I know nothing about programming, but I feel like the system they have in place is a lot more complex than if they had raw input. I don't really get it either.. then again I don't get bloom, rotation blur, god rays, the eating sounds, walking up hills et cetera....

Yeah, there are heroes, myself and clan included that do not patronize or make assumptions about players, we often encounter fresh spawns, ask them if they want/need anything and usually we are heading our separate ways within 10-20 seconds it seems. We spend most of the time in the tree line simply watching people, waiting for bandits to show up. Never really understood the "Let me force feed you all my food and water, and shove 'help' down your throat" approach.

A bit better than that. However don't get down on yourself. I think that because DayZ can be very stressful and emotion-provoking, in a way it encourages us to act in extremes, and I for one also end up doing stupid things too. It can be hard to stay patient when you're heart is racing and your hands are shaking, but I'm learning after many many hours that slow and steady usually comes out on top. Also, having the high ground can be pretty beneficial. Cheers

You're on the right track, don't let the KoSers get you down. Orlok is absolutely right that killing everyone is pretty unimaginative and pretty lame, I'll take it a step further and say it's pretty cowardly as well. Remember, the path to righteousness is not an easy one.

This has happened to me before, I'm not sure why or how to fix it necessarily, but when I have exited the game and relaunched it from steam it seems to be OK. Or have you already tried?

I imagine the game will become more of a survival simulator when more content gets added. Also, more guns and ammo types will mean more searching before you find a weapon and bullets that are compatible (hopefully). Furthermore, there probably WILL BE dedicated PVP servers at somepoint, but hopefully those will be private hives that are not linked to the public (survival) servers.

If only it would be possible to carry enough food and water to not die on that trek... Here's to crawling uphill...

So, I haven't gotten to the end of the video, I am just really really hoping that at 3:10 or so, when some guy says "everyone off the boat", that about a dozen people just hop the rail and fall 30 feet to their death. Also, hilarious so far.
