Must be something to do with free look I'm messing with then :D And I'll try and find a nice server to rest on for the time being, with with no restrictions on murder as bandits add to to thrill, I joined one earlier which had a rule of no murdering so I left immediately as I want some risk in my play :) EDIT: About the difficulty on various servers - What does that actually effect, just the damage the zombies inflict?
-
I've cutsomized my controls and alt is my toggle run/walk but it was fine, just randomly happened two times and got me killed by a zombie. Do you know the name of the command that's causing it by any chance so I can unmap it? Yeah, I joined one and couldn't find anything at all, constant wilderness. Which servers are recommended for new players with the default map?
-
How come there are different maps, I thought you could log into a server, log out, and log into another at the same spot, but ones I joined say custom map so how would that work? Secondly, I little problem I've had twice now, my character seems to get stuck facing a certain direction and I can't freely move him around any more, like he's locked onto something, very annoying lol?

Quick question, I opted to download the mod through Steam but when I see the server list I can't join any, saying at the bottom in red I require a higher version of something. And which are the best servers to join, they all seem to have different difficulties and custom settings :)

Yeah, I ended up going for Arma II Complete, was £8 more for the extra DLC's and those better skin textures for DayZ so it's alright for £25. If I like Arma II I'll sure buy III :D
-
Ah, I see it :) I'll have to have a ponder as Arma II Complete is £24.99 while the supporter addition of Arma III is £60.76. I suppose that's because of all the extra artwork and stuff. Might be better to see If I like Arma II before buying the third, as it is a £35 difference :)

Where? It's not on the Steam store at the moment :)

Is the steam store only down in the UK/Europe right now? I can access the US version but I'm getting a 404 Not Found without a proxy? Bah, it's working again now :D
-
Ah, so just graphical quality then? I like my visuals so it may be worth the little extra for that if that's the case :)

The store is down at the moment, but when I viewed it, there was a version of Arma 2 which I believe contained all of the DLC's for a bit more money. I think it also said for the best DayZ experience get that version over Combined Ops. Would just like to know the difference between the two when Day Z is concerned, as I'm buying it for sure, can't wait for standalone! Of course I'll play Arma as well as I like the demo I just played, but my main reason is DayZ :D
