily in the game map. Thanks for incredible post. -
I am an avid "Total War" gamer. On our forums, we have an After Action Report thread section where we can write novels, diaries, letters and the likes of our exploits from a first or third person perspective, usually in role. I contribute enthusiastically there and I am adamant such a format would work tremendously in our community here. Journal entries, interior monologues, stories, videos, letters, graphic novels - I firmly believe every narrative medium could thrive in these forums should we establish a dedicated thread. It's merely a suggestion, but it's something I feel passionately about and would like to garner board support and feedback. Cheers. I imagine something akin to Cormac Murphy's "The Road"

A dedicated "Fan Fiction" section?
esaciar replied to esaciar's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I think people are mistaking my suggestion. I want quality storytelling with deep, enriched writing and an emphasis on the intensity if setting and character. Not teen rags. -
This is the MOST antisocial game ever
esaciar replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
No opposing teams. It would murder this game straight off. -
A dedicated "Fan Fiction" section?

Excellent. Thanks for that witty rebuke. Appreciated. -
A dedicated "Fan Fiction" section?
esaciar replied to esaciar's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Excellent response and very positive, thank you. Is it a case of proposing a section more officially to moderators/devs? -
Day Z - provides personal psychological analysis for the masses. Verdict - we're all homicidal liars with acute paranoia.
