Err... you might not. I believe the game has some issues with multiple connections from the same IP. You might have to delve into your router and see if it can perform port forwarding and such.

Yes - the game itself has no direct ties to Steam. Install both as "usual" and they will work together just fine. Steam only handles the downloading (and it starts the game exe if asked to)

You're ovethinking it - people don't care enough for trade to risk their life on it. There is no "drug" rare enough to risk it.

Trade posts will never happen - you need protected storage, indestructable walls and so forth to accomplish this in a game as DayZ.

I mostly live up north in the very empty areas (playerwise) - If I spot someone I usually crouch down and observe them. If they come too close for my taste I fire off a warning shot (not at, but near them). If they run away, no sweat off my back - if they keep coming closer or shoot back they're fair game in my books. (Obvious "I sniper, hurr I keel you" people excluded - If I see anyone in a sniping position, they're dead)

Well yeah obviously the game is impossible for noobs - the term itself leads itself to "can't perform the required action". I think you're looking for the word newb(ie)

Protip: Not everyone has the steam version of Arma II: CO. This does work for that however. Protip: Anyone can run the game via Steam to get the steam overlay. This does work for everyone. :sleepy:

Yeah - running on battery typically underclocks your GPU and CPU. Don't do this kids - play with AC power!
