Pay a development company to make DAYZ

Hate to tell ya, but they aren't going to just abandon all work and switch to a completely different engine because there are some qualities which might make it better according to one person.

    More Vehicles!

That's not being pessimistic, just irrational. Vehicles are a very key asset to DayZ, and to remove them completely for even the full release would be bad. Although I would not have a problem with waiting until they are in a more completed state so they are much better to drive. There wouldn't really be thousands of cars wrecked along the streets. Maybe quite a lot, but Chernarus is a poorer region and also not very highly populated; most of the vehicles would be in the towns and that wouldn't be more than even a couple hundred for somewhere like Cherno or Elektro, and maybe the odd pickup/tractor for a farm.

    Squad Member Waypoints

I disagree with 'waypoints' themselves but something that you could identify eachother with would be cool, like certain colored clothing or painted weapons, that you'd have to find but it would make it easier to discern someone. In real life, you're not going to recognize someone else from 500+ meters without some identifier because there's no waypoint to them in reality.

Class Warfare (A Case For Classes)

Yeah, it's quite disappointing how easy it is for new players to do anything. I quite frankly want the SA to be a new experience for everyone, even the veterans should have a very hard time. The new players should really learn the hard way not to do things that they don't really know how to in real life, I.E. the skills you know in real life should be your chance of survival in DayZ, not a magic-found ability to hit a target from 500 meters away or easily maneuver a chopper like how people walk in real life. New players get it way too easy.

give us what we (do not) need! - junk and unique loot

This post reminded me an awful lot to Fallout just based on the specific items and mechanics.
  6. I don't know, the M14 is still a beast rifle. I actually really dislike the DMR, mainly because I'm not a huge sniping fanatic, but then again, the DMR is really just a heavily-modified M14 anyway. It's probably my favorite weapon in the game, I really hope the M-14 stays (Albeit with the new attachment system, it could work much better with regular iron sights or the like instead of just the lackluster aimpoint that was made a requirement in Arrowhead.) And, as been said before, most of this is going to be implemented or has been discussed as a possibility in the future. I think the biggest thing I agree with is the storage idea. I wish it were possible for there to be a better mechanic, instead of just slots, it could fit as much that was in a certain space, but coding something like that would be extremely difficult (You'd need the volume, length, width and flexibility of the object, as well as the same values for every object inside the container, and calculating when or when not you could add certain items.) It sucks that good ideas can't always be implemented.

More realistic animations. [Details in topic]

I think it's been discussed that there will be smoother and better animations, as well as more for different actions in the Standalone, similar to Arma 3. And if you're running with a gun, you actually can see it if you just look down in the first-person free look mode. If you're sprinting, you can actually see it, and this is actually more realistic than if it were always directly in your face.

Zombie abductions for science + emergency food drops

I don't think a forced story is the best IMO. Of course there could be a backstory as to how the infection began, but it should be mostly unanimous and left to the player to decide on what they think created it. In a 'sandbox' survival horror the whole idea is that the players create the story, even the background pretense for the most part. The only information that must be placed is that there is a zombie apocalypse, it takes place in said location and you as well as anyone else playing are the survivors. Now onto specific parts of your post; It's an interesting proposal, wondering whether someone else out there is still operating on full-government scale to try and halt this plague. The problem is that, the open-bordered Chernarus clearly is not the only place that would be infected, and it's most likely that any other surviving countries would be more intent on doing it close to home. It's already like this. I'd be much more afraid of players flying around in a chopper with the search light on, they have more choices at the current situation as well as the fact that players in general are more desirable for a realistic scenario than AI (For obvious reasons.). I think the 'tense atmosphere' aspect gets a little overused during many suggestions, because creating fear in someone isn't necessarily making the game better. It's quite apparent that there will NOT be AI (It's been refuted plenty of times by the devs and a large group of players who do not want AI, including myself.), so suggesting that AI even be included is out of the question. The second problem with this is that, even if they are made to super-accurate skills to realistic standards, the force will probably have many 'end-game' weapons and equipment. Coupled with the fact that the AI are either too easy to kill just on coding restrictions, or way too difficult because of unrealistic added measures, it wouldn't even work and you'd have a lot more players who are simply out of range of the spec-ops with their new CZ-550 sniping them and getting hold of advanced weaponry. 'Limiting time on the ground' wouldn't really make a difference to the player base. It's not that the AI become annoying (Well, they do, but that's not the main idea.) The main idea is that AI remove the sense of abandonment and desperation, as well as create distance between players that ruins the whole reasoning behind adding them. The idea of 'secret codes' to broadcast out seems too gimicky, and adding 'deciphering' doesn't make it better. It would be a very tedious task to 'decipher' and besides that, it's not very realistic that the government would just hide 'codes' for a supply drop around. They would plan out certain supply drops and do them on their own decisions, leaving the supplies for people to find. That, or they would leave it up to military officials at bases to call in supplies as needed, but it's obvious that the Chernarus bases are overrun and the governments aren't sending planes out for dead people. Already dropped supplies or crashed supply planes could be cool, or maybe operational planes that could be used by PLAYERS to airdrop things would be interesting, but nothing like this.

.50s gone? Add the Lapua! (with 2 changes)

Just add these in and make the .50s (nearly) impossible to find. There's no reason they should be completely impossible and removed (at least in the SA) but the chance of finding one should only have a 0.00000000000000001% of existing. Meaning that even if every person on Earth played DayZ, the sniper rifle would be as close to impossible as possible to find.

Will Sniper Rifles be nerfed in the standalone?

Every post I see you make makes me feel absolutely stupid because you know 10x more than I do on any topic. (EDIT: 10x + 1 because 10 x 0 is still 0)

We Need New Maps - Seattle

Possibly, but the ground textures on the actual map are so badly done (Mainly because it's from TOH where the idea is that you're in the helicopters). Also, the loadouts would need to be re-config'd for a more American setup. But, minding both of those, I'd be all in, especially if they made it an official map and created interiors for the buildings.
  14. As long as I can have a 'Hello, My Name Is: 'Richard Nixon' name tag, I'm all in.

    DayZ Standalone, Freelook, Third Person

It's not really making it more interesting. And of course, you're right; there is a point in which even a democratic opinion is obsolete solely on the fact that someone HAS to do something that not everyone agrees with. It's not an essential feature that is an absolute requirement to play the game, but the general consensus of players seems to be that it's fun. Also, in many RTS-games, it is an option to have fog of war. Forcing first-person on a character is not a simple; 'yes' or 'no' debate, the devs would have to think it over quite a lot. As long as it's optional, I'm all for it. Just my two cents. But who am I to decide what we should do, I agree with you; Let game designers design games.

    M1911(s)

In my eyes, more weapon variety is a good thing. But still, M1911s like the Winchester should just be rare guns only implemented for variety. I mean, it's completely possible that someone in Chernarus might own one, but I think the fact that even with the 1911 and winchester being so common in the mod, it'd be more realistic that only one or two at most would spawn, that way someone who finds one would treasure it more. Giving more of an emphasis to take weapons like it, similar to the military weapons in the mod; you've found a weapon which likely will not spawn anywhere else on the server, ammo is scarce but it's got its' own useful traits. Take it or leave it? That said, assuming the US military had some role pre-outbreak, 1911s wouldn't be as rare as one or two considering the US still uses them to some extent.

    DayZ SA: Endgame content

DayZ Fortress 2? Hell yeah, as long as I can build sentry guns to defend my campsite. Otherwise, no.

    Winchester 1866

I disagree, it's actually much more intense knowing that you are in constant danger and somewhere 'safe' may not be safe at all. While the AS50 it self should be gone, I'm still for weapons like the DMR, M107, M24 etc (Albeit super-rare) and weapons like the SVD and CZ-550 to be more common snipers than the rest.

If I had a dollar for every time someone suggested changing the communication; Bill Gates' wealth would not compare to mine.

Take out all the snipers except for 1

I disagree on removing the M107 assuming a western incursion actually occurred in the timeline. However, the AS50 should be gone and the M107 should be so picturesque rare that chances are it won't even spawn on 80% of the servers between restarts. Anti-Materiel should still be a factor considered (Especially with weapons like the KSVK) but I think the M107 could still remain as a super-endgame weapon.

    self blooding

When I saw this thread at first I assumed it was a thread about making being an emo a feature in DayZ.
  22. Yes, another stupid weapons thread that's probably going to be locked by the mods. Besides that; Do it devs, out of sheer badassery and for good ol' Arnold. Extra weapon notes: Can be fired from motorcycles Automatically gives wearer a sexy leather bike jacket Can use Double Akimbo attachment if you pay $300 COD points.

    Model 1887 with flip-cock animations.

Well, this type of thread very well suits me, then.
  24. Jesus, when people get in to arguments over things like this which have already been said to not be implemented. This is obviously subjected to change, but I doubt that 'leveling up' with a UI makes any sense at all. As stated before, any improvements should be subtle. For example; using a scoped weapon consistently that at first you might have not been able to hold steady, you've improved on your skills. That COULD work, were it implemented correctly. As for the OP, I'm going to have to say no.
