There's a mod over ArmAHolic named RH Pistols. It adds/reworks handguns from ArmA II. Why not port some of the handguns in DayZ? Well, leave the Raging Bull & Desert Eagle behind, but I would like the PPK and G19 in DayZ.

M4SD M9SD (Hatchet when I'm out of ammo)

I got one here. I was playing on a Private Hive and had a car, M4SD, well, pretty much everything. A bambi joins the server, and probably because he didn't ever played DayZ, asked:"Is Chernogorsk a good town?" I reply shortly:"Yes", then after a few minutes I hear the poor guy typing in SideChat:"I broke my legs, I have around 100 blood and I am scared :(". Seems like he felt off the firestation from Cherno, since he said something like a "garage with 3 doors". I finally snatch a blood bag from Elek and some morphine, patch him up, give him some beans & soda and drove him north. Well, trying to be hero is satisfying, mainly when you got TONS of Z's after you, then the guy you just helped pops in and saves your life, with just a "Badass MG he found in a bathroom"...

No, this is not a "Bandit vs Hero war FTW" type topic. I just have a question. Should I try getting Hero status or succumb to Banditry? Cause I am on a Private Hive where few people enter and they don't need medical attention so I can boost up my humanity. And waiting on Elektro Sniper Hill and stalking people at Pobeda dam by ordering them to drop their stuff on the ground can't be too hard.

Seems strange for me. The tower seems to live in harmony with me. It may sound crazy but hear that. A hacker had an Apache and was coming for my. Yes it's Private Hive server. When the hacker gets in range to lit me up with the M230, his ATRQ and INST go to red and he crashes. (He said that those 2 parts went red after he died) No zombies seem to spawn and the view is excellent, usually showing me up some heli crashes too. Also very few players would even come to the tower because of the legend, but it seems to be filled up with positive energy. I reccomend you go there and have a camp, usually players would avoid the tower and not check your base!

Sat there 1 hour. It was night. Nothing happened, seems like people just say that to hide their stuff on Green Mountain. Found a tent full of weps in the military building. Maybe people invented the myth just because there are vehicle spawns and they want them only for themselves. Or maybe nothing happened because I have the Mtn. Dew? Drank it and nothing happened. I'll sit there for 3 days and if nothing happens, we go back at looting Heli Crashes...

It is possible to leave markers on maps, and name them but everyone on the server will see it.

Maybe you can use the CD's, cassetes to broadcast messages & music from radio stations (eg. Green Mountain). Imagine being chased by zombies and hear some old rock music from a radio in the house, or an old military radio message from a radio you just found in a house. Would add a lot to the immersion.

You can run a whole day in Chernarus without feeling anything but hunger, thirst and broken aim. Well, if you run a lot under heat you can pass out. You have to stay a while in cool places to feel better. Why not integrate the Heat Stroke in DayZ? Also it would promote the Water Bottle, since it would cool you partially, and could add a new item, Ice Cubes, wich have the same effect as Heat Packs, lower your temperature to the normal level (37-38C).

A normal Beans can in DayZ fills up your whole stomach and a Soda can will quench your whole thirst. Well, why not promote the Water Bottle & Cooked Meat by making 2 beans cans filling your stomach and 2 sodas quenching thirst while Cooked Meat will reset the hunger meter & Water bottle will reset the thirst meter?

Currently the Heli Crashes's only Russian Weapons are SVD Camo and Bizon SD. Why not remove the Western weps from normal military loot and add them to Heli Crashes and add SVD Camo and Bizon SD to normal military loot? It would be more balanced. Also if you could find the CZ550 in Deer Stands at a higher spawn rate, it would be more realistic.

Found out a link between Chernarus and Namalsk (The 2 "green" maps of DayZ). In DayZ there are 3 major green things. Green Mountain, Mtn. Dew and Ghillie suit, all being extremly rare. You can find Green Mtn. at well... GM, Mtn. Dew in Berezino and Ghillie in Cherno (Berezino has 2 markets and Cherno has a load of residential buildings). If you link the locations you can see a triangle. Well, take the triangle and place it on Namalsk map and you see Lubjansk, Brensk Factory and AII linked. Usually in the center you can find something great, like a MTVR or V3S, maybe a Chopper, or a curse. Also I went camping at Green Mountain with my HMMWV, I want to debunk the myth.

IDK if this is the right place to start this topic but... Just made today on an 1.7.5.1 Chernarus server a camp at Green Mountain. Had a HMMWV, a M4SD, M9SD, M14, meds, food, almost everything but Ghillie Suit, Rangefinders and NV's. Also had a COyote and lots of ammo. Found there a green-painted Offroad, and that's all. Are there chances for me to find anything? I really want to debunk the myth of GM... Also visited Zeleno, planning it to be my last visit to a Supermarket before camping at GM, and found a Mtn. Dew. And saw something interesting. There are 3 green things in Chernarus (Wich is mostly, green.): Ghillie suit, Mtn. Dew and Green Mountain. All are rare and usually are 1 per server. If you link the 3 big locations for finding them (Cherno for Ghillie, Berezino for Dew and Green Mtn. for... well... GM) on the map, you'll see something like a triangle. Check up the Namalsk Map and place the triangle from Chernarus on the Namalsk map. You'll see Lubjansk, AII and Brensk Factory all linked. Usually in the center of the triangle you can find something really good. Found a MTVR on a Chernarus server right in the middle of the triangle, stuffed with LOTS of stuff. On Namalsk, in the center of the triangle, I found an Apache (ADmin's Apache). RIP Bloodsuckers.
