Okay, let's put an end to all this. Months ago i played DayZ and decided to create an internet hype around that game, just by creating fake persons, dev blogs, interviews etc. There is no Dean Hall or DayZ Standalone. You have all been fooled by my supreme intellect. Hardest part was to make WarZ so incredible bad, so all the communities hope and time was spent on Standalone rumors. April fools.

I don't know... but if we have two options: 1. It's an alpha testing server or 2. There a little 12 year old sitting on his/her PC for days, changing names frequently between up to 20 Persons. And because that isn't enough, he hacked SteamDB and made it look like it's the official server. I'd bet on number 1.

Because there are alpha testers on these servers?

Well normally my nickname is Onecent, which is yeeeears old. A friend of mine came up with it, because my real name is Vincent. But often this nickname wouldnt work on the internet so i take my other one, Leasy (which was something like "Le Easy".. yep, stupid. :D). it's from the time playing Modern Warfare 1... in the rank of a General... sooo it became Generalleasy

I tried forum search but i haven't really found what i was looking for.. I'm not new to this game, but i have been offline for a few months now and today i installed arma2 + dayz on my new PC.. i tried to find my old server, but there were only 2 Official servers connected to the Hive... is it normal now, that there's nearly no official server left? I'm fullgeared and i would like to stay like that, but because one of the two servers left is a US server with high ping to me, this means there is only one server left i could play with my gear... Sorry, i'm not a native english speaker. //Edit: Okaaaay... magically this solved itself as 700 other official server popped up, which did not happen the last few hours...

Okaaay... this is a good example how fast someone with full gear can loose it. :D even without another player... i stood on the roof oh the cherno fire station and killed zeds with my SD... a little strafe to the left, and instead of standing next to the edge, i found myself just floating down the roof into death :D

Yep i refreshed all servers a few times but at first there were only 2 left... don't know why, but after a bunch of dayzcommander restarts it finally worked... i'll look for a private server as soon as someone manages to kill me. ;)

I heard about the Balota Buddies servers some times, i think i'll give it a try as soon as i die or surviving gets too boring :D my old standard server is unreachable for me since december, so most of my stored gear and vehicles are lost anyway ;)

So that's why it is quiet on Twitter.

Lots of games now have Tanks and Jets, that does not mean DayZ needs something similar.
