Glad to see people interested, I should of thought of that, steam name haha, well it was late when I typed the above, up, I'll edit the first post to ask for steam id. Though if any one has a suggestion for the group's name, please feel free to suggest, once we have a name, I will create a steam group and begin to invite players to it. Well for now actually I'll create a simple group, just until we decide on a better name ^^ Indeed it is, that'll be the hardest thing for this group to do, tell bandit from friendly/normal player, I don't expect us to be perfect on this, simply because its just not possible with the way the mod/game is setup, so all I expect the group to do is there best and if they make a mistake, that they'll fix it simple enough.

I am a brand new player or will be, tomorrow I plan to get the needed games to install DayZ but looking through the forums, it has me worried, a friend pointed this mod out to me and before that I had not even heard of Amra, what got me interested in this game was the zombies, the looting and just surviving, I got a hint of the ridiculous death matching in a first look video on youtube but now that I see the forums are filled with people pointing out the needless/pointless deathmatching, it has me worried, now its not going to stop me from trying this mod out but its very possible to cause me to stop playing this mod quickly, I just wanted to give my opinion, as someone new and outside looking in, I for one plan on joining with no intention of hunting down other players for there items and infact I plan to group and help those that I can, I'm not interested in this mods death matching-ness and will never be interested in it but understand, this is the internet, its filled with immature people who loose the sight of a game, to have fun, not just by your self or friends you already know but other people that you've never met and not to just get the best items and attempt to be the best but what ever, every one has their view on what's fun, those that enjoy ruining games for others and those that try to enjoy the game for what it is. From what I gathered from the videos and reviews I've seen, DayZ is not a deathmatch mod/game but is turning into one, after reading countless posts, that's what it seems to be turning into, I hope I'm just reading old posts and its not that bad but wouldn't be surprised if it is and will attempt to deal with it.

Well I hope the PvP ness lightens up, I'm getting Amra 2 and the dlc so that I can play this mod for the first time or at least be able to find a server that has rules if not guide lines players have to follow to keep playing on the server, a friend pointed this mod out for me today, I had not heard about Amra 2 or 1 in the first place and now this mod has me wanting to buy amra 2 and the dlc so that I can play this mod, hell, I'll probably never play amra 2 un-modded but if I'm walking into a Death match game, I fear I might not play this mod for very long, I know I could get over getting killed a lot and or often, so long as my first go does not find at least a couple friendly players. So cross my fingers and hope for the best.

So a friend told be about DayZ mod and I looked up some vids and got very interested, the friend said you can get Arma 2 for free and I did but a video I watched said you needed arrowhead as well, is there a way to get that too for free or do you have to buy the combo pack from steam or from where ever, I've very interested in this mod but not if I have to buy a whole game heh.

Ah, well that sucks, though from what I gather this mod as a lot of trolls, most players won't even give you the option of give your items and I'll let you live, they just out right kill you for your items with out saying a word.
