We're all survivors tho we chose our role based on the items we choose to have think of it like an mmo with limited move slots but instead of moves you have gear! :P

i've heard mixed things i've got a silencer and i'm not even sure some people say no it doesnt work others say it does work but plays the wrong sound soooo.... *shrug*

simple answer: nope Edit: neither do zombies they reset when servers restart they're looking to patching it but it was designed that way i believe. Edit 2!: average sever restart time is 4 hours so don't bother waiting you'll starve 1st haha

Sneak up behind when they're occupied and yell friendly at them with my gun in their face if they don't pull their weapon i tell them they can have the loot and leave the area but if they go to pull their gun it's to late! I sware i've let so many server hoppers and KoS's live as when you catch people off guard everyone is apparently friendly haha -
Night time In Dayz SA and your thoughts?

I want to like night time, i try and force myself to play it but being a migraine sufferer it's just so dark that it strains my eyes and i don't like to have my flashlight on the whole time so it makes it difficult for me, as i have to choose between eye strain and brining on a migraine or just not playing it. i hope they do some servers with less harsh lighting eventually still i want crazy dark but just light enough that i can atleast make out silhouettes as i walk a lot at night (Edit: in RL) and after a few minutes my eyes adjust however sadly that doesn't happen in game. If they ever make some servers a fraction lighter so my eyes don't strain so hard i'd be the happiest boy in the land, as i refuse to do exploits like gamma as i'm a stubborn asshole so for now i miss out and hope that i can enjoy the horror of the night someday! -
I personally don't feel skills and stats have a place in dayz merely because it creates a grinding mentality and Dayz is about survival i don't care about leveling up my hunting coz i just want to survive i don't care about finding a medic friend because right now im bleeding out and i get what you're saying i can still do these things i can just increase in them but it still creates a grinding mentality, instead of me focusing on supplies, surviving and what my character needs i'm thinking lets hit the next level cap, lets push this skill only x more of this till this, so many other games already have that why force it into this as well? Skills / Stats / Perks aren't making me value my character, it's making me value my stats. the value of your character realise on the experience your character has while they live and the experience you had with them after they die, I've had so many good characters with awesome stories and cool situations where if the game had stats and levels i'd be focusing on those not the experience of the game. All that said each to their own, that's just my feeling's on it pay me no mind, carry on!

STOP! KoS is good it's the grits of this game!!! without it what do we have? i'll be strolling (nay frolicking) through open fields spinning in circles and you know what else why do we have caped backpack space i mean there's all this loot and i only have so many spaces! let's just make infinite carry space! zombies PAH they should be tickle me Elmos we will laugh so so much! Part of surviving can mean having to kill a player for what he has even if we don't want to and if only parts of his loot drop what if what i killed him for doesn't drop? i'm starving and need food i can't risk asking him or he may kill me so i'll kill him and take it, that's part of the dayz expierieeeencceeeeee -
sure if you like viruses they're great! you get a virus and no game it's win win!

Alpha is already being sold at a discount the price will only go up after full release then expect a sale a few months after that at least would be my guess Edit: so over a year before any sale i'd expect

yeah, no lol I disagree, i like that theres no flashiness having special zombies i dunno doesn't sit right with me may as well be dead island or dying light then, i do agree they need more diversity in looks have army geared zombies etc but nothing to far fetched this isn't last of us with fungal infections!! just my thoughts! -
I like that a lot also gives you one more use for water, have say a timer so a body has fresh blood for 5 - 10 minutes after being killed before it goes dry so if you stumble upon an older corpse you won't be penalized for it.

I've got a full map they're easy 90% of cars have them in them. get the pieces and combine them you can get it in 2 halves as well i found a full north and a full south both pristine within 5 mins of each other, just hit a mid szie town out in the sticks and you'll be good. Edit: full map proof :P

i wouldn't worry about the 'healing' status (i have a feeling it actually means something else like is sickness related or something not blood regen related) sa i've never had the healing status and i've regened to 'healthy' countless times. Edit: Ah guess it's not that then.. that is weird.

lol adding to the rumors i've heard saline bags are only temporary and diminish over time. so *shrug* who knows haha good luck tho!

Yeah what bogan said, i wouldn't worry when there's more weapons it'll all balance out its hard to be balanced when there's only 4 weapons in game (3 currently active) so far, and very small loot tables making things spawn more frequently.

I agree to a point but if you join populated servers everythings stripped already i always head north and only play in the north but after 2+ hours busy servers with not just people hopping into military bases have very little if anything. I'm on the back roads at the moment and all the houses are already stripped in a 30 player max server :( Plus after 10 minutes server hoppers have stripped every military base on any server i've played on, which means i either have to move on and take another 15 minutes hoping i beat people server hopping or server hop myself (which i would never do) at least if loot spawns server hopping won't be as severe as waiting 4 hours for loot to spawn! -

Right now loot spawn is all i care about as KoS (to me) is easily avoidable and once the loot / zombie spawns are fixed i'll barely notice the server hoppers which are the biggest scum of dayz! Edit: Changed vote from loot to server hoppers now that it has been added ;) -
as much as i like dayz as a simulator i think a 12 hour cycle would be better and balance out the eating / drinking in a day better than the 24 cycle, leave eating drinking how it is, i think food / drink is pretty much perfect right now. Edit i'd vote but theres no 'shorter time with the same food/eating rates' option.
