On DayZ Mod this is not available. This is because the Hatchet for example is a weapon which is known as a main weapon. It has to be removed from toolbelt and be equipped. The hatchet for one is actually a reskinned silenced weapon with a very short range. For the S.A..... what cgSprite says.

On the other hand I do like the idea of starting with slightly different gear in different roles. But one might be too overpowered with certain items. If this is going to be done people should be very cautious where they draw the line in the gear. Perhaps only with the gear that is not useable as a weapon (snipers with bino's, spotters with a map, enigineers with a toolbox etc) for the rest everyone has to find everything....

How do you want to regulate the spawns? On how many servers you want to play this? 1 per server? what if you do more on one server and I kill the other suvivor? If hide in the bushes not moving for 2h and im a true survivor?
