    Been playing on the same public server. I play with some friends and they have no experienced any such issues...but thanks for the suggestion!

    I bought the game through steam, and was running on version 1.7.6 102285 when this happened. I have been using playwithsix to launch my game. After downloading Arma 2 OA through steam, and installing dayz through playwithsix on another computer (not at home), i joined a server (de 829) to find that my character had been reset( IE spawned in a new location with none of my previous gear). I thought that this might have just been due to the fact i was playing on another computer, but when i returned home to the computer I've always been playing on, the character that was newly created had replaced my older one. Is it possible to retrieve my old character, and is this a recurring issue? PC: i7 x 980 @3.7ghz 6gb ram@2000mhz GTX 590 gpu Windows 7 ultimate
