Armed players are a threat, that's that. You could have held him up, but at a place like Balota you never know if he has a team nearby, and you just don't know if he/they could be hostile. Be the first one to shoot in situations like that, always. Hell the other day I tried to hold up a guy at NWAF by telling him to drop the weapon and surrender, but rounded a corner and found another player drinking, scared the living shit out of me as they were both armed I lost it and just opened fire on them both. lol. Whoops.

All great ideas that add more customization and fun stuff for players to do. Would have my vote.

If only there was a way to disable alt f4 while in game, and make a ten second timer mandatory to exit a server. I hate combat loggers, take your death like a man. It's what makes DayZ fun.

Well the good thing about balota is all the new players are clueless about nwaf and neaf and thus they believe that balota is the only "gold mine" in chenarus. They camp balota waiting for kills while the rest of us can loot cherno/electro for the trip to nwaf/neaf lol.

OP is right, I collected so much food for my trip to nwaf but instead of gradually eating it, I just ate/drank until I no longer had the indicators in my inventory. Sure enough, the only indication came from thirst every maybe 15 minutes or so of real time. Whenever I started to get thirsty, I would wait until the light green "hungry" icon would appear next to it, pop open a can of soda and drink, and both icons would disappear. Been doing this the past few hours with no issues, and my blood is coming back gradually finally. -
I ran to nwaf as soon as the server restarted hehe, it's a work in progress.

This is a pretty lame technique. If you do this I think this might be the wrong game for you..

This has happened to every freshly killed player I've met so far. Makes it impossible to loot them as they're either glitching back and forth on the ground or constantly dragging to rocket only knows where on the map. -
If you told me you were friendly while wearing that mask I don't think I'd believe you :P

lol. My buddy was bleeding out and panicking, as he had an m4a1 and didn't want to lose it. Over skype this is what I hear "Man I'm bleeding fuck this sucks I can't die" "Bandages, bandages! Where..." "hey, disinfectant spray! I'm going to drink it!" "shit now I'm bleeding and my mouth tastes funny!" I didn't want to crush his first time playing DayZ by telling him he was hopelessly lost.

It's not like there is anything else to do at the moment, I welcome a character wipe. Going into cities/airfields and raiding them, meeting players is fun. If there were base building/vehicles then that's a different story.

Someone actually did this to me... I wa salt tabbed in electro supermarket and came back to being handcuffed. The guy said "I gave you a gun, and some ammo, I took some of your blood, but I guess I don't have a key for the handcuffs so... good luck."

Isn't there a 5 min knock out penalty for combat loggers now? Not like it really did anything, whenever I get the drop on someone and open fire, the majority of the time they log on me. I've seen people log from zombies before too lol.

Chenarus just because I know that map the best... I'm still a fairly new player so new maps are scary. My second favorite map is namalsk simply because the constant struggle to stay warm and fight infection is awesome, DayZ needs more survival risks IMO and namalsk does what it can to provide this. Well until you find warm clothes.

Combat logging? Not at all. It wasn't their fault you chose a crappy place to log out. Next time find a nice secluded place to log or man up and take your death.

I had a lot of fun here last night, helpful admins and a fun community. Well i guess the player base changes daily but last night was a blast. Found a chopper with another dude and spent the entire time up north until finally having to go to bed. Added to faves will definitely be coming back here. -
