    Let friends spawn together

I myself would enjoy some sort of friend spawn, but please hear me out before you dismiss it. I'd be OK with non friend spawning as it is, except, you're not just factoring in the time it takes to meet up with a friend. (Which can be anywhere from five minutes, to an hour or two, depending on luck.) And that's not even including getting capped along the way by a bandit. Having to disconnect, then reconnect to respawn, to try make that run again. Then there is also the server waiting times. Not the "Waiting for connection from server." waiting times, but the "OK lets try find a server big enough for me and my IRL friends to join." "Found one" "Me too" "I'm in." "I'm in" "Jeez guys, the server is full, can we find another one?" "OK disconnecting from server" "Oh hey, I'm connecting now." "... I just disconnected" rinse and repeat mumbo jumbo. Then there are the servers getting reset infrequently, which leads to the problem stated above. I understand it's a survival game and supposed to be hard and realistic. but it's still a game, yes you wouldn't be spawning near your mates in real life. But realistically, you also wouldn't be respawning at all when you died IRL. I can understand using the random spawns to control teamed players hogging loot by respawning near the location where they died. but that's punishing the majority to stop a minority. Meet us half way: When you die, give the option for "New Respawn" (respawns you as it does now) or "Friend Respawn" Just make them respawn in a 5 to 10 km (Roughly a 5 to 10 minute direct run from your selected "Friend", that is assuming you can navigate via the landscape, if you can't then good luck you're in the same boat as before) radius in a random direction around that area. They still have to work their way back to their selected friend with no loot. It just cuts down on the mindless running that needs to be done in order to actually play DayZ with a friend. The following example and similar events happened to my team: Spending hours in a squad of three friends having finally made it to the north east airstrip from cherno (Our meeting area, we didn't spawn together, This was 4 to five hours of lots of group fun.) only to have a sniper shoot one friend insta dead, no warning. Then having the dead friend respawn on the south west side of kamenka. With the option to either: spend an hour or two running there through the mountains, or try their luck at another respawn location by suiciding over and over again (not ideal.) See it's all cool for me and the other friend who didn't get killed, we've had more experience with the game. But the friend that was killed, he was just starting out. So there was little chance he'd make it back to us by himself without dying. Which makes the game alot less fun for him. I know there is a learning curve to this game. but some players just want to have fun with their friends. While others just want to watch the world burn.

    A GODDAMN TRAIN

Personally, I quite like the idea of a dynamic train in game. I'm just going to post some of my ideas of how that would work in my eyes. idea A) Steam Engine - Uses Water & Wood - I like this idea as there is plenty of both up and down the coast, it'd just take a couple of runs to restock at each station. But I don't think a steam engine really fits in with the setting. (Too old for a modern industrial setting.) There would be an issue on how to turn the train around at end of line as it has a definite front and back, and would look silly going backwards when it reaches the end of the line. idea B) Handcar - Created with Wood and scrap metal and maybe a wheel - Also a neat little idea, requires 2 people to use, makes you thirsty and hungry over time. The problem with this one is, there is only one rail line. and if more than one "group" makes one, then what happens when they collide on the track? do they both get broken? or do they faze through each other? Either way, my feelings are "meh". Unless they can get destroyed by an oncoming train. Ala BTTF 3. idea C) Diesel Train - Uses 2(?) jerry cans of gas per engine (Two engines, one at front, other hitched at the back, goes up and down the line) + Toolbox (Repair solar panels, see below.) The problem most people are having with this is "How can a train move without power if powerstation not working?" My answer: Solar Panels on top of both engines, requires a toolbox to "fix" each panel. Fixable Solar panels + Gasoline (For all intents and purposes it's diesel fuel) = Enough for my suspension of disbelief. By using solar panels to explain it also works well with the DayZ's day/night cycle. eg: at night it requires more petrol to run as opposed to the day as solar panels wont work at night. Other then that, the only problem a train faces without a powerstation is how to switch tracks. Which in my mind's eye I can see this done 3 ways: 1.) Restore power to main switching tower, control all switches along track, change the switchs to desired configuration before power goes off again. (Lame) 2.) Manually - Stopping the train & jumping out to go and interact with the switch. (Still pretty lame) 3.) Shooting the switch to change track while standing on moving track. (Badass) The idea of being able to jump/scramble onto the train while it's moving, being able to run across the roof bandit style, to get from the back cars to the front and the ability to shoot switches to change the track appeals to me to no end. Afterthoughts: Add Bicycles & Horses If train added then I'd also want to be able to pick up a train conductor skin (Balaklava over face). Because that would be neato.
