Once again, I must take a previous point in order to make some sense come here. 1. Infected/zombies feel no pain however being knocked unconscious has no pain towards it, take a direct blow to the head for example, it would cause blacking out. 2. I don't see the point of having Infected spawning unconscious but more or less I find it that you have to do it yourself, Like knock them over and pelt a bottle into the head of the living thing, (You know what I'm Implying here Norris. "F*cking sh*t!", C*nt, C*nt, C*nt, C*nt!) ) 3. In support of this idea, however I'm still trying to understand the concept, I find it partly difficult.

1. Don't watch if you want to spoil your GTA V experience. 2. Skip to 3:07 3. Discliamer: I tried looking everywhere for the part without that specific "scene". 4. Johnny! Why?! This video just makes me think instead of just actual full on fist fighting if we could just improvise fighting with objects like beer bottles to stun so then we can finish things off by doing more powerful attacks then the logic of killing a zombie crudely would be possible. I'm thinking, you don't necessarily have to kill a zombie with your fists, I was thinking more of using stomping as a kill method instead, thus posting a picture with a guy with a boot on his face, I'm sure people are saying zombies aren't going to feel pain yes but stunning someone can be different to hurting someone, you knock someone unconscious then they ain't going to get up straight away. In fact it takes time, Time is all you need in a "Zombie" Apocalypse if you want to quickly escape. If I was in a real zombie apocalypse I wouldn't try to get into fights with the zombies, more or less I would try to escape, sort of like your DayZ Bambi that runs like a chicken with his/her head cut off. Basically long story short and to cover all my points. 1. You can't kill a zombie by stomping him however you can knock them out if lucky, using something like a glass bottle or proper melee weapon like a baseball bat will certainly increase the chance of knockout, if not death. 2. If you knock down or K.O a zombie you can stomp his face. 3. No more points sai.

Hell, trying necrophilia in-game should kill you instantly, it's wrong.

These are the "Infected" not zombies, clearly the Infected are sick humans, yes they will feel pain, and It Irritates me to think that they don't however your point does prove vital. My Idea is that after fighting with your fists your character over time can throw harder punches, Not punches that can kill but punches like King-Hits (One hit punches that causes knock outs) that can do some severe damage, like incapacitate or comas. I'm not saying that we can kill zombies via beating the living fuck out of them but I'm saying that players can use it so that they can defend themselves if all else turns to fuck. One question though, what if there was one zombie and 3 people, if they knocked it down and started to stop the fuck out of it, that would clearly result in death no? Also what about when you punch someone, it knocks them back right? Well what if in this game system we could implement more of an improvise fight system, like smashing heads into brick walls? Hitting the back of heads onto counter tops? stabbing somebody with a shard of glass? You tell me.

I really hate this zombe chain knock out and they do so much damage
LancerG2 replied to TheWizard14's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Deal with it. Serves better than the story of "OH a idiot came with a m4 and shot me". Zombie kills are what we want. Not stupid pvp kills. boring as hell. -
Go back to normal zombie damage but zombies should be able to attack while moving, while chasing maybe they should pounce on the player.

So this is just a general discussion topic on what is a better Camouflage rifle. The semi-automatic Russian SVD Dragunov or the Bolt-action American M40A3. This thread is sniper based so anybody who prefers an assault rifle, Shotgun, Handgun, Crossbow, (Sub) Machine gun or any other weapon would not really pay interest to this topic. This topic is entirely opinion/statistic based. You may enter comments but its highly recommended that you do the poll. In my personal opinion I would prefer the Either but if I had a choice I would stick to the SVD because of it's inbuilt range finder. And I have fetish for Russian weapons Also you must have used the weapon to make the vote count. You can't say "I like the SVD although I have only ever used the M40A3".

This is my weapon topic. As you can tell you're in for a hell of a TL:DR. I've put all my weapon idea's here to save me on the post count going higher and to also keep things neat and copact. If you feel a weapon should be suggested please message me (Ask wether you also wanted to be credited). The Serbu Super Shorty We lack the firearms of the shotgun variety. People also want sawn off shotguns. The problem is with most sawn-offs there is a two round capacity that puts most users off. Also being tedious to reload those two barrels is something a pump/semi auto user dispises. Fortunately we have an alternative... The Super Shorty is a compact, stockless, pump action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge (2¾ and 3") Made by Serbu. Most production models are based on the Mossberg Maverick 88shotgun, though some are made from Mossberg 500 and Remmington 870 recivers. The shotgun features a spring-loaded, folding Foregrip. Basically this shotgun is a pump action. Being different from the rest of its type it serves not only as the same size as a sawn off but has the pump action ability you would find on your typical shotgun. Unlike your sawn-off this gun is capable of holding Three shots compared to your average two in a double barreled sawn off. The gun halsopump action feature just like the remmington 870 meaning you can control your shots. The gun as mentioned also fires the 12 gauge round just like your remmington 870 so if ever you need to do an ammo conversion then it would be While the shotguns short length makes pumping it quicker the gun suffers from one thing. A lack of iron sights. I'm not implying you cannot aim but it would be harder without a guide. However the guns compactness and its pumping speed makes it great for quick moving or breaching and room clearing and riot control. Unlike your harder to find shotgun varients this shotgun is more common to find compared to your M1014's or Remmington 870's. Pros: - Holds 3 shots. A step up from a traditional sawn off which only holds two. - Quicker pumping compared to a full sized pump action, (Faster firing rate). - More compact. Takes less backpack space and allows player to move quicker. - Slightly higher damage. - Slightly more common to find as it is a civilian shotgun. Cons: - Unique iron sights. - Shorter range. - Chews though ammo. The Steyr AUG Now most DayZ player seem to use these two weapon types the most. Sniper Rifles and Assault rifles. The one that seems to get by the most and is seem mostly at times are Assault rifles, now we are all familiar with the L85A2. A bullpup rifle. So why don't we chuck in another bullpup. The steyr AUG. The Steyr AUG is an 5.56mm NATO gas operated, rotating bolt assault rifle. Originally made to replace the FN FAL for the Austrian Army, and was developed by the Austrian Steyr-Daimler-Puch company (now the Steyr-Mannlicher AG & Co KG) and production began in 1978. Since then, the AUG gained serious popularity, being adopted by the armed forces of Australia, Austria, New Zealand, Oman, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Ireland and some others. It also was widely purchased by various security and law enforcement agencies worldwide, including the US Coastal Guard. The Steyr AUG can be considered as the most commercially successful bullpup assault rifle to date. Basically it is your average assault rifle that comes with a default scope. The gun is a bullpup so it's mostly more compact and like the serbu means faster movement. The gun would be expected to be harder to find considering its a millitary weapon. Likewise the 30 round magazine would be hard to find as well. The gun woudn't have zeroing and it can be changed from Semi/Auto firing mode. Pros: - Accurate and deadly. - 30 Round magazine. - Free scope! - Relatively average damage. Cons: - Rare to find. - Ammo is rare. - I'm not to sure on anything else. Orion Flare Gun A flare gun is a firearm that launches flares. It is typically used for signalling, as distress signaling, for people at sea or from the ground to aircraft. It is not designed to function as a weapon. However in rare cases can be used as a weapon. The weapon if shot in the air will fly several meters above. The flare would be a red one that would fizzle out on its way down. Flare guns would be found in deer stands, Inventories of boats and millitary camps. If you are to shoot a person with a flare gun (Highly inaccurate) you would set them on fire doing some damage to them. Being a single shot weapon it would take time to reload between shots. Pros: - Great for signaling your buddies when you are in need of help - Can be used as a weapon. - Can be found uncommonly. Cons: - Could attract Bandits. - Is inaccurate. - Ment to be shot in the air. - Single shot. Takes time between shots. So in conclusion this is a topic I suggested for some weapons. I may add more weapons to this instead of making new topics every time, I may also merg my other three weapon topics. The UZI I would just like to thank Goos for helping me with a current mental block I had when writing this yesterday. So now I've picked up the keyboard and started again. Introduction/briefing So this suggestion is to add the IMI Uzi. We have the PDW, The Mini Uzi, And quite frankly it's classified as a machine pistol (Unlike the first Uzi In the series being a SMG) but not only that. It's terrible and it brings a discrace to the Uzi Itself, and the game is pretty short on Sub-Machine guns, We only have an MP5 (Including the supressed varient) and the PP-19 Bizon, So a spare SMG wouldn't be bad. Being designed in Israel by Major Uziel Gal the Uzi is a blowback open-bolt Sub Machine gun and was Developed in the 1950's, the Uzi has been exported to over 90 countries (Including Europe so I don't see how Cherno can't be counted). The Uzi has a firing rate of 600 Rpm and has an effective range of 200m (Can go to 600m), The original uses the 9x19mm parabellum cartridge and in the standard magazine it holds 32 bullets and it contains a folding stock. The Gun has been used in plenty of wars like Vietnam, etc and is still used today by some police and millitary forces. Gamewise. Ingame the Uzi would be uncommon considering it was used in a few wars around Europe (Some where summgled into bosnia) and would mostly be found in cities (Dark gloomy alleyways) or millitary locations. The gun would do moderate damage and would be a good middle tier gun. Holding 32 rounds in the Uzi magazine it would be more than enough to get you going. The Uzi has a good range around 200m but can go to 600m. Being a Smg like the mp5 it does 889 blood per hit making it average like all the sub-machine guns. The Uzi is a slightly noisy SMG like the MP5. Having a low/moderate sound. Also another Idea is like the MP5 add a suppressed version. The suppressed version is the same but doesn't make as much noise as the normal gun itself. In conclusion the Uzi could be a possibillity to be added in DayZ. The gun itself would have a high fire rate and ammunition would be really easy to find. This gun would useful in close/medium quarter combat and would be provided efficent for somebody carrying light. Pros: - Fast firing rate. - Not a hard Millitary weapon to find, could be found in those crime filled alleys in the cities. - 32 Round magazine - Ammunition is good enough to come by, shareable with PDW magazines. - Low/moderate sound. Cons: - Unlike the PDW this weapon takes a primary slot. - Strange Iron sights. - May run out of ammuntion quickly. - Load as an MP5. S&W 500 The revolver that we have in DayZ is nothing but weak. Seriously. I suggest one of the most powerful revolvers ever. The S&W 500. The Smith & Wesson Model 500 is a five-shot, Single action/Double action large caliber revolver produced by Smith and Wesson , firing the .500 Magnum cartridge, a .50 caliber bullet. Made in 2003 this weapon isn't in millitary hands but still is in production and is made for civilian usage. Introduction and Information What makes this revolver different should be It's ultra powerful damage, Slower rate of fire and 5 shots. 1 bullet doesn't make a difference as damage compensates for ammo capacity. This weapon can fire the .50 Cal Bullet and cannot be converted into anything else. However with such a handgun it's very uncommon and only a master can handle the true challage of owning this gun. While most of the Czech Republic perfer the Makarov this gun should be very uncommon. Not rare, But uncommon. This applies to the ammunition too. What makes this weapon different to the ingame revolver is that it's large and fires a bigger round. So Damage should be increased 10000 blood so you need adleast 2 shots to kill. And of you shoot somebody in the leg? Well, They will be begging for morphine. Thus beating the old six shooter's damage of 1389 blood (Pussies gun is weak). This gun would take down a hero with a bulletproof vest easy and it will punch through the vest's kevlar. This will also be anti-car so you have no problems with cars. Or with the original idea of taking 5 shots to kill at 5000 damage per shot the bleeding would be tremdous. Were talking huge holes here. So it's either one way or the other way. When firing the .500 It will be a single action thus compensating for the break between shots. I would rather have a delay than going apeshit with the revolver and missing with your target completly after the first shot. On hip firing the animation will show a quick jolt of recoil. Aiming down the sights will control the recoil. You cannot fan with this revolver unlike the older revolver (You wouldn't want to). The normal revolver will be single action. Upon hip firing the revolver plays the Fanning animation. This is when you get your hand and while pointing the revolver at your target lower your other hand basically puts force on the hammer. So the old revolver can be fired faster if you don't aim. The verdict and conclusion. Upsides with the S&W .500 - High Damage - Double action - Kills in 2 shots. - Can break legs if shot directly in bone - Ooh! Shiney! - Garanteed head explosion if aimed at head! Downsides with the S&W .500 - BOOM! I think I'm deaf guys. :c - Heavy recoil - Sort of rare with the gun and ammunition - Muzzle flare is really easy to spot at nighttime - 5 shots in the chamber? Aww. Overall the S&W 500 is one BIG revolver. This gun has -1 less round but damage compensates for the loss of a bullet, this revolver is also very loud and it kicks like a mule and it's rarity makes it a sought after handgun. Wether you need a gun for interrogation, a backup gun for a sniper, solving problems or just looking cool this gun is the perfect sidearm for a revolver fan. CZ75 Automatic Hey everybody, New to the forums here but I'm literally obsessed with Day Z anyway I just found a little quote somewhere saying this: "Chernarus is a 225 km2 open world, devastated by an unknown infection that has wiped out most of its population, turning some of them into mindless zombies. That is where DayZ takes place. It's a fictional creation based on areas of the Czech Republic, where ArmA developer Bohemia Interactive is located.*" So if Day Z is based in the Czech Republic, Russia, Serbia etc. Why don't we add a handgun that comes from the Czech Republic and compensates for its low damage for a very high fire rate, Thats right. This is an automatic pistol. The CZ75. The weapon uses the 9x19mm Parabellum cartliage and the Automatic varient uses the average 15 round magazine. This pistol was made in 1975 and it isn't considered obsolete and would be used by millitary forces today. There are a few varient of this handguns. But the varient I am focusing on is the Automatic varient. The semi-automatic varient would be a pointless aspect to add to the game because we have plently of semi-auto pistols and the only automatic weapon that fits into the pistol catergory is the PDW (Micro Uzi) and thats rare. In gameplay this weapon should roughtly do about 899 blood. However the pistol should be weaker than the M9 and stronger than the Makarov. So to eliminate a human player it would take 5 shots. A zombie may take even less (I lack knowlage of the comparison of zombies and humans in Day Z), also considering the CZ75 is a millitary weapon it should be rare - uncommon. The CZ75 automatic speaks for itself. Having a high firerate the rate of fire would be very fast. However recoil would be moderate. Also the weapon is automatic and has a very distinctive noise to it making it loud to roughly 250 metres. Overall this would suit the game for one of the pistols (second to the PDW) that any hero, bandit, average player would like. The low damage is compensated for high rate of fire and the cartliage the weapon uses makes sure that even if you spray and pray this weapon would be very versitile and useful against enemies. Finally a video on this awsome gun. The Armsel Striker Now a very unique shotgun gets implemented into DayZ. Not the SPAS - 12, Or the AA-12, but a very unique shotgun, one that functions like a revolver. The mighty Armsel Striker! (I honestly couldn't find many videos but I had to compensate with these "Gun Pr0n videos".) The Armsel Striker was created in Rhodesia (South Africa) by Hilton Walker in 1983. Walker moved to South Africa, bringing with him the design for the Striker shotgun. His shotgun became a success, and was exported to various parts of the world. Even though it was successful, the shotgun still had its flaws. The rotary cylinder-type magazine was bulky, had a slow reload time, and the basic action was not without certain flaws. The gun fires in a Semi-Automatic action and holds 12 gauge rounds in it's 12 drum capacity. - Wikipedia. Basically the gun would be a rare spawn in DayZ. The gun would do a fair bit of damage considering it's a shotgun and It can use other shotgun ammo but it has it's unique 12 round magazine. Upsides: - High ammo capacity - High damage - Reduced recoil due to slower firing rate compared to the M1014 - More compact compared to M1040 shotgun (Great for Indoors) Flaws: - Sluggish reload - Rare - Slightly Slower firing rate EDIT MK1: Merged my other 4 weapon topics.

GET OUT OF HERE STALKER! YOUR OPINION ISN'T NEEDED. :P

Hey the UZI was shipped to Russia during the Balkans, yugoslavia during the war and as for the CZ75 it's from the checz replublic where DayZ is based. So what more could you want?
-
Fuck no. I hate the G36.

Fair enough. If this gets implamented on the standalone this will backfire against you. Either way your welcome. Admitting to stealing the idea shows that some people have the mind capacity and creativity to suggest such things. :P

I would like to say. This guy is a disgrace to all bandits and heros alike. Godspeed for your honorable work.

So my Idea is that we have a few thing to implament feature wise. I got around to playing a source mod called Zombie Panic Source. (Video below) and realised it had some good realism elements to it. One of my main idea's is that the more ammo you carry (and spare weapons) could slow you down. A stamina bar as well as another implamentation feature. Zombies should be able to run as fast as the player and in order for zombies to be a high priority target in the game the player should be able to run and run until he gets tired from running that he starts slowing down. Then he can either kill the zombie before he gets pounced. The stamina bar itself can regrenate slowly but eating food with a high nutrition value (carbo hydrates, fibre) can speed it up again. As long as your in a good healthy condition it regenerates fine. Being wounded/injured can also be another factor. As for the ammunition feature the more ammo you carry (Sidearm ammo, main weapon ammo, grenades) the heavier you get. You walk slower and you run slower and shorter. This could Implament a feature for sharing and swapping gear to other players. This Idea could stop KoS a little if players chose to trade gear like makarov mags for M249 belts. This is why we also have a panic function. Think of this. You're running down an alley in Electro. Not only did you stock up on an AKM and 8 magazines but you're being chased by a decent horde of 7-8, you don't want to shoot in Electro in fear of raising a horde of more zombies so you run. In the end you get really, really tired. So in a quick sucussion you drop everything you have and you get a quick stamina boost and you leg it evading the zombies. Later you go back to find your loot you live another day. Then a sniper on a rooftop with a DMR shoots you. YOU ARE DEAD. Basically when you press a key you go into panic mode. You drop all weapons and your backpack and keep only the clothes on you except for your utility vest. You can move quicker for a short amount of time before you go back to normal speed. After evading whatever sticky situation you got back into you realise you lose everything. This feature would be good and it would make players make a certain choice wether they wanted to risk losing thier stuff or suffer the consequences and die with it. So thats my Idea. Go ahead and feel free to comment. The Zombie panic source survival guide, Incase you wanted to see it.

An Idea I had from ZPS. (Standalone/mod)
LancerG2 replied to LancerG2's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Howso? As in you could run faster here and there? Or taking longer? Because the main concern is that it is really, really quick to get from one side of chenerus to the other. Ever see those DayZ lets play when they are in 3rd person and they just run and run and run? The stamina bar means that once they get tired they have to wait before just can run again. Took you long enough. Hehehehe. -

Could you not be sarcastic? Overall on topic a real good idea. Sometimes seeing people run around with AKM's or M4A1 CCO is a little too common. And seeing people fight over food like crazy rat bastards would be another liked idea for me. My beans to you ya little Irish bugga! *Rustles hair*. -
