OP, if you can, try to learn something from this experience: When you travel with a large group of people, you become very high profile. Sneaking becomes irrelevant. THAT is why you got shot. Not because some ASSHOLE saw you and personally wanted to FUCK your day in the ass by killing you and ruining your fun. You died because another player finds killing other players fun, and YOU made it easy for him (one reason why I lone wolf it). And when you come to the forum to bitch about it, you WILL get trolled. Not because we don't take you seriously. There IS too much KOSing right now, since there isn't a lot to do endgame wise. But that will change. And we all have seen WAY TOO MANY kos complaint threads. So what winds up happening to you is that instead of explaining our positions to you and engaging in constructive debate and saying the SAME thing we have said already in 20 other threads, we have a laugh at your expense.

Can anyone confirm this? I don't know if they actually work now, as I was unable to communicate with anyone, but this is what I DO know. Now, if you find and acquire a transmitter, you can "inspect it" to get a close up view and an empty description text box that simply says ".....". BUT, if you attach a 9v battery to it, and THEN right click, you get some more options that weren't there before. NOW you can choose to "turn on" the current radio frequency, followed by two options to select either "next" or "back" "XX.XX" (frequency), and of course "detach 9v battery" and "inspect". If a frequency is turned "on", you can use the <> keys to cycle between "direct communication", and "XX.XX" (whatever frequency the transmitter is tuned to). I played around with a few frequencies, typing into the chat bar a few times, but got no response. It also seems that there is a wide range of frequencies to choose from, although how many exactly, I didn't count. Does anybody know if these things actually WORK now? Can someone test this by getting on the same frequencies and trying it out? EDIT: as I have one myself, if anyone wants to, I would be willing to test it out with them. All you need is a 9v, a transmitter, and make sure we are in the same server. (im not logged in atm, but would log in again if someone wants to test this out)

Since OP already posted his, Ill go next: COWS! This game needs to implement COWS. They can be tamed, and ridden. It should of course also be possible to get milk from them, which can be collected in a cooking pot, then combined with cereal. But the best part? with a hacksaw, rope, duct tape, and fire axe, it should also be possible to harvest wood and build a catapult, which can be used to launch the cow. IE, a COWtapult. The COWtapult could be used as a sort of improvised indirect fire weapon (like a mortar or other artillery). To use it accurately, you would need a compass, map, and exact coordinates as well as the ability to calculate trajectories and wind compensation (perhaps an ingame calculator, which would require a battery at night, but during the day would have that little solar panel so yeah). If however a player was able to successfully launch a cow from the COWtapult AND hit another player, then simultaneously EVERY player in the server would be launched into the air like the giants do in skyrim.

this is, IMO, the worst idea I have seen yet. Just my opinion. But that's what I think. FIRST, you would NEVER be able to physically carry the warhead taken off a ICBM. Its too big. Second, detonation of that war head is not a simple as putting in a code. It has to drop from the atmosphere, and detonate at a predetermined altitude. THIRD, I highly doubt anyone would have the know how be able to reprogram the warhead to change its target from, oh, say New York City (or wherever a soviet missile would have been targeted too), to NWAF or Skalisty island. FOURTH, any attempt to tamper with a nuclear warhead by any person who doesn't know EXACTLY what they were doing, and knew all the codes and procedures, would permenately DISARM the device the moment they did anything to it. And lastly, its just a terrible idea all around. WORSE than the idea to add the Tac Nuke to CODMW2 multiplayer. It would effectively....just no. No. NO. The only realistic part of this idea is being near the exposed warhead would irradiate you.

Can you elaborate? is there a range limitation (most "transmitters" that look like that IRL have an effective range of about 500 yrds, and that's if there is a clear line of sight)? Do they work with verbal comms (headset and mike) Or do they only work with the chatbar?

do you also have a spare 9v for it? What about a head set? I also want to see if it works for verbal comms, or if it only works with the chat bar

I have found fresh spawns on some high pop servers that were just standing there, bleeding. Attempts to walk up and communicate yield no response. The character model continues to bleed, seemingly indeffinately, while the characters head periodically looks around, up, down, left right, etc. Attacking the players with mele weapons does damage, causing more blood sprays to appear, but does not KILL the stationary player, even after 30 or 40 swings with a fire axe. The only change appears to be that more blood sprays keep appearing, on the character model and all around it, in the air. I have seen this several times. Its very creepy...

from my understanding, helicopters make planes look easy to pilot by comparison. But it seems most would agree that whatever the vehicle, they should require a hefty amount of effort to get operational, at the very least not being as simple as they were in the mod. I may not like them myself, but I can understand that it is one more thing to work towards, besides looting houses, killing zombies, and outfitting yourself with all the special forces gear you can find. I guess I wouldn't mind so much if they required a lot of team work and effort, gather fuel, tools, and parts. WHICH just gave me an idea: TOOL BOXES. Like storage boxes or ammo cans or medkits. Can only hold tools, but only takes up 4 inventory slots (lateraly), and has enough room inside to hold one of every tool in the game. Put together a complete tool kit (hammer, pliers, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, duct tape, maybe a few more new additions), and you have every thing you need to repair a vehicle, minus the parts!

Some pistols work like that, but not all. As far as the FNx45? I have no idea. The only pistol I own is a Sig Sauer 2022 "pro series", and it is able to fire a round in the chamber without a magazine inserted. However, chambering a round WITHOUT the magazine is somewhat tricky. *EDIT: Lack of mags for the FNx45 may be highly attributable to server hoppers.
