Hi im looking for some buddies around the coast to play with on the weekends. Have to be friendly, communicative, easy to work with and of course play for fun. +1 After being killed many times by snipers the first thing i did when i found my first sniper was create a long train of zombies and waste them all. Got about 50+ before bleeding to death. That's what i think of you, DMR and every noob that uses you Good times....

What times do you regularly play?? Do you currently have a group or play alone?

Make them have a really high rate of degradation, much higher than other guns

Features: Treading over grass/mud leaves footprints on the ground that stay there until logging out of a server. Mud/dirt stays on character's shoes and leaves prints for a number of footsteps while walking on unorganic terrain (roads, floors, cement pavements) Practical implications Watch your back for anyone tailing you, Set traps for your enemies, Stalk players to their camps/ storage depots Feel the thrill of tracking other players, works along with empty cans left on the ground after consumption. This would be an awesome and uberrealistic feature :D

There is no point, its just something that happens in real life. On a side note: You can expect Gvonzo to be looted clean You my stumble upon his rotting corpse to loot You can follow the footsteps and eventually soemthing will come up along the way

My exact build lol and still not enough fps on dayz. Running this with an asus p8z77vlx mobo, i hope this is a sufficient chipset for the above

It can be something as simple as a decal, like a bullet hole when you shoot a wall in BF3. In order for this to work it has to be a very server performance friendly addition.

Your heart must have been pounding while waiting on the ladder. i know mine sure does in those situations. So my first kill: I had started dayz the day before and was really pissed to lose my low level gear to starvation. I sort of knew my way around now so i went to the firshouse and got myself an akm with 2 mags. The delight of finding your first rifle quickly turns to paranoia over fear of anyone willing stealing my precious baby from me. I went to the supermarket after dodging some other players and saw a guy picking up items, he was armed with a windchester i think, but i saw him as a potential threat and would player it safe. I shot him on sight (something i vowed never to do since i am a 'GOOD PERSON') and the bloke was dead before i even knew it, i knew the shots would attract nosy players and ran away as fast as i could to the hills. Who would know my first kill would be so cold hearted and cruel like a bandit, coming from a person who never shoots on sight.

K. now give your DMR and spare mags to the first bambie you come across

Dont be conned by youtube videos, they have been heavily edited to cut out the boring parts and make the dayz experience look alot more interesting than it really is. If you really do want to get it, make sure you have a friend FIRST or else its gonna get boring real quick (1 week or so). Be sure to get the standalone though

That implies a leveling up system where weapon handling gets easier for the player, there is no place in Dayz for that. I dont know how good your marksmanship skills with a sniper rifle are, but i know for a fact that you did not hit anything with it for a long time after starting. That leaves us to the question of what skill level of weapons handling the character should possess. As it is, all dayz characters are naturally gifted expert marksman fitted with enough skills to be a military sniper instructor.

Weather variables.

I hit a coin at 20 meters with a scoped windchester when i was 11.... still have that coin with a hole in its side today. That was my onle experience firing live ammo, the rest of the time till now its been air rifles. Anyway in that short experience i can tell you that rifles especially unmaintained ones kept by civillians never hit on the dot. I got that shot with the rifle resting on some books on a table and even then it was really shaky. Firing a rifle is HARD!

Probably..... but NO !! imagine a hardcore dmr bandit having character advantages over regular players.

Looking for people with big plans: I am creating a group of 'elite mercenaries'. Basically we do everything we fancy and function as we wish. Bandits today and Heroes tomorrow? Tactical military operations? Ambush a clan/loot a stockpile steal all their supplies after days of stalking? Work as double agents and leave a terrible surprise? Surviving in the secluded forest by ourselves and the zeds? Acquire an army of helicopters and dominate Chernarus ? Go on a mindless killing spree or deliver first aid to some poor soul? Hoard weapons/supplies to make the BIGGEST stock of items? Help out in other clan's operations as bodyguards or assassinate their leader? Just play normally and hangout with each other? Go on your own for a few weeks and join us afterwards or never again? WE DO ANYTHING!! You get the idea, we do whatever we want and whenever we want to. Most importantly we have big plans that involve alot of work with equally large payoffs which is what defines us and make us distinctly different from any other community. Which is why i need schemers and workers for this ultimate band of freelance mercenaries. I will not run this group like a company or a clan you will report to no one there are no recruits or officers. This is a small community of cooperative friends that just does stuff together. I will not elaborate anymore because this is up for discussion among members and for reformation at anytime. You will notice that i have not put much effort into writing this thread which is why it's not a long-ass bigshot clan recruitment post, members who i want will find this post sufficient and understand what they are getting themselves into. Theres this server where a guy puts tents on all the loot spawns on the church in Elektro so that only he can retrieve the loot that spawns there(i know what a fag right). On a fixed time he joins the server removes the tents since only he can and takes the loot underneath which he then brings to a undisclosed location to store. The server is us866 and remember it is the church in ELEKTRO. 1. Join the server US866 by entering name into dayz commander search bar 2. Go to the church in elektro, stake out the church 3. Wait for the guy to come along and harvest the loot 4. Tail him to where he stores it and kill him Vindicators of justice i leave his fate to you. KILL HIM !!

Hello my name is Magnatrix i've been playing Dayz for a month or so now, alone, and it has gotten very boring and lonely. I've tried making groups on the forums but i've never been able to find a solution to the problem of us always being online when they were asleep/ at work and vice versa. This is mostly due to the fact than i'm from Singapore and Dayz's popularity has largely not yet reached asian gamers. I'm looking for some friends 2-4 to form a small group where our daily schedules would coincide aroudn the same time everyday or so. We would basically do stuff together and turn cherarus upside down.
