    I have the same problem as OP. DayZ struggles so hard with user friendly updates... Why can't they just make an official updater? I too have uninstalled and reinstalled, copied the latest patch files into the dayz folder and no luck. The DayZ change log in my steam dayz folder is for 1.7.6.1 as of 26 Feb, but I cannot join any servers because it says I am 1.7.6-FINALISING. Frustrating to say the least, any help would be greatly appreciated.
