Well, yeah, I understand that THEY already know things THEY put in the game. But WE don't. There's no reason why WE cant test ranges and target size in scope/accuracy etc. in order to find out for ourselves, AS WELL as testing/bug hunting/bug replication etc. As an added benefit, any new bugs we find we can warn the community about (stay away from the south wall of THIS office building in this location, on the second floor by the stairwell. There is no clipping, and you will pass through it to fall to your death). Any old bugs/glitches can be tested and replicated/confirmed.

Can a forum moderator please come and answer a few questions? EDIT: forum mode already did... I am really serious about this. Ive been wanting to test and experiment for some time, but doing it on a public server presents some problems, I.E. the constant risk of another player "testing" his moisin on me.

It is in conflict, I wont deny. But don't take that as a hint that I want to do this just to lure people in and kill them. That's my attitude when PLAYING. I have been wanting to actually test things out, and have, to some extent, but am concerned about people killing me while I'm on my way to a certain building to find out if I can clip through the walls. EVERY player I have encountered in game is PLAYING the game. Usually running from the coast to the nearest milspec loot spawn. I think this would be a great idea, if enough people in the community here in the forums are willing to participate. Do we have password protected servers yet? That alone would keep out anyone who joins up and gets mad because they get kicked when they kill someone, which would prevent anyone from reporting the server in the first place. This is an HONEST attempt to build a dedicated testing and experimentation initiative for us, the community, who want to make the game better, instead of trying to do it on a public server where anyone can kill us while honestly trying to test/experiment/learn/explore. Just one server, out of hundreds, where player killing is limited to testing and only with consent. Is that so bad?

LOL. Now I want to try this... One of my Marine buddies in Okinawa, Chaffin, hated that noise. Said it scared him. So one night, at the barracks, I see him leave his room to smoke, or something. So I snuck in and crawled under his bed. He came back in and climbed into bed, watching TV before going to sleep. I waited a few minutes. Made that noise, real quite, for just a second. heard him sit up in bed, then lay back down. A few moments later, did it again, quitter. Heard him move again. A few moments more, and he lay down. Then I did it a third time, long and loud. He lept out of bed, ran to the wall, and proceeded to turn all the room and bathroom lights on. While he stood there, I kept quite. After a few more moments, I did it one last time, and he yelled "WHAT THE FUCK!?!", dropping to the floor, he looks RIGHT at me and my shit eating grin. "Get the FUCK out of my room Morse!" Ah....good times...

Your actually probably pretty safe there. Even if someone does show up, there are plenty of places to wait in ambush, with plenty of good angles of fire, and lots of thick cover all around for a hasty retreat if things go badly. And yeah, that little "fort" is about as far from the coast as you can get and still find good loot.

OP is at Bashnya. Small barracks compound surround by a wall, with 2 small shack buildings, one two story barracks building w/jail cell, a well, and a dear stand just outside. Its located at the top of a hill just north of the tent compound at the NWAF... Been there many times myself. I find it is rarely looted. Never encountered another player there myself.

Teleported to the ocean by some hacker **** and now my char wont die..

I STILL say that needs to be an in-game hand gesture.... -
Teleported to the ocean by some hacker **** and now my char wont die..
crazykage replied to Stylesz_Live's topic in General Discussion
Its quite simple. You are using an exploit that does not exist within the game itself. If there was a live broadcast IN GAME (say you had a radio, and were listening in on the conversation of two other players, and used that information to figure out where they were, and what they were doing, that would be a different story). The live stream is not an in game feature placed there by the devs. You are gaining information in a manner in which your opponent cannot also do. I have yet to see anyone explain how this is ANY different from ESP/radar/wall hacks, minus the lack of an actual script. I have yet to see anyone explain how this is anything other than malicious trolling. Why do people feel the need to do this? Why do people feel the need to screw with streamers? -

isn't the rubber banding/teleport bug and getting dropped 2 miles out into the ocean two separate things? EVERY time I have been hit by the BUG, I have snapped back to a place I was several minutes ago, usually after sprinting all out in one direction. In EVERY instance, I was teleported back to a place I was previously, in addition to not being able to move or press ESC, being forced to CTRL ALT DELETE out of the game. Whereas these ocean teleports are people being sent out into the ocean, so far out that they cant see the coast (not somewhere anyone would have been to previously), and are still able to move, swim, and press ESC. Frankly, I think that the ocean teleport is a script kiddie teleporting people for the lulz. -

just how many of these experimental servers are available to the public anyway? 1 or 2? I don't even want to bother with the experimental build if I'm just going to wait for hours before even having a chance to get into the server. -
I have worn a Kevlar helmet before, AND taken a blow to the head (an accident, for which my junior marine paid for with 100s of pushups. Afterall, if you aren't going to be smart, your going to be strong). It was a solid hit, and may have split my head open had I not been wearing it. yet it did little more than stun me for a moment. it rattled me a bit, but I was fine immediately after. And as for punching??? I dare you. Go ahead and punch a Kevlar helmet with your bare hands, with enough force to knock out an unprotected person. Go on.....while your doing that, ill go get my car keys. Your gonna need a ride to the hospital for that broken hand. If the helmet had no cammo cover on it, you will probably have some nasty lacerations too...

how is what you are saying any different? Do you have a personal rule, establishing that players walk a minimum of 100 feet after spawning before you shoot them?
-
No. What it is, is BULLSHIT. Im all for pvp. Im all for KoS. But killing a player the moment he appears in game, before he even has a chance to grab any items, is greifing.

crazykage replied to Rōnin Rick's topic in General Discussion
Wait, so our characters can now gain weight, and eventually develop diabetes? Damn....this is a little too realistic for me. next thing you know our characters will develop horder's syndrome if we collect too much stuff... -
"bambambam"? Do zombies shoot guns now? But seriously, I've also seen zombies that were just standing there, constantly swinging their arms at the same spot, hitting empty air. Walked up to one, and whacked it with my pipe wrench (handt found an axe yet) 15 times. Not once did it turn to attack me. Just kept right on swiping at the empty air in front of it...

Killed by Invisible Squad in Electro

NICE fucking shot, dude. Beans. -
1. No. And the fact that you call it a "trainer" makes me suspicious. Mostly only hackers that use these programs call them "TRAINERS'. 2. your game files, and steam id. that's it as far as I know. 3. Those frequent kicks you are seeing are probably battleye kicking players whose clients are not responding. They can easily join right back up. I see this frequently. Have yet to see a hack kick or an actual hacker. 4. All correct, except for the part about the justification... 5. Battleye will not kick you because you clipped through a wall. It will kick you for running scripts or software that changes the game. I am suspicious, OP. It is a known fact that the people who sell these "hacks" encourage their users (via their website forums) to get on the game's forums and complain about "mass erroneous bans", or generally foment doubt in the program/people responsible for the kicks.

yeah. I figured as much. Sorry man, im just such a smartass tonight. don't know why.
