    TRAIN

Yeah, I would rather have just a locomotive and a rare wagon scattered along the lines on a loop compared to a whole train waiting for you. Maybe just a single locomotive like this one: http://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/trains/pics07/russia07006.jpg the train would be under a coaling and water station and the train requires a two person team. The train must be driven under the coaling tower (The tender) to refuel for coal while the engine would be driven under a fueling tower. The train (being fully fueled) can run for two hours before needing more coal. The occassional wagon you would find would be a four wheeled flatbed/flatcar/blah blah that had sandbags on it, you can couple this to the front or back of the train and it would be a early dectection as you would have a better view than the drivers of the locomotive.

    SVD Camouflage vs M40A3 Camouflage.

Just found the wiki's stats on the two rifles, so if unsure you can compare them here! SVD: http://dayz.gamepedia.com/SVD_CAMO M40A3: http://dayz.gamepedia.com/M40A3
  3. I really wouldn't mind a FEW bullpups. The styer AUG would be a wonderful gun (Our current Army uses it).

    Change the shotgun ammo!

I'm going to have to agree with this one jews. Also man I think they should improve the ammo in the game, like with the whole when you get a shotgun you get 2 round magazines? I think its best if you had shotgun ammo you should have it like in most FPS shooters where you have a crapton of slugs in your ammo belt and every slug you take gets deducted from your shotgun ammo storage. Overall, You have my beans Goos.
  5. I know this has been suggested a few times but this one was discussed amugst multipile people and they decided that the suggestion on prisons in the suggestions part of the forum didn't really cut the cake compared to this. I (And a few others) had the Idea of a prison being a visitable place on the map (Up north). Being a prison there should only be two ways to get inside. One way would be using explosives to open the big steel gates which would trigger an alarm (Because the prison is guarded by a huge brick wall then rows of razor wire fences). On triggering the alarm the player has five minutes to grab all the loot and get away. The other way is manuver a helicopter to the roof of the prison block/helipad. The breach method. On using the explosive entry an alarm will set off for five minutes. Upon this happening zombies will spawn away from the prison and gradually make their way towards the prison. When the loud alarm is set off the only way to turn it off is by going to the alarm/control tower. This is a time system on how the aggro builds up. The alarm is loud enough for even players to hear it from a for 9 Kilometres. Aggro First minute - Alarm set off, No zombies. In two minutes - First zombies appear in groups for 1-3. In three minutes - Hordes start building up until five minutes. Hordes will be as small as 3-7 After five minutes - A shitton of infected appear and then they constantly keep coming until alarm is turned off. The prison has many sectors inside such as four watch towers, Yard, Barracks, Alarm tower and cell blocks and these items will have item spawns in the prison which this look will be very valuable for begineers and advanced players. A few zombies will spawn inside the barracks/cell blocks, Inside the prisoner section some zombies could be locked inside the jail cells, trying to reach you though the bars and a dead man hung from the roof of his cell block, the undead trying to get his corpse though the bars to satify their hunger. While walking though the Canteen or Cell block the floors are made of tiles and running will cause a lot of sound to come from your footsteps so it is advised that you sneak/walk in the Canteen/Cell block. In the barracks you will be able to find ammuniton and Riot Gear (look at the loot list below for more information) and other things in the prison barracks like the occasional high tier pistol or shotgun. The infiltation method. This method will be done by flying a helicopter on to the helipad on top of the cell block. Since helicopters are noisy and you land on top of the cell block zombies will be spawned on the few top floors and will be awaiting your presence. You must fight your way down to the bottom of the cellblock if you want to get acess to the prison yard. This method seems safer but because of the addition on helicopter spawns becoming rarer this method would take more time to attempt. Also the helipad can only fit a small helicopter so if you think about bringing a Hind or Blackhawk it won't fit on the cell block so this will take a few hours of gameplay to think of a plan. The spawn list. Note: Such places like the barracks will need explosives to open the door, I mean seriously who wouldn't lock their weapons so hoodlums would not get them. - 1 DMR or sniper rifle: Uncommonly spawned in one of the four guard towers. - Prisoner jumpsuit: (Very common, Found in cell block) - Rioter suit: Riot helmet (Is reistant to a few pistol rounds) , padded vest (Not bulletproof), Riot sheld (Yeah they arn't bullet proof but they are melee proof). Uncommonly found in Barracks. - Shiv: Little prisoner knife. Weak and small knife, Very common in cell block. - Nightstick: Blunt melee weapon, has fastest melee swing, Takes 1 more hit compared to the axe. - Random food and drink spawns: Commonly found in the Canteen (Different word from cafateria, Don't mock me please) - Ammunition spawns: Only in the barracks. - Prison bus: A rare spawning vehicle that is in good condition (Requires a tyre as It is missing a tyre). It is faster then the previous bus but is missing a tyre. Has a rare spawn. - Remmington 870: Rare but found in the gun lockers in the barracks. - Glock 17: Rare handgun but is found in the gun lockers with the remmington. Conclusion. In conclusion a prison would be a great place to gather loot and get stuff without going to the big cities or the airfield.

The most detailed Prison topic yet

Okay I will change the nightstick aspects for sure, But what if you clubbed somebody over the head with one? The breaking of bones in the skull and then hitting the soft gooey organ known as the brain would surely kill something right?

9 kilometers, In Oz we use the metric system (If thats what it's called, we certainly don't use miles though).

    CZ75 automatic (handgun)

Just imagine people running around with CZ500's and double barreled shotguns. Not really that effective in combat when you think about it.

    CZ75 automatic (handgun)

Didn't you see how the guy handles it in the video? Anyways give the weapon a chance. If Sir Dean doesn't like it he will remove it or something, Just like how he did with that really fucking awesome L85A2 with the night vision etc.

  19. The whole community complains Left 4 Dead is unrealistic but they did seem to implament a realistic feature with the addition of uncommon common infected. So have the idea in DayZ. Some examples would be (You may list your own): A zombie in a construction outfit: Wears a yellow vest and yellow hardhat. Basically out of all the uncommon zombies this out would be a target easy to kill. I would feel sorry because out of all the zombies this guy would get picked off first. The helmet though protects it from blunt force trauma to the head and can absorb a few makarov rounds. Only found at building / demolition sites or at power plants. A zombie with a grenade vest: Zombie has it's thumb stuck on the pin of a hand grenade. On alerting the zombie it would jerk and the pin of the grenade would be pulled and the zombie would sprint towards you. Meaning you have a few seconds to kill it (Explosion regardless where you shoot it) or Run (Safer). Killing the zombie before it sees you gives you a garenteed amount of grenades from as low as 1 - 4. Unlike the construction site worker this zombie would have a very rare spawn rate. Also if you have seen the zombies you notice walk walking and jerking they seem pretty docile. Even stupider to notice a pin of a grenade is stuck around his thumb. Duds may appear with a zombie whos got his thumb stuck on a smoke grenade A zombie paramedic: Just as rare a the grenade zombie although with a medical pack. May contain a blood bag if really lucky. Usually has a backpack full of first aid gear. Chopper Pilot zombie (Suggested by applejaxc): Wears a helicopter pilot helmet (SP-4) and has resistance to 9mm bullets aimed towards the head. Ghillie suit zombie: Hidden in the forest. Near dear stands. Contains a few rifle/shotgun/pistol round in pockets. In conclusion a rather good suggestion if you want a set of variations on zombies.

I dunno. I guess like 2 hours before the generators need refueling.
  21. C'mon man get real? I mean have you even seen the interior for the humvee? It's so cramped that most U.S soldiers have their guns with folding/retractable stocks so that there is room to shoot and move and stuff. Keep it the way it is. And they should keep the ATV realistic, By all means I think the ATV holds far too much.
  22. This suggest basically adds more to the hero and bandit. When you are branded with a hero title you automatically get a bullet proof vest and a plaid shirt. This provides buffs compared to the bandit. However a bandit only gets a shemagh. Just a scarf for the appearence. So why don't we add leveling? If you reach to a certain set of humanity you get certain items. Hero leveling Level one humanity: 5000 Award: Tranquilizer pistol. This item is automatically given to the player. While only holding a few rounds ammunition is retriveable. The darts that are fired from the gun are able to knock out an enemy while not killing them and affecting your humanity. The gun does absolutly no blood damage whatsoever. The gun only holds one round in the chamber and is also silent. Only being able to hear it from 10 metres away. A valuable stealth key and one that a hero deserves. 7500 humanity awards you with the level two hero item. Award: Speed ability. This perk allows you not only to walk faster but sprinting becomes faster. This way provide useful for the awkward bandit encounter or hostile survivor encounter. (Taken from the mod). Stamina regains quicker than average survivor meaning quick short sprints can make it easy to flee from others. 10000 Humanity awards you with the level three item. Award: Bullet proof vest. This bullet proof vest has been buffed slightly. While still not taking blood loss or damage shock is still present however instead of only blocking the M9 and Makarov it will have a resistance to most pistols* and buckshot shotguns at a further range. The hero is able to take of the vest and plaid shirt however if dropped it may posses the risk of other people taking it. If you die though and somebody else posses the vest they can keep it. You can earn the vest again however so there is no need to kill the previous player who stole your vest. (*Revolver and any other high power pistol like the S&W 500 I suggested will punch though the vest easy). Now for the bandits awards. - 5000 humanity awards you with the level one item. Award: shemagh. The classic bandit headgear/scarf/thingy. It may be taken off but players can still tell if you're a bandit with the heartbeat checking. The shemagh will also provide some camoflauge but not much compared to the ghillie suit. - 7500 humanity awards you with the level two item. Award: Blood boost Raises the amount of the bandits blood from the traditional 22k to 25k blood. Since the hero has his bullet proof vest the bandit needs his perks too. So the usage of extra blood means if you're in a brawl with a hero and you kill him first you will still have enough blood to make it out alive. - 10000 humanity awards the player with the level 3 item. Award: Kukri Melee weapon. Unlike the survival knife it comes with a step up. It does more damage, It's a bigger knife, Unlike the hatchet it kukri can kill in 2 hits on a player (loss of cripple effect) but it results in an insta-kill on a zombie. It has a faster swing rate than the hatchet or crowbar making it an ideal melee weapon. Given to player when reaching the humanity level. Feel free to post opinions of this idea. Or ideas on leveling or just if you hate this or like it. Written by: LancerG2
