The attack me with their fists hoping to get a lucky knock out and easy gear up. Geared players? I have not ONCE encountered a player with a gun that did not open fire the moment he saw me. I had superior positioning, skill, luck, etc, so I won. Its that simple. Nothing personal. Not doing it to troll. Its just survival. He posed a potential threat, had food and water I needed, was heading in my direction, and was heavily armed. Further, HE took the risk of blindly running out into an open field with NO cover, into an area WITH cover and highground, all in the vicinity of a valuable loot zone. Today, he was unlucky (and cowardly). Tomorrow "I" might be the one under HIS scope, as I infiltrate an area and find him waiting in ambush. Welcome to the jungle, baby.

Belonged to a corp called Dominus Imperium, a merc corp. We got hired to put the hurt on an industry corp (by one of their rivals). Before the war dec was sent out, I told the CEO to hold off and wait. I infiltrated my indie character (at the time he was a highly trained miner with a mammoth) into their group of 50+ players. I learned EVERYTHING. Ops times, safe spot waypoints, ships and loadouts, EVERYTHING. When the war dec was sent out, I knew exactly where they were going, when, and in what force. It was a SLAUGHTER. We crushed them into DUST! Afterwards, when the group of miners found out how they had been beaten so easily (because they had been infiltrated), half of the group quit the game entirely. Nope. Totally legit, IMO.

OP; all this time, and still no server info (no, you cant look up the server IP address while logged in. look it up before joining, write it down, JOIN IT, THEN post the ip addresss). You are doing nothing but trolling and bragging. And thus far, none of your kills I have seen (if indeed they WERE yours) were brag worthy. People, He ISNT GOING TO POST THE SERVER IP! He knows that if he does, he will be challenged and probably/possibly lose. Ending his ability to brag. In a perfect world, we would have a perfect game, and in a perfect game, there would be no glitches or hacks or exploits. But we are not in a perfect world, or game, and there are. IGNORING those glitches and whatnot, honest players should follow this basic mentality: If you are not the hunter (those laying in ambush), you ARE at all other times the hunted. ANY time you are on the move, no matter how sneaky or careful or fast you are, you are the gazelle. Gazelle are numerous. They often live full lives and reproduce. But they occasionally get attacked by predators. Many times the gazelle escapes. SOMETIMES the gazelle manages a lucky shot, and plants its hoof squarely in the skull of its predator, knocking it out or even killing it. But 9 times out of 10, the gazelle gets eaten. Of course, sometimes the predator makes a mistake, and itself becomes prey for something else. You may for example, walk up on an otherwise oblivious would-be sniper, and you have at that moment transformed from the gazelle into the lion. and lions do NOT like it when another hunter is on it's turf. Any time you are on the move, you must assume the possibility that there is an ambush waiting for you up ahead. Ask the bush in front of you: "You there, leafy branchy thing. What manner of thing are you?" And the bush will answer you: "AM-bush".... EDIT: and THAT, is my new signature...

personally, I also love LMGs. I love them in arma, and I love them in BF. I DO NOT think I would love them in DayZ....

I have three words for you: Tents will allow players to store gear. Therefore, the life of the player becomes even MORE meaningless, and running out to kill the first player they find becomes less risky. So no, it wont reduce kos and encourage player interaction.

Yeah. The funny thing is that when I first logged in to position myself in berez, the first thing I heard was rain and a blast of thunder. I was thinking "daaaaaamn. NICE! this will add some atmosphere and tension to things." Oh well.

damn. Im sorry guys. Didn't mean to get ya all excited over nothing. But I don't think its going to work today... Last night I played, and had ZERO issues. In fact, the game has been running great for me for the last 2 weeks! but the INSTANT I logged in today, I could tell there was something amiss. The lag was present from the start, and only got worse and worse. Crashed the game twice. Now I cant even find a server: All the hardcore ones I join either have crippling lag, spawn me at the coast with no gear, or both. And all the servers that have 3pp on that I try to join are all laggy as well. Add to that the logout timer stacking up every time I leave a server, and this becomes an exercise in futility. I think I am going to have to postpone this for another day. Sorry guys. I actually feel a little bad about this.

Ok. yeah. This is infuriating. EVERY server I find with 3PP OFF spawns me at the coast, or has horrendous lag. The only ones I can find where I have my kit, AND don't have crippling lag are 3pp off servers. I really don't want to do this in 3pp..... what do you guys think? Add to that the log in timer, and its a recipe for "coffee mug through monitor"...

Tomorrow afternoon, I have a sneaking suspicion that Cobra Commander (my name in game), leader of the infamous COBRA terrorist group, may be spotted in the vicinity of some big city, probably Berezino. He will probably have a radio, tuned to a certain frequency, calling for help from Destro because he is lost (everyone knows Cobra Commander is incompetent. He probably read the map wrong). He will, of course, be armed to the teeth, and dangerous (but still incompetent as a leader). Any "Joes" in the vicinity might want to hunt him down and deal a crippling blow to the COBRA organization by cutting off the head of the snake, as it were. In addition, anyone able to successfully bring him down without damaging his equipment will find, at minimum (in addition to anything else I manage to find till then), the following items: SKS w/clip and ammo Sawed off w/ ammo Magnum w/ speed loader and ammo FNx45 w/ flashlight, magazine, and ammo Fire Axe, pristine TTsKO clothes, pristine Gas Mask, pristine Backpack, mountain type Ammo can w/ assorted ammo types storage box w/ food And a few other assorted items (again, in addition to whatever I manage to find till then). Keep an eye on the forums tomorrow afternoon (roughly 2pm, US eastern standard time), and I will let you know when the event starts, or if it is delayed for whatever reason (in game death, RL concerns, etc.). At that time, I will also let you know what server, and what frequency to tune your radios to. Cobra Commander is lost, and it is all Destro's fault for giving him a map written entirely in Russian Cyrillic. It will, no doubt result in some interesting and funny conversations. Of course, those able to stream and record are more than welcome. My cobra commander impression is QUITE good. Your fans will undoubtedly find it entertaining. EDIT: This will, undoubtedly, be a recurring event. After all, EVERYONE knows that Cobra Commander is ALWAYS defeated, only to return later to try again.... PS: Bring radios.
