So no matter what I seem to try my game always has all the text missing starting off, so I switch it from the default English to a different language and it causes all of the text to reappear but it will never save these options after restarting. Second, every time I try to join a server it flips me a modified file error, and it seems to change which pbo file is the modified one at different times, it's really getting annoying considering the fact that I have not modified the game at all. Any input would be appreciated.

I have the exact same problem, only I can't even join any games. It keeps telling me that I have modified .PBO files even though it's freshly installed.

I don't know what I need to do to fix this issue, but I really wanna play and I can't even edit settings.

Yeah, did all of that, and reinstalled the game still nothing, and even when I try to join a server I get kicked with an error message.

I haven't been able to get on any DayZ servers. IT either comes up with "Bad Version. Server rejected connection" or it just comes up with the something went wrong message. Does anyone else have this problem?

I am not using the steam only version. i have the Arma X: Anniversary edition, but i tried out DayZCommander and it is now working fine.
