As the problem is more with reducing the people just jumping onto low pop servers to loot farm could they not just implement a % of players figure and anything under 50% full only shows up as 50%

A game dev only role is to make a game that people will play the more people playing and for longer the better they have done their job do you really think they will ever implement a feature that forces players not to play? NO so stop asking for it. On top of this it’s a bad feature -That will do nothing to promote player interactions. And only seek to increase the rampant KOS why would you rob someone when you can shoot them and have them locked out for any amount of time allowing you to loot in even more safety. -Servers would become empty and never build a core following and a lot would probably close down what’s the point of hanging out on a server if when you die your out of there could you imagine what would happen when you kill an admin and he gets locked from his own server. -What happens when the game is no longer popular and there is not 1000’s of servers to pick from. -hacker would have a field day knowing everyone they kill is gone worst case they could almost hold admins to ransom “do what we say or we empty your server” -
Any game that stops players from playing will inevitably fail. Want to reduce people looting their own body - Get rid of the wake up on beach story and Spread the starting spawn throughout the map - Add an item degradation timer on dead bodies eg: after 30 minutes items start to rapidly degrade - Place a timer that locks a player to a spawn location eg: die within X time to NPC/your own fault you spawn back at the same spot. This could possibly have a limit 3-5 deaths before you get cycled if you die because of another player you get cycled.

Would be a good idea personally I think backpacks need to be smaller 25 slots max so allowing a number of different shape backpacks means you can have more variety of the same size pack. It would also be nice to see backpack slots broken up into pockets and not one big pool Eg: the Hunter back pack would have a 4x3 slot main area with a 2x2 pocket on the front and two 1x2 on the sides

I don’t have a problem with a log out and log in timer but having said timer leaving me open for attach with no way of countering is a bit much. As noted above a 30 second timer needs to start when you make your player sit once this timer has ended you can log out and your body disappears. one quick question what happens to your body if you log on to a sever before the 30 second timer has runs out? -
How long till i can hunt these little suckers and have the sweet taste of flesh in my mouth once again?

As had been mentioned above way to much food For me the new UI system looks good loving the new inventory layout but I can seem to right click and select drop any more. With the lack of large bags around would be good to keep the 2 primary bug and fix it so it does not eat your hatchet. Not really a fan of the new S-tac jump (using it in the open looks a bit strange) would be nice if you could still combat roll if you have no backpack One thing that got me was I Put on a Ghillie suit yesterday and it broke my legs

Nar that’s easy mode there is something about having to reload after each shot or picking off that lone zombie with the crossbow that just gives it such a badass feel or maybe it’s because everyone really wants to become more like Daryl -
So there is a few female skins like Rita Ensler, Damsel, Sportswoman, EuroWoman2 Can’t they just make gender specific packs of clothing? Think about it you run in to a house see a brown paper bag get your hopes up on camouflage clothing go to check it only to realise its women’s clothing and you can’t use it. Since ghillies are not much more than a moving bush why not let both male/female use them. The least they could do random generate the starting female model so you get a little variety.

Why not have a timer (say 15minutes) and if you die of natural causes (zombies, infection, etc) or you suicide in that time you spawn in the same place.

Hahaha reminds me of my first flight. I was walking around up north looking for camps (as you do) when I stumbled across a mini bird having never flown before and being told there is a flight training in AMRM II I was like no worries quick training then I’ll be good to go. So off I log and fire up normal ARMA only to find there is only one chopper available (might have went to the wrong training) some large slow moving civ chopper. Anyway come hell or high water I was going to learn to fly and figured there cant be much difference in choppers (thanks bf3) so I jump in this chopper take off after a successful take off (thanks auto hover) and a few not so successful landings I was able to cruse around in this beast for a good 15 min. Thinking I was some sort of top gun decided it was time how hard could the mini bird be so I logged back in to Dayz approached the mini bird and fired it up. Takeoff was all good (thanks again auto hover) I was in good spirits disabled auto hover and that’s were it all went wrong I nudged the joystick forward just the slightest and watched in horror as the mini bird I was in flipped nozed dive and planted into the ground all in the matter of seconds. Have never seen a chopper since that day and have never been back to training. Fun fact I’m due to fly one IRL come Monday

0-10 is probably a better number with a high chance of the drum being empty something like 0 cans- 25%, 1-15%, 2-15%, 3,-10% 4-8%, 5-8%, 6-7%, 7-5%, 8-3%, 9-2% and 10-2%.

If there are classes I would much rather classes were a random thing sort of a special spawn Some classes might be The Mechanic Starting item - toolbox Skill – full vehicle repair (all others can only reach yellow) Medic Starting item - watch Skill – faster medical application (both self and others) Hunter Starting item – knife Skill – one additional meat from animals Army Private Starting item – compass, map Skill – longer sprint Through actions players learn the skill of other classes Repair – fix X amount of vehicles (10 wheels, 2 engine blocks, 5 scrap, 1 main rotor assembly) Medical application – perform X amount of medical acts ( 20 bandage, 15 blood bags, 5 epi pen 5 morphine). Additional meat – gut x number of animals (2 rabbits, 1 chicken, 3 goats, 3 pigs, 2 cows) Longer sprint – run x distance (run 30km)

Thought the 12 hours was the time your body would stay on the server (bit like when you combat log with the timer) although the 12 hours is a bit long maybe 2 hours would be better before you did a full log off allowing you to regain 2400 health per sleep cycle. So how will this work in game -You pitch a tent -You scroll wheel over tent and select sleep -you are now in the tent sleeping at this point you can log off or sit and watch your character sleep what ever floats your boat - During the sleeping you will slowly regain blood (use above amount 20 per/min) - If two hours pass and you have logged off (and did not log back in on that server or another) your body disappears (your safe) but you no longer gain blood if you did not log off you will continue to gain blood. -sleep stops next time you log in regardless if the 2 hours is up your body will just disappear. So when sleeping Your screen turns black (yeah no peeping you are sleeping) Your sound gets turned down (or maybe even off) You can be killed You regain health

On a tent is probably a bad idea a metal box is better (make the box small with limit space) but with locks should come the ability to pick locks. 2 types of lock boxes Key lock – once locked the original owner is give a key (loot able) if you don’t have a key the lock can be picked requires a lock pick kit once you have picked a lock you get a auto pick on that lock (just to speed thing up) of that life only Number lock – no key remember the number if someone guess the number they can then reset it and pick a new number (locking you out) Both boxes are small and have less capacity then a tent

Like many others crafting weapon optics and full blown silencers is a bit much would like weapon attachments found separately and be attachable/detachable maybe a few low chance spawns of weapons already having these attachments (that can not be detached) as for crafting a few smaller things like Wood + tin can + knife = 2 wood arrows, wood arrows do less damaged then metal arrows, have a high chance of breaking, decreased accuracy Empty bottle + tape + toilet paper+ knife = silencer, decreases weapon accuracy, becomes ineffective after a few shots Tin can + string + wood + grenade (explosive/smoke/flare) + knife = trip wire booby trap Wood + bear trap + knife + entrenching tool = hidden bear trap, can only be placed on dirt areas Bat + wire + knife = Barbed wire bat increases bat damage (normal bat might do 2500 Barbed wire bat might do 3500) Wood + matches = open fire, quick easy gives off a large amount of light (large zombie pull area while burning (bit like a road flare) but can fail to light because of wind and rain Wood + rocks/scrap metal + matches = closed fire, gives off a small amount of light (smaller zombie pull area) depending on rock or scrap metal no longer fails to light because of wind or rain Wood + rocks + scrap metal + matches = covered fire place gives off no light no failure chance because of weather 3 x barbed wire = impassable wire 3 runs of wire stacked up on each other like the wire around Balota military base 4 Pipes + camouflage netting and/or tarp + rope + hatchet = covered area, if you have a tarp its water proof under the structure else it only helps to hide 5 Wood slats (different to the wood pile) + string + knife = simple wood bow, very poor accuracy and damage regardless of the arrow used and poor durability 2 wood slats + string + tin can + knife = fishing rod and lure, high chance of breaking the string/rod (make a whole mini game for fishing something like back in Zelda) At the end of the day the last thing I really want is dayz to turn into is fallout where I’m constructing a nuka cola grenade launcher or something that really does not make sense

Dayz Normal Flash Lights and Military Lights

A small bug for the flashlight (not sure if it still works), if you have a military flashlight turn it on then switch to a primary weapon with a flash light (Remington/m4 CCO) you should now have a red light on your primary so long as you don’t turn it off -
Don't even make third-person an option for DayZ standalone

I like 3rd person because it gives a good sense of self awareness and it’s a lot better for those long runs through the wilderness. Why not just make it so player/zombie/item models don’t render unless in LOS so if you want to see around a corner in 3rd person you still need to peak. -

I personally don’t have a problem with OHK weapons but I do have a problem with I win buttons and that’s all the AS50 is (with gamma can even use them at night) What I would like to see - Harder sniping mechanics (add wind etc) - add the KSVK and lapua - remove the AS50 - make it so the M107 removes your backpack - remove the side guns in the chopper -
Could be wrong but do you mean 10 east and 7 north (barn at 103,079) Polana is at 106,073. The position you gave and described would put you just north of Chernogorsk just south of mogilevka. As my old geology/surveying teacher would say you have to go towards the mountain (east) before you go up (north)
