I've been playing arma since the first game. A picture of a radio does not prove any of this is real and that mp3 is not proof either.

clevelandtyler2 you have not installed dayz correctly. You should have the dayz files in the addons folder of your @dayz folder. The correct file path should look like this "arma 2 operation arrowhead\@dayz\Addons". -
Character profiles don't do anything

Making a new profile will not make a new character on the server. The game goes by CD key so if you make a new profile it will be the same character. The only way to make a new character would be to buy Arma on a new steam account. -
Unfortunately this is most likely fake. If you check http://picacid.com/arma2/loot_en.html there is no radio for the military soldiers to drop. I've also looked through the game files and have seen nothing about a radio in them. Until you post a video of this radio, I will not believe this is real.

Rocket gave a few people from a stream a british soldier skin. It could possibly be them.

The takistan map has more enterable buildings I believe. The problem with that map is the amount of barracks and amount of military loot you could get. -

Finding friends on the same server

You cannot make a squad or spawn near your friends(unless you guys get lucky and spawn at the same location). You can use an image of the map to find each other. -

Does it work with other programs like skype, ventrilo, teamspeak, etc? -
I don't think the server would kick you for that because it gives me that message too. Make sure you have the dayz addon in the correct place and have Arma 2 + Operation Arrowhead.

Have you tried pressing escape then hitting respawn? Also this is a known problem with multiple threads in the bug reports forum. I would try looking through those threads if you can't find a solution.

Try restarting your game. You should post in the bug reports or troubleshooting forum next time.

It's an alpha. This isn't one of your typical "Betas" you pay to play before a games release that you are used to playing. It's going to be filled with bugs, exploits, etc. You really can't get too attached to items, vehicles, characters because most likely you will lose them. -
Some servers have had problems with saving recently. You could try emailing [email protected] and see if they can restore your character for you.
