The feasibility of a dynamically altered Chernarus map[DISCUSSION]

I always like to question myself how can a players life be made a more immersive/interesting journey across and throughout Chernarus+. The experience has to be more than just going from place to place for loot, weapons or water/meat. Without any aim or objectives the life of a character becomes pointless, without purpose, you exist only to interact, kill and acquire loot. One will argue that is all we need because the current set of features alone, gives us as players all the 'tools' we need to make our own fun. I say this is insufficient and makes for little more than barren empty shoebox mod. If we could look at this from another angle and introduce a new perspective into spending the hours playing Dayz, we would doubtlessly make it into more of an experience than a sandbox simulation. We should then work around the concept of introducing more dynamically/scripted changing elements of the sandbox. At this point we all have ideas flaring up in our minds, multitudes of avenues and aspects to approach. I have chosen to look at the physical geography of the map and areas where changing it will bring both immersion and deepen the experience on a scale larger than finding all the weapons and baked beans ever will. THE DYNAMIC INTERVENTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT BY PLAYERS. Basically this is where the map Chernarus+ changes dynamically over time according to player interaction/alteration with physical manipulation which in turn produces physical effects. Implementing this will also mean a system where the map has its own ecosystem and changes on its own by some virtual conception of timeflow. Base building/constructions(confirmed). Burning down a forest. Falling trees. Digging underground tunnels. Rivers that dry and fill up. Clan camp sites. Flooding from bursting dams. Tides that submerge and expose strips of land. Zombie panic events. Thunderstorms with hazardous gales. Radiation zones that require a Gasmask/hazmat. Meteor crashes. These ideas are absurd for technical reasons alone, but what i want to express into your thoughts is the concept of a changing world that makes the place around you feel real. Rocky Dean Hall has recently confirmed hostile/neutral animals, the inclusion of animals and random helicopter crashes are already two steps in the right direction. What ideas can we include next and do we need to make any changes/corrections to the underlying philosophy of this post. Vegeta. What does the Dean Hall say about his power level. I would like to redesigned fire stations and supermarkets. They are a joke tbh as an architect I can they are little more than boxes with doors. I'm talking about redesigning the interior and exterior of the buildings -

Unarmed Freshspawn kills fully geared clan and feels bad............

New spawn running to elektro from the east and is passing by a small town near the industrial warehouse. Unarmed newspawn find 2 fully geared players shooting at something, zombies he thinks, he creeps up to the one with the sks and punches him from behind, takes his sks empties a round in his noggin and takes down his nearby friend who has an m4a1. Both players have full sets of military clothes, pristine helmets, mountain bags, scoped weapons and so on, he proceeds to loot.....The new spawn then hears the sound of both barrels of a Blaze 95 going off behind him and dies while looting their bodies, the assailant then utters, "got you, you little fucker". This was a clan pvp server with 30+ players so its safe to assume they were operating in a clan as there were at least 3 of them together all fully armed. You stole my thread :( nevermind, all i care about is getting the ideas onto the forums and i prefer the titles of yours. Heres my suggestion: 1. A civilian airport because a country has people living in it and they need means of air transport 2. A civilian naval port that was used by tourists visiting the island for holidays, etc.... place ports along the coasts of the west and north side of the island and place them as spawn points for boats. -

A system like in skyrim where you can create an entirely custom character face other than the generic ones we have now. Mine would have dark hair and a long face with masculine features.

NO NO NO better, our character starts of with an unscathed body, and gets scars on his face as he gets cut there. Edit: I have done minor studies in applied psychology and i can firmly say a professional can determine the state of your mind and psyche by listening to how you create your character's face and the way you play him.

This class of firearms has many different variants/ammo types/spread patterns, all effective from 0-200m. From the humble pump fed to the military combat full-auto. I want to see development focused on designing different types of shotguns and user crafted ammo instead of designing more rifles. "i imagine shotguns would be more common than handguns and rifles, in this rural farm land. in battlefield games i dont use shotguns ever , but in this game it makes sense, that they woudl be more common, and i never relax until i have a sawn off shotgun in my rucksack, for those crazy moments, and close quarters exploration. just basic, standard types, that farmers might own, would be fine with me, although why not have 1 or 2 type of military grades, since m4 is in game already, in the "appropriate" places."

Which organisation's standardized assault rifles are in service/used to be in service by the armed forces in the real life counterpart of Chernarus? Could we have a history lesson of the armed forces that were either established or located in the real life counter part of Chernarus, and the firearms they use for service in the past and in the present. They have confirmed horticulture, where we can grow plants persistent to a server and hostile animals for q2 and q3 of 2014. Kudos to the guys at BI. That means i can set up a campsite in the forest where i can not only plant and grow plants to consume and decorate but i also have to defend the campsite from wild hostile animals http://www.gameranx.com/updates/id/21097/article/dayz-standalone-future-road-map-revealed/

Dean Hall did not cover improvements to the lighting engine

I thought of this while doing my daily manly workout of one thousand pushups. DH did not mention or even vaguely refer to how he and his team plan to improve the lighting engine in DayZ. The current version of lighting and source rendering during night time is horrible, light does not refract of surfaces, the rays don't even illuminate objects properly. Considering that night time is a core gameplay aspect of the RV engine and in turn Dayz, shouldnt this be one of the more important topics to elaborate his plans for the future on. -

Seriously, Guppy and Prime, you are not the authoritarian police of the Dayz community, there are no laws or moral standards in this game other that your personal and subjective opinions(which if you realize hold no grounds for accusation or persecution). I agree it is a reprehensible crime against my standard Dayz of ethics to run clan wide item exploiting and on top of that make the claim of hard work and diligence as public advertisement which is in fact fraudulence and cheat, you dont see me proclaiming to the forum the evil of other people like i was some white knight. You know what f* it yeah flame S3 and the leader lets see the guys clan's popularity fall and fall. Vegeta. what does the Dean hall say about his power level.
