  3. just so that everyone can see what a buch of incapable programmers people are working at Bohemia. DayZ without zombies ... common ...
  4. ARMA3 has passed it's beta status and has been released a few weeks ago. They announced the development in May 2011 and released it in September 2013 .. so they worked on it for 2 years and it is still full of bugs and glitches! The game has so many problems regarding bugs, glitches and the overall performance and they still released it! Bohemia seems to be unable to produce a single game without serious issues! And they know they are not capable of fixing a lot of the problems so they release the game even with those problems! (because what elese could they do?) I am not making this up .. ARMA 3 has been released and it still has a lot of problems .. look it up. Why am i mentioning ARMA 3 ? Because why should DayZ with it's small DEV-Team turn out any better than ARMA 3 ? Bohemia lacks good programmers for the core elements of their games .. and i am not talking about artists who make those nice gun-models or buildings. Designing stuff and creating the map is not the core element of the game and showing us all those new cool gun models is not progress in development! ( But one of the ARMA developers / programmers seems to be the co-founder of Bohemia .. so of course he is doing a lot by himself and not hiring someone else who might do a better job. I just wish a company with capable programmers would have come up with the concept of DayZ, then we could actually enjoy a decent game )

  7. I know what i see in the videos and i know what i know by playing the mod .. based on that i make criticism and suggestions. I don't care if you like that or not. so what? that does not mean they are doing a good job at it. As in every job you have people who know what they are doing and poeple who just suck at what they are doing .. maybe i am hoping that by reading my posts, rocket starts working on zombie AI or animations before adding another feature to the game we don't need right now! And how about you stop telling me what to do? if you don't like my posts, ignore them!
  8. @Hosty: you'r one of the true fanboys .. it's ok, go kiss rocket's ass. i did post very little on the forums, and i only posted things i wanted to be considered / looked at DURING the development. That's why i don't just wait for the game to come out ... i want the dev's to look at some aspects i want to be better in the SA than the mod. But now all i am seeing is that the dev's do unnecessary stuff and don't take care of the real problems / features. That's all that i am criticising. And if rocket is not capable to do the programming himself or tells us that only few people can work the project (network bubble and shit) simultaneously, go hire some people that aren't that incompetent! .... i know rocket doesn't owe us anything, but i like the concept of the game and i am frustrated that the devs / BI are unable to make a proper game out of it.

Starting at 2:20: Walking inside the house / through doors doen't look very smooth Starting at 8:10: The other player keeps sliding instead of walking / limping .. 5:55 / 8:20 / ... : Still those horrible bloom effects ... - IMHO all the moving, running, crouching animations look worse than in ARMA 2 ! - Zombie AI still sucks - Why can't you still not run (or move fast) on stairs? If this build took about one year, a working and playable alpha can't be expected until 2014. (Also i see(!) no improvement over the E3 build)

  12. I am quite sure you won't get 50 FPS constantly ... it's no secret that the performance of dayz sucks, just ask around .. i din't make that up. My problem is that i like this game too much to stop playing it. And when i am reading that after 8 month of development zombie AI still is done "0%" it makes we sad and in my opinion shows that the dev-team isn't prioritizing right.
  13. yay, colors ... :rolleyes: i would be more than happy if i got 40 - 60 fps in every situation or place, but the truth is that it drops down to 15 - 30 fps in a lot of places and with all the zombies. everyone can tell you that the programming / performance of ARMA 2 sucks (and that has nothing to do with your personal computer). And my fear is that it will be the same with the SA when i am looking at rockets videos ... where he refuses to turn of all the post processing :rolleyes:
  14. if i look at all the recent videos i can't see a real improvment compared to the mod ... why else would rocket suggest a completely new zombie AI just now? ( because even he isn't satisfied?! ) and i bet the performance still sucks and we get like 20 - 40 fps tops.
  15. Let me translate that for you: we will never finish the SA. Common, get your fu##ing priorities straight: Everything that didn't work in the mod FIRST (zombies, inventory, ...) the rest LATER. Your working on the SA for what now, about 8 month? And NOW your thinking about a new zombie AI? Fuck that. Common Bohemia, there's money to be made with DayZ, buy yourself some capable programmers!

  17. somehow i doubt that they have a 100% fixed plan what to implement before release. To me it makes more sense to do the important things (which realy have to be in the game) at the beginning. If it turns out that for some reason parts of the crafting system or gun models aren't perfect and that it would take another few month to finish those, they still could release the alpha (because they already said they would add features over time). But if they do zombies last - while everything elese is finished - and they encounter some problems .... well, what then? DayZ (mod) is already a great game the way it is now and i guess most people wouldn't have a problem playing the Alpha-SA the way how the mod is now, if it would be free of bugs, shitty zeds and cheaters and also knowing that all the new features will come over time. - But that might just be my opinion.
  18. don't play dumb man ... Zed behavior should be one of the key aspects of making this game and should have higher priority than all the other (cool) features that rocket is implementing. We can live with an alpha that doesn't allow us to write stuff on our gear to confuse other people, but we can't live with an alpha with shitty zombie behavior.

  20. DayZ is kind of a zombie-game, right? So why add so many other things to this game before fixing one of the main problems: the zombie behavior (pathfinding, clipping, animations and so on) ?
  21. 1) Way too much muzzle flash ... just look up some youtube videos, you can barely see any muzzle flashes at daytime. 2) It doens't make that much sense to find a M4 without handguard or buttstock and it is also quite unlikely to find some spare handguards or buttstocks laying around. Also how do you take advantage of those items in game? i know which rail-system or stock i prefere in real life .. but those items mostly are for a better handling or some other advantages which you can't really integrate in a computer game. that's why i don't see the point. Also for changing some items you need tools and you can't just put any buttstock on a regular M4 ... there are so many details with modding your real life AR-15, maybe dayz should keep it a little bit more simple.
  22. lol, they must be such a big help ... just look how great ARMA 2 & 3 turned out :rolleyes: It's just sad that a great game like DayZ can't reach it's full potentical because of Bohemia and their lack of good programmers.
  23. DayZ is a game with so much potential and it has such a great concept ... but it seems Bohemia is just lacking good programmers. There should be (should have been) enough money in the standalone to hire some more and better staff.
