  1. they didn't fixed these things they fixed the water bug only, so player woun't loose his gear when swimming, what you talking about is different system its makes it easier for regular arma 2 player change his weapon its not considered for dayz and also there probably bugs in that system...
  2. I dont think its Dayz specific problem it the arma 2 game engine itself.

    Disconnecting to avoid death

    maybe this will prevent from d/c dayz_server file should have new build-in battle eye like system. if it possible to make dayz read the server log or something like this in real time so it will monitor. - if player disconnecting check if he received damage in last 10-20 sec - if disconnected when sprinting - if disconnected 10-20 sec after shooting - if murder/humanity count increased/decreased 10-20 sec before the disconnect this for now, hope its possible to code this conditions

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2

    Hi Rocket here some bugs and addons I think could be fixed/added: --- [f]-feature, -bug, [e]-edit --- [f] take wood from "woodstands", some houses has "woodstands" near them, it can be used to get wood from it this is what I mean by "woodstand", I dont know its name... [f] use hatchet as second weapon, if player has weapon he will be able to use the hatchet as second weapon. when trying to pick weapon to the backpack its disappears, happened to me couple times. hatchet disappears when dropped out. crowbar not working, tried to use it but was unable to hit with it. magazines convert option cause cheat...shh;) the player detection system of zombies is bit too good,they spot players too easy. [e] players disconnects in PvP, add system to check when player disconnects if he received damage in last 10~20 seconds before he did. if yes, take his weapon or something else as punishment to all this scums who disconnects when shit gets serious... I saw that doghouse spawns items in the air and player can't pick them. backpacks which spawns with some other item are blocked by that items, so I have to take all the items and only then I can take the backpack. [e] zombie sprint animation... make them run at the same speed but more like zombies and not like Olympic sprinters, make them throw their hands or hold them in front of the body. [f] combine crossbow arrows 3-5 arrows into one slot magazine. [f] power grid system refuel the generators to light some city for couple of minutes, so players without nvg will be able to hunt those who have. [f] show to other player that you are friendly with some animation from the hand signals of Arma, salute breaks animation so its sucks.   7. holding W key is not so hard... if you have gaming mouse set its 4 or 5th button to walk... this way you can use mouse only. or use Adanteh suggestion, its tested by many gamers already! :D

    its very good idea, most of the people don't have weapons at home... (but they do have a coke and sardines...)
  9. Rocket and Dev team, read this please. sorry for my english.:blush: here is my suggestions: 1. Its strange that when the zombies just walk they looks like zombies but when the spot player they just sprint like real humans. Its just impossible, I think the sprint animation should be changed so the zombies run at the same speed but with their hands point forward or any other strange things with their hands and maybe heads to make more realistic zombie like behavior. 2. Player animations, I still cant understand why, but in arma to switch weapon player must stop and its done very slowly, also the ladder climbing animation just sucks, I don't want to speak about the rest of them, but this 2 anims is the most important, because in surviving game like this every second counts, and makes the difference between life and death. If its possible to change this animations, and make it more realistic. I can help, just tell me how to edit the animations. 3. I think its time to make use of the Turbo button to do some actions. 4. city power grid, at night player with jerrycan can find power station which leads to some city, and refuel the generator so there will be lights in the city for X minutes, if 1 jerrycan has 20lit, so for example it will light the city for 10min. 5. ability to hold flashlight and pistol at the same time, also make it take less slots. 6. arrows combine option, each 5 or 3 can be at one slot, like the shotgun shells. 7. new inventory system, make it more like RPG games style and not as it now, I saw mod like this... 8. maybe to use the SMK mod with dayz *Edit* OMG forgot this: shout "friendly", and whistle option by key press for example Turbo key +F etc. Thanks. btw great new zombie sounds and animations! the game is much faster and stable now. :cool: rating my own post like a boss

    if you just got this game/mod, play it first then give some real suggestions here. its tells you where you are when you spawn, that should be enough.

    There is a "gap" between what player want, what dev team can do and the game engine limits. zombies in dayz still got the arma 2 limits...

    Inventory items randomly lost when killed

    So you suggest that players will be like the red box in Mario games that pops mushrooms\coins? I think its impossible to code, also I don't think its needed in dayz.

    Here is my "Spawn Gear" Wishlist

    I think: 1 morph 1 food 1 coke 2 makarov mags 1 bandage 1 pain killer no backpack... or the smallest one. Its much easier to find makarov mag than respawning and all these "ammo hacks" this shit is for noobz, also killing player who just spawned on the beach for mags, lol.

    Serious suggestion for all the carebears (and devs)

    As I know from my experience with skins in Arma and dayz its just not work... There is no skin actually, its just changes the whole player character itself... and makes a lot of bugs as I posted in another thread, dayz should have face expressions, depends on your aggression and murders count. Iam "new" to dayz playing only couple of dayz so I still have the dilemma, to kill or not to kill. I think that half or at least 1/3 of players shoot on sign because they scared, lol I cant understand why to shoot someone if he saw you first and didnt shoot you. well if you are lame bandit its OK. I got killed 4 times, player shoot in my back, player that I helped him to kill the zombie that was chasing him etc, and those players which, I let them live and they shoot me after I walked away. I think that its just way too much, there probably thousands post like this, but its just fuc*ed up. *Its NOT directed to the Thread starter, I dont know if he killed me... *sorry for my english.
  20. this is a great idea, but it too hard to do it... its too many variables to handle, I think that at least half of this could be added to dayz. or on basic level, not as detailed as you said. after reading this post I got an idea: every player has his "humanity bar", this mask icon at the bottom right, when player kills some one the mask change its face, I think that player character itself should change its face too, Arma is very rich in face expression as I know, for example pain expression I think I saw it. even if its not exist I think its not to hard to add. as in real life you can "see" the nature of person by his face and eyes I think u should have the same ability in game. I found some info from B.I Wiki: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/setMimic its not for A2 but I think Arma 2 has this options too.

First of all Thanks for this great mod! here is my suggestions: # Female zombies # raise hand animation - player will be able to play this animation by pressing key, character will raise his hand so other players can see that he is friendly. # Kick zombie, player will be able to make something like "Sparta kick" in attempt to survive. # military knife can be used to silently kill zombies. # barricade doors - if player finds wood stick he will be able to barricade door so it will be impossible for zombies and other players to enter the room, to exit the room he will need to remove the stick. # fill the water bottle from rain - it will take time ~minute to fill the bottle when there is heavy rain
  22. I just wanted to open a suggestion about the female zombies thing... I think it will be a good idea and will add more realism to the game
