  1. Clearly? How is it clear? I'm asking if there are any plans to get it done. I undestand implementing anything isn't a priority, what I am asking is if there is some kind of plan to go forward with and eventually implement.
  2. right, I get that. Like I said, it's a player-based issue. I know it's not a technical issue. However, this is an on-going issue that dates back to the mod. I know nothing will be done for the next patch, or even for quite a while. But any kind of inkling to some kind of plan or system would be nice.
  3. This is THE most frustrating aspect of any game I've ever played. You can spend quite a bit of time getting the advantage on people to take them out, or even when you eventually get the upper hand on a group of bandits who have attacked you, only to have it all go to waste because they ESC>QUIT and can find a save place in a new server. As one of the player-based issues, is there any thing in the works..any kind of system to stop and/or prevent combat loggers? Anything???
  4. People here say they understand what an alpha is, however they don't seem to actually understand it. The SA was released with essentially bare bones features. There aren't a lot of zombies, there isn't a lot of loot, there aren't a lot of weapons, etc.. That doesn't mean all of the stuff that's missing from the game hasn't been developed, and 18 months of development have gone to waste. A lot of the missing content, I'm sure, has been developed. The people that are hating on the SA are simply looking at the game now and are saying "that's it?" I understand you guys expected more, but there are a lot of reasons for releasing the alpha with limited content. In time it will be released and all come together. If you have no patience and don't want to take part in the development of a pretty awesome and unique game, well then, there's always Call of Duty...

How do me an my buddies spawn together

In regular DayZ, you can't. I'm not sure about any of the mods. Your best bet is to hop on Teamspeak or Vent and try to communicate to eachother where you are/where you're heading. That's what my friends and I do. We usually try to meet up at a certain location depending on where we've spawned.

    how old is your survivor?

I don't quite understand playing on only private hives in order to preserve your characters. For me, at least, the greatest appeal to Day Z is the constant threat of death. No matter where you are or what you're doing, you could be under constant watch. Every second of gameplay is tense. Every sound you hear could be a bandit trying to get a good position to take you out. I understand there are reallllllllly lame people who just play rambo/cod style, but I feel like playing on a private hive full of mostly friendly players just takes the tension out of the game. maybe I'm missing something? oh and by the way, the current character I have is only 1 day old. I literally just started playing the game this past Saturday and after a few deaths from running straight into Cherno and a couple glitched zombies, I've learned how to survive.

To those who look down on bandits/pvp...

Recently just started playing the game, and I look down on bandits because when I'm running around farms or run on the outskirts of Cherno/Elecktro with just a hatchet in my hands looking for supplies, and I get shot for no reason at all, that kills the fun of the game and turns it from a survival game to a First Person Shooter. the game isn't about racking up as many player kills as you can. it's about surviving. I understand if you need to kill to survive, then it is what it is. But when I have a survivor skin, a coyote pack and an axe, while you have an alice pack, m4 and every other piece of equipment, how do you stand to benefit from killing me?
