  1. See guys? my players love my server. if only more of you could join the fun that would make it so much better. maybe you do not know what you're missing out on.
  2. can you post your settings? (some settings in arma can really kill the performance on ATI graphics cards)
  3. hi Mike, Recently, a group of 4 guys joined my server. 3 guys from US, the other guy from Canada. The 3 other guys joined after the first one because he loves my server. Maybe it's something for you? (they play on the server that's in my signature)
  4. kichilrog is correct. The best way to add stuff is via the mission file. A short tutorial on how to do that: dayz_mission.pbo > init.sqf > Put this after the if (isServer) then { part in there: [] ExecVM "compile\buildings.sqf"; Then, go to your mission you created with all the buildings in that should be located in Documents\Arma2\missions\*yourmissionname*.*map* and copy the contents of the mission.sqf from there into a new file called "buildings.sqf". Remove all of the other stuff that is not a part of the _vehicle_ entries in that file. so the file should start with _vehicle_*number* = objNull And should also end with a }; from the last _vehicle_ Anything after that should be deleted. (mostly 3 more rows with short code) if you did not understand the above, just message me.
  5. Hi Daniel, Getting into a squad can be kinda tricky. The best way to get into one is looking on Google for squads that are recruiting or just playing on servers that have a few squads in. If you find a squad, don't ask them right away if you could join, let them get to know you first. Most squads are formed out of people that trust each other and who might be IRL friends. I hope this helped you.
  6. [iMPROVED] AI Bandit base sniper castle now has better sniper positions providing good cover from hill
  7. May I ask why? If it is against the rules, I am sorry I did not know.
  8. This reply is outdated, please ignore because we switched to PvP :)
  9. [NEW] Added extra military camps with loot tents and baracks.
  10. Please guys, at least give it a try you will not regret.
  11. [FIXED] Mission file too large for most people. Size on November 13th: 449Kb
  12. Is it a mission file sensor, that dome? Or do you use some other way? Really depends on the method really. If implemented via .sqf on isServer in init.sqf with createtrigger, you can use sleep 5; for example to take of some load.
  13. Hmz... That doesnt sound very good if I'm honest. Never heard of that "not setup yet" thing either. Do you get this all on the same server or on any? If you haven't had this before, might be a server issue...
  14. What about a primary rifle and a crossbow switchable like hatchet + rifle in 1.8? Or did I miss something about the new system, might be possible already?
  15. I hope your server hardware will not shake out of its rack when you get like 60 people to join once and all request a base with dome lol
  16. Maybe try to upgrade the wall instead of door? There is no such item as just a locked door so might be worth giving the wall with door a try

    DayZ Squad + Server?

Sorry bro but you won't get much guys by advertising this way. These days, you need to make it look attractive like hell to make a few guys interested. And trust me, just playing on a server with only a squad is gonna get really really boring. Been there, done that. Unless the squad is 30 people, lol.
  18. If you have a shitload of objects to get loaded from db you might get a yellow or red link just after server startup. And with a shitload I mean like 2000 depending on the server/db speeds. I think that mission file method is better for server restart times and server performance if you are going all out on amounts. On lower amounts below 1000 there won't be much difference in performance between the 2 methods. But somehow I prefer the mission file method because it eliminates possible issues with AI shooting through them and invisible objects if that object has an animation like some anti-air radars with moving parts. Overall, it's best to keep an eye on the amount of extra buildings and what they do. If they spawn zombies or loot then they can be harder on your server than other normal objects. Server doesnt give a shit about non-loot/zombie buildings.
  19. Database is easy, just apply and wait for next restart. if you use the mission file and you built 1 thing incorrectly and you want to correct it, players have to download new mission file again. and if you have a lot of buildings in combo with large loadingscreen, might get pretty big. if you have the option, try database.
  20. I am sorry dude that I totally forgot about you. I am really busy managing my own server but I am sure I will add you on skype soon.
