It really depends if you are maxing disk write thoughput or not. That said, I always record video to a seperate drive. The write speed of USB2 drives will probably be too slow to record with so if your computer doesn't have a USB3 or ESATA interface, you will probably be worse off then writting to your native disk inside your computer.

Check out Dxtory. Much less of a performace hit VS fraps.

Hi folks here is the deal. I've been playing in larger groups over the past few months but now I want to change things up a bit. I'm looking for a few people that would like to roll in a small, tactical group of 3-5 people. We will work as a team to gear up and then patrol the map looking for objectives. I prefer that we do not shoot under geared players on sight unless not doing so would compromise our team. That being said, the squad always comes first. If others get in the way of our objectives or safety, no mercy will be shown. Finally if interested, please have some experience with DayZ. You don't have to be a pro but ability to follow and understand tactical movement is preferred. Currently I play 3 or 4 nights a week, 6PM onward EST. DMRs, m24s and both 50 cals can indeed be found at heli crashes.

If you have full access to your server you can write a script to perform a log dump. Then you can create a task to run it every "x" hours to keep the logs a more manageble size.

I have over 20 various rifles and handguns ranging from small rimfires, mid caliber assult rifles up to an 8mm hunting rifle. Not sure if you can get Rugar's down under but if you can check out the 10-22. It is a truely amzing .22, very customizable and accurate. I'd also suggest looking at a .17HMR for small game. It is a super amazing rifle. This made me laugh out loud, thanks for that. Just goes to show you home much infulence the ignorant have on public.

Being a firearm enthusiast in real life, I often cring when reading some of the storys on these boards. "I only had 2 clips left for my AK", "The firehouse only had tin cans and 1 clip for my pistol"... So for my sanity and to hopfully educate some people that may actually care what the hell they are talking about, here is a quick primer on clips vs mags. A magazine is used to feed a weapon itself whereas a clip is used to feed a magazine. Clips do make loading of magazines easier and faster. There are even cases that a clip is required in order for a magazine to work (hello M1 Garand). Some magazines are removable, some are a fixed magazine. Thank you for reading. I think it is fine the way it is TBH. If they make food/water last longer then they sould bring back food/water degrading even when you are logged out. Plus everything in the game cannot be 100% realistic. It goes along with the fact that I can run at superstar olymipic sprinter speeds continously with 100lbs of gear on my back.
