Hey, pal, I don't like KOS CoD kiddies either, but right now bandits are the only threat. I am waiting for the SA for less KOS.

An age old (and dumb) question

I already fear you. -
Translation of OP's post: 'game was good when no one played it but when it got popular and mainstream it totally sucked' Great. Another hipster.

so all the white people can be seen with camoflauge on but the black people can't racism -
I like to RANT. Your logic is practically- "If you don't like it, don't watch it." :/

But it is warm in here.

Since everyone is hyped up for the standalone version of DayZ, I decided to contribute to that massive amount of hype with what I hope comes with it. First of all, like most rational survivors, I hope PVP is tuned down- not all the way, just a bit so that it isn't practically a deathmatch- and PVE is ramped up. Zombies need to be more dangerous. They need to make survivors employ stealth and efficient- yet silent- means of killing them. I hope to see more melee weapons, too. If zombies pose an actual threat, you won't just be focusing on not getting shot in a large city. You'll be focusing on not getting shot or eaten. If there is a larger threat from the unde infected, there will probably be more cooperation between normal players. Of course, I may be wrong. I also hope to see, uhm, lower standards for running the game. Don't laugh at me for not having a 'gaming rig', but the main reason I want a standalone is so I don't have to play the game at very low and worry about FPS drops. I also hope for barricading. Yes, barricading. I hope us survivors can board up windows, move cars and such to make barricades, and etc. I want to have a mechanic where you can make a sort of.. home. Maybe make it limited to one server, not persistent. Players could choose one server to live on or something. Of course, this idea brings a lot of new problems. I hope for less glitches and a better melee system. Right now, our hatchets are just retextured guns with a low range and silent sound. Lets hope we can bash in infected heads with bats, knives, and the plethora of blunt and sharp objects around to use to creatively- and silently- take out those pesky zombies. So, what do you guys hope for?

It was a joke....

The Walking Dead has two types of zombies. -Roamers The rotting, walking corpses that mindlessly roam, looking for a meal. -Lurkers The intacipated reanimated who sit and wait for a juicy, human steak to walk on by.

DayZ standalone more weapon camos sights grips idea

After tweaking my settings to run at a solid 30 FPS, I experience random lagbursts while playing. Most of these servers I have a low ping, such as- say, 20. Is this an issue with my computer or am I just joining shaky servers? Thanks.

DayZ standalone more weapon camos sights grips idea

No need for a sniper scope on an MP5. There is a need for sniper scopes to be on beans, though. That's a must. -
Someone.. SCRIPTING?! Drop the beans!

Your computer specs? I'm guessing you're running a computer with a Seven-Thousand-Core Processor, Super-HD 7040p Graphics Card and a rate of 10342348932.02349 GHz.

That's called being a... DRUM ROLL, PLEASE. DICK! -
Until the standalone, heart-pumping action isn't normally caused by the zombies, sadly. Hopefully the standalone will fix this. I want to have panic-attack inducing moments with zombies, but the ones in the mod don't cause them that often. The players on the other hand, do. Until the standalone, no PVP- sadly- really means no fear. Sure, zombies, they sometimes get you, but most of the time they don't make you furiously keep those buttons on your keyboard tight so you can make sure you survive. Hopefully the standalone will fix this.

Others are experiencing my problems too? We must search for an answer! Because, you know, us two are the most important DayZ players in the world! Definitely!
-
You are both either trolls or complete idiots. If I am to drop my starting gear and continue playing on this server, I will have a major disadvantage against other players. I do not even wish to play on these servers- I think it is idiotic for this overpowered gear to be given to newly spawned. As one of my friends has said about this; 'Some little kiddos who couldn't survive in DayZ bought some servers with their Mom's credit cards and made it so you don't have to do any work to get anything' I mean, there are non-PVP servers, servers with gunshops, and servers with snipers and ghillie suits that will greet you at spawn. Seriously. It ruins it.

Uhm. Please, read the thread again. I think you misunderstood.

Anyone up for a spot of server raiding ( eliminating the clan's presence)

I'll be willing to be a human shield, if I can get my FPS up. -
Where do I sign up? :D

I'm installing Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead on my new laptop right now. I'd like to know what I should set it to, what I should buy to optimize my performance, and general things I can do to optimize my performance. Heres some information on my laptop: Hewlett-Packard HP G42 Notebook PC AMD Athlon II P340 Dual-Core Processor 2.20 GHz 3.00 GB (2.74 GB usable) 64-bit Operating System It runs most of my games great. Garry's Mod runs fine, Counter Strike runs good, etc. No problems with it so far for my general games. Arma 2 has posed me problems in the past. I'd like to play DayZ lag-free; I don't care about the graphics. I'll update with what I experience when this finishes installing.
