Ah yes, the private hives. I've got a great story about "abusive" admins. You do not have to read, nor do I expect any feedback, but to supply you my story of some an example of "abusive admins" I supplied a quick overview of the story if you're just here for the quick lolz and stuff. Look for OVERVIEW. One day, on a day when it was transitioning to Spring, and I came back from school, tired and such... I joined one of my dedicated servers, where I would join and run around with my DMR, looking for bandits, and people who seem to be a threat to the population of the bambi's. Now I as I joined the servers, a couple of people who I knew was just survivors who are just playing, and doing anything to live, was troubled and complained of abusive behavior by a group of people. They were complaining against a group of 3, all admins, who were flying in a helicopter, shooting them, or picking them up, and dropping them off in a random forest, shooting their legs, and leave them helplessly with all their stuff taken, with broken legs. Boy, I would never expect such behavior of an admin would be doing that, so I believe it was just some person raging over the fact he died by an admin playing the game and just making a false story to make him look bad. I assumed that the admins were clearly a group of regular ole' bandits doing some honest killing and pillaging. Until I became a victim to abusive admins and that day I was banned from that server for an UNREASONABLE assumption that I hacked (I will get into this subject later). After 5 mins of joining the server, about 5 out of the 16 active players were repeating dying and complaining. I was quite worried for the fact that maybe something odd is going around about. So I played cool and hid near the pine trees east of Balota, and do some recon upon the situation. I ask the complaining bambi's what was happening, and what was their story, and all the results came in like this. (all names will be replaced with fictional names to protect the identity of the victims (the derps) and the culprits (the admins)) Derp#1: "dont trust Admin#1! he pick me up in there heli and brang me to a forest, shoot me, nocked me out, took my stuff and left me!" Derp#2: "just dont trust them man they asked me where to pick me up and i told them my coordinates and they shot me with their heli." Derp#3: "OMG, REALY? U SHOOT ME? IM GONNA ASK THE ADMNIS TO BAN U!!!!!!" Derp#1: "can anbody come to me and kill me? they left me with brokken legs and i cant kill myself" From the people who responded to me, and some people who kept spamming on about being abusive, I was cautious of what's happening. Immediatly after thinking over all these sources from these players, I was thinking of being a hero of the day and maybe shoot the pilot down as they pick of people from the beaches of Cherno. I spent about 20min in the trees until I heard the helicopter blades slicing through the air, and a UH-1H hovering to west, in Cherno. Here I laid under a tree, looking through my DMR scope, hearing the constant rapid firing of a mounted machine gun, and the muzzle fire flash from the helicopter, to see the terrors of the admins wreaking havoc upon those defenseless bambi's in Cherno. about 8 names were reported in the chat, of players getting killed. This was just plain outrageous from my viewpoint on how the staff of the server treats bambi's and unlucky veterns by farming them as the victims respawn, expecting death row from the ruthless staff. One of the admins, knowing me as an average, dedicated player who is known for killing some the bandits, asked me this oblivious question "Hey, do you need a ride?" In my mind, I logically knew this was a setup, and to make me one of their cattles to add to their players killed count on their current bandit high life. I chose to act like an idiotic, derpenstein and said "Yes". I was soon responded with the question "where do you want us to pick you up?" and lied I was in the Northwest Airfield (NWAF). As they made their trip there, I told them, I was in the firestation and if I see any weird behavior, I would shoot my M16A2 M203 grenade launcher at their helicopter, if I was fire upon, or use my AS50 /w AS50 NATO rounds to knock out their engine/and or propellor, causing them to fall to their deaths if not wise enough to parachute. The admin responded with such confidence and said "Alright, I'm here where are you?" Now this was such a weird behavior, from what I see, because usually you would expect with someone capable of carrying such firepower to knock them out of the skies to be a threat, and be a little more cautious than the average bear. I would of expected him to say, "Chill broski, just relax, we just need another member," or "Alright, so be it, Mr. Aggresso, I might as well go away and get myself an expresso." (Getting back to the story...) I then lied and then said "Wait did I say NWAF? I mean Balota Airport lolz." From this point I was getting a little shaky as I was getting over myself and not just told them where I was at currently, but endangering myself too. As they made a minute trek to Balota, I questioned them why do you need another person to travel among them, not mentioning anything to do with their relentless kill streak of fresh meat and players. The admin said "We just need a 5th person along with us that's all." I asked them "Well don't you have three admins, including yourself, with you in your helicopter?". He responded with a suspicious tone like this "We just need a... (cuts off here and responds again with hesitation) a 4th person to come with us that's all :)" I laughed at this point on how ridiculous and easily read like a book this man can be. He was obviously on a strange path of saying he needs a 5th person, then says 4th person, when he could of corrected himself on the first time. Plus, with the hesitation as he spoke, and with the reports of a helicopter chopping people down, this is was all part of their perilous scheme. Finally, "Black Death" flies over me (I was carrying a DMR and wearing a Ghillie suit) while I was laying in the pine tree that I was confidently assured that no one could find me in this pine tree. I quickly spoke "Wait did this isn't Balota, it's the town southeast of Berezino, called Niz something." They responded "You sure?" And I was a bit frightened, because maybe with some luck, they found me, while flying over, but I knew that was a low chance because I wasn't actually in Balota, I'm just on the hill of the forest to the east of Balota, hiding in one of the pine trees that are crowded on the outskirts of the forest. I spoke once more and said "Yes, I am sure that's where I am." So I hear the helicopter move away, but soon, as I was confident they were leaving me, I heard in the distant, that the helicopter stopped, like the sound of the helicopter hovering wouldn't go away. After 3 mins of pause, and suspense, they move away, and I was relieved. UNTIL I hear the the foot steps of a man running, and the panting of a man. I was shocked and felt paralyzed. I was too late, one of the admins found me and shot me instantly as if he knew where I was the whole time. From this, I was in such confusion of how he could find me when I was wearing my ghillie suit, laying low under any generic pine tree in a patch of pine trees. I respawn and I spawned with some starter gear that I didn't realize they supplied to new spawners. A M9 SD with 3 mags of M9 SD was part of the starter gear that I didn't recognize, when I first joined. With a gun that is prior to sublety taking down zombies or other players, I made an attempt and try to make a redemption for my death. I told the tyrant admins I was killed by a random survivor, and asked if they could pick me up at Kamenka (where I spawned). As their goal was to kill anybody, they responded yes, and head to my location. I hid in one of the pine trees and brush that was somewhat in the middle of the little patch of pine trees, and waited there for my executioners. I saw the UH-1H, and soon 2 players dropped out of the heli, and parachuted down into Kamenka. The helicopter hovered over the beach west of Kamenka, and the 2 players were in Kamenka, possibly ransacking everywhere in Kamenka looking for me. If I were to run, either the heli or the admins on the ground would of seen me run away, since I was stuck between them. Soon, somehow the admins on the ground find me and I ran, hiding behind some tree and shrubery. I was on hot pursuit, and discovered with my attempt from running from my reapers, that both were bandits with a DMR and an AS50. I shot some bullets into the bandit admin with the AS50 into his legs, breaking his legs, but I was immediately silenced by DMR rounds to the head. Here I faced the "You are dead" screen, and with a bit of frustration built up, I was determined to get somewhat a revenge upon these abusive admins. I spawn again, but this time east of Cherno, in the bay area, just south of Prigorodki on the beach. All of the sudden I hear a helicopter coming, so I ran to a hill with some shrubery across the main road that runs along the beaches of Chernarus and laid in the bushes. Here I see a bus that I recognized, back when I saw him pass by as I was hiding in the pine tree near Balota Airport. He seemed to be running in fear from the helicopter. Man I felt bad for this kid. As I watched him put the pedal to the metal with a UH-1H with a mounted gunner on his tail, he turns evidently into Prigorodki and crashes into one of the wreckage of the cars that were part of the map. I didn't notice, but he also had a passenger with him (lol it was Derp#3). So the bus driver and Derp#3 ran, and then Mr. DMR admin drops out of the UH-1H and parachutes down. He lands and quickly fires a burst of bullets into Derp#3 and knocks him out cold, but not dead. Then Mr. DMR runs after the bus driver and from what I envisioned of what happened behind the concrete wall, he must of cornered the generic bus driver in blue and shot him down as if the bus driver was lined up blindfolded on wall, and Mr. DMR with his bandit clothing and mask, put him down with so many rounds, it was just an overkill. Now from there, I see Mr. DMR run back to Derp#3, probably deprived of hope, and gave him the spa treatment of a T-bag to his mouth. After finishing up with his perverted ways, he shot him DEAD. The helicopter conveniently left as all this happened, probably to refuel or to drop off their goodies from farming their victims, probably confident that Mr. DMR would not be rudely interrupted in his hunt of the these 2 innocent players. With relief, of only one person as a threat, I sneaked up behind the concrete walls, and watched over the walls what was happening. Mr. DMR, went to loot some of their bodies, probably to eat the steak they spawned with to recover his blood. As he went to bus driver's body, he search his body, and this was the moment I had to bring justice. I held the letter E, to lean over to the right, and pop my head out of the side of the concrete wall, and went to line up the shoot. Luckily he went to go into bandaging himself, and I popped shots with my M9 SD into his legs. I unloaded about half a clip and he broke his legs, and he was knocked out for 2 second. If I was in his shoes in that moment, I would of been scared shitless as he was overpowered by a man with a M9 SD, in about a 5 seconds. When he woke from his unconsciousness, he starts crawling away, and I went in for the kill. As he turned around, trying to fight back, in hoping to live, I released the rest of the clip into his upper area region, hitting his shoulders, arms, upper torso, and his head. There, Mr. DMR admin laid dead in front of me. Happy of my revenge, I quickly looted his Coyote Backpack, DMR, and some other gear he had on him. I checked on the bus, and it turned out it was still in operational condition and so I drove off away from the scene. Confident, yet with overwhelming pride blinding me, I foolishly told the the bus driver and Derp#3 that I saw what happen and was able to kill the person who killed them. They responded with some content, and praised me. That's when the other 2 admins saw what I did, and accused me for they think "hacking". OBVIOUSLY I legitly killed him with a weapon supplied by the admins for starter gear, a M9 SD. Mr. DMR admin saw me pop my head out to take out his legs which took half of a clip of M9 SD rounds, and he had a good 20 seconds to admire me as I brought justice to the server. But as I would of expected, with such ignorance, the admin just plain assumed and said "You hacked by giving yourself gear and killed our admin." like 3 minutes after I killed him and the realization of what I did. With the last smirk, the admin with the AS50 told me "You're gonna get banned :)" Then that's when I get kicked, and banned... OVERVIEW: A group of 3 admins on my used to be dedicated server was being total dicks and just kill fresh spawned people and people they find with their UH-1H and snipers. I was killed by them with all gear from the beginning, and I found revenge when I found one of the admins finishing some noobs as the other 2 flew away in the heli to do some other errands. I killed the admin, took his gear, told the victims that was killed by him, I avenged them, and I was banned by the other 2 admins for "hacking" by spawning gear for myself right after I died and killing the admin. Total bullshit, I just happened to spawn in Prigorodki where it all happened, and with the starter M9 SD, I ambushed the admin, and killed him. By Vecagon My Moral of the Story: Well, in my perspective, is even though staff has power over the server, not all are great admins and can be just as corrupt as anybody else other than an admin can be, nor do they have the right attitude and morals to be come a fair admin. Just do what you think is best, and if you are going to kill a player in Dayz, make sure if you are okay with the consequences of killing the player in Dayz (THIS DOESN'T APPLY TO REAL LIFE, DON'T KILL PEOPLE) The Universal Moral of the Story: 1. Not anyone can be the perfect person/staff/admin/etc. Just be aware there can be people making bad choices, letting troubles cloud them of being right and just, being ignorant, or just plain wrong. 2. Don't be the dick out of the crowd ^^^ (unless you're playing as a bandit in Dayz or anything related. TOTALLY acceptable) 3. Even you are prone to be like corrupt, ignorant, make bad choices, putting anger into other things, etc. sometimes.
