I dont really know why its bothering me so much. its not a big thing. hell there are other much more bothersome things in the standalone currently, but the new sound effect for firing the revolver is really bugging me. before the latest update, when you fired the revolver, you got the loud bang you expect to come from a .357. after the update though, I pulled out my trusty six shooter, pulled the trigger, and my first thought upon doing so was "did they suddenly lower the caliber on this gun?" I checked my inv and, no, its still a .357. I own a .357 I know what it sounds like. the old sound for it wasnt perfect match but its a game, and the noise fit! before you got the satisfying crack of a real weapon being fired, now you get the almost toy like "pop" of a .22. maybe this isnt the right place for this, but its a suggestion, so I put it in the suggestion area.

OLSHA ALL DAY!! I like to stash my things near olsha becuase its one of the most meaningless places on the map. no item spawns so no one ever goes there.

Not sure it belongs here, but I will tell my tale. I was hanging out with a freind, we were headed up to the NW airfeild (where else?) becuase he is new to the game, and I felt that every new player should visit the NW airfeild as their first "goal." as we are leaving kabanino we check out a downed heli, then hide out in the brush while he goes AFK for a minute. in that time, we came within a good hundred meters of getting cuaght and shot by bandits. im down in the grass, looking at them as they drive by in an ural. they get out and scan the area, my breath is finally released when they get back into the ural an drive off. a moment later my freind returns "dude, we came so damn close to being caught." he agrees that it would have sucked an we debate our trip. in the end, we decide to press on. a little while later, we are lookin over a stone wall out onto the airfeild. my freind says he sees someone out there. I recognize the truck. "oh hell, thats them!" we watch for a good 10 minutes as they search through the buildings and go about their bandit business. I cant waste the ammo from my CZ on a shot im not sure of, so I hold off. they vanish into the distance. my friend and I inch foreward and we decide its best if we go south towards the barracks, that will give these guys time to clear out, but as we dont get far when the ural bursts out from between the hangers and comes barreling in our direction! "OH SHIT OH SHIT!" im yelling "WEVE BEEN SPOTTED!" the roar of ural grows rapidly louder as it approaches and just as its about to get to our location, it turns and passes over the spot we were just in. they missed us. they completely failed to notice us twice. we sit in the bushes worrying if its some filthy bandit trick, and that maybe they are gonna circle around to flank us, but they dont return. instead, they continue on headed east while one of the passengers draws dicks on the map, and telling the guy who erases them to go fuck himself. this just happened about an hour before I posted this. lucky break id say.
