Finally the game is getting away from just TDM on the coast and more towards a survival with zombies and players both being a threat. Now to see how they tweak the zeds to be a bit cleaning in spawning/movement. Also I love all the people crying because they have to fight zeds instead of just killing players with full gear and lots of ammo.

The biggest problem has always been clunky controls that everyone has hated since arma2/mod. However good news is they added a new hat to loot instead of a valid fix to the big control issues with too much mouse acceleration. -

Actually the best way is to try and turn and shoot him first. Lets be honest 9/10 times you will be killed reguardless of how well you follow thier orders so you might as well try to go out fighting. -
I think another reason is atm there is no reason not to KoS. The zeds are pointless atm and there is no reason to work together since theres nothing to do but pvp and the fact the KoS has no consequences only benefits of looting them and not dieing.

Sounds nice to me. I think organized pvp with an objective or goal is more fun then just shooting anything you see. Also adds a level of skill. -

I feel the reason for pretty much only Kos/pvp atm is because there is no negative to doing so only positive. Plus thats all there is to do atm is pvp. Now if there were zeds in this game that meant something things could be different. Like if you fired a loud gun in a town and 50+ zeds rushed towards you, people make think before shooting and see if its really worth killing a fresh spawn at the chance of dieing fully geared by zeds. But until consequences are added for kos/pvp, it will remain as it is now. -

I'd personally love to see zeds be hard to kill like they should. Only way should be melee or bullet to the head, anything else might just slow it down but not kill it. The misery mod for STALKER COP is a good example of what I mean, you shoot the zombies anywhere but the head they just flinch or fall down and get back up. -
Atm you can gear up rather fast at which point it gets boring once geared and not much to do but run around cities till you die and start over.

Thats a lot of money made on basically a alpha game thats pretty much hype atm. Heres to hoping this game truly becomes something great.

DayZ is the only multiplayer survivor game thing where you can't carry like 10 guns, WHICH IS FANTASTIC, lets keep it this way

Talking about realism is in favor of carrying a lot of weapons btw. Most guns don't weight that much and you can carry a good bit with straps. Given a weight system would be nice because sure you can easily carry 2+ rifles, but it is a lot harder to carry 2+ LMGs for example. -
Well I think this would be interesting. I mean if you fire a gun in a city during the zed apocolypse you would assume there would be at least 100+ zeds on their way to you not just 3-5....

Well lets hope pve becomes a part of the game with a balance with pvp. Sadly in the mod and current SA its cod with people spawn camping the coast lol.

The problem is the massive amount of optimization the SA would need to have a lot of zeds + hoards roaming around. Honestly I would love to see this but not sure if it will happen anytime soon or at all due to engine limitations/massive fps and lag drops. -
Well after reading this topic go back and forth you can clearly see valid points on each side. However the main problem I see from most of these topics is there is too much fandom with peoples responses. I myself have played the mod since it first release and enjoy the SA a bit atm. However when talking about a game you are alpha testing you really need to knock it off with the fan boy crap. The best testing way I've seen to help a game is to be pretty much non biased towards to game otherwise your responses on the game are skewed and will not promote a better development.

At least trees,shrubs,running into other people, and doors don't break my legs anymore. I have been killed by running through a bush before...

Personally I'd like to see a lot of pistols/shotguns and rifle from hunting to even semi auto. Then of course a few military grade with mostly russian type weapons like the AK/SVD

The problem is even the US servers weren't set for US time. It was day at 3am EST and night around noon on most I played with good ping for me on the est coast. So it was always night time which gets old. Plus I want to see how things have changed and look now which can't be done at night.

The worst is you stop moving when changing weapons of stuff in your hand. For example you going around at night with a flashlight in your hand and agro a zombie. You then stop get beaten by that zed for a few seconds as you switch weapons instead of being able to as your moving.

Do no one realize the fact you can only carry 1 primary weapon balances out the snipers. If they need to go resupply in town they need to use thier melee or pistol to defend themselves and run the chance of facing someone with a close range AR/AK that has the advantage now.

People complained about high end military ARs, when the simple matter is that these guys would be at every checkpoint or military zone because there are more guns than people. Sniper rifles would be fine because in the SA you can only carry 1 main gun, 1 melee,and 1 sidearm atm. So that person with only a sniper could get screwed when he has to go into town to resupply and encounter another person with a short range weapon. So you have to decide to have a long range rifle or short range combat weapon.

Doubt they will change its location but once stuff gets added and they are focusing on loot spawns i'm sure they will balance it out so you get low end gear down south instead of now where there is no balancing.

People seem to forget its an alpha and the fact is we are mostly here to test how the servers run and find bugs to be fixed. Pretty much all the loot spawns and such are pretty much just placeholders atm until more content is added and then the focus on loot balancing.

I have been playing alone but I also played some time on the mod since it first came out. I only real advantage vet players have I think is that I can personally navigate from the coast to anywhere north without a compass or map. Also even if someone is a vet it doesn't mean someone can't kill you. A lot of stuff is new and beingf a vet only helps so much with all the new mechanics.
