Military type buildings. That means airfields, fire stations, and military tents. There are 3 airfields, you can check a map for those, I reccomended looting the Balota airfield first. Firestations are in pretty much every town, they are the concrete buildings with the large tower. The military tents are in Cherno and there is a large area of the tents in stary I believe. And dearstands, they are the small wooden towers around the wilderness. Also crashed helis which are really rare. You've got to keep in mind all of the really good stuff has a rare spawn rate. You sure youve got the newest beta patch 93965 which is what the servers are running and not 93825 which is the previous build? It gets updated every now and then.

You didnt just buy dayz, you bought ArmA one of the best milsims out there. Everyone is right, it is an alpha and problems will be fixed it just takes time. Defenitly keep an eye on this mod. In the mean time you could check out all of the other really great ArmA 2 mods, dayz isn't the only one. You may also want to look up some dayz tutorials on youtube, there are some good ones.
