Komrade

I have been playing Day Z since the days of the Makarov Bean Coast Wars. The survivor horror genre is one that really hits home because I am a huge fan of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game series. I play with a group of my friends with the clan tag =Infected=. We all have the zombie skins and run around with different eye wear to distinguish between each other(because we usually play only on vet server. Name tags are incredibly lame). We came across a group of people that were exploiting the disconnect button but ended up screwing themselves in the end. Server name was US PA1. I had recently died the day before and I started fresh in Electro. I met up with my friend named Zeus and we pillaged the city and killed a few newbies for gear. We headed up north up to Mogilevka so that we could meet up with another one of my friends that had some better gear that we could take. We headed up to Novy where he disconnected and it was me and Zeus together again. We wanted even more gear so we decided to go to the military camp in Stary and test our luck. As we approached we heard constant gunfire in the distance. I moved up into the warehouse via the stairs and my friend went to the right of the warehouse to look into the camp. By the time that we got there the fire had died down and there was a ghillie suited dead body in the warehouse and a dead guy with an alice pack in the military tents. The military camps had piles of loot everywhere. It probably had bugged out because there wear at least 8-10 guns laying around and ammo everywhere. I upgraded myself to an m16 with the under-slug grenade launcher and my friend took the FAL that I had on me previously. So far we had had some good luck so we decided to head up to the NW airfield to test our luck even more. This is were it gets interesting. As we are heading up my friend Zeus starts telling me that he is probably going to be getting off soon and I was trying to convince him to stay on. As were are running we stumble upon a crashed heli. Just our luck I thought. Zeus took out his bino's and saw that it had an M107 sniper rifle. He has always wanted one so that was what kept him on. I did not like rifles that much so I wanted him to have it. At this point we are behind some trees in some decent cover and we started to inch toward the crash. Out of the corner of my eye I see movement in the distance and I drop to the ground. I told Zeus to do the same. It turns out that in the distance was a group of 3 surviors/bandits. I thought that they had saw us so I started rolling back into the trees with Zeus. Luck was on our side and they had managed to completely overlook us. They started to shoot at the zombies that had been chasing them or had been near them. Now I was trying to help Zeus spot them because he had no idea what I was talking about. He did and they started to move in closer. We had a perfect ambush waiting for them. My heart was racing. We were outnumbered and out geared but we had the element of surprise. We waited until they were a decent amount in front of us and we stood up and just unloaded a barrage of bullets at them. I managed to kill one named Heiko and Zeus managed to make one pass out. The other guy had dc'ed as soon as the gunfire had started. Then the guy who was passed out logged out as well so there was only 1 body on the ground. I thought that he had killed the other one but it was just a zombie body on the ground. I looted some ammo and a Coyote military backpack off of the dead body and went back into the trees as Zeus had went and tried to loot the M107 of the chopper. As I was waiting there I heard a sound from behind me. Turns out one of the guys that survived had decided to move places on another serer and get the drop on me and Zeus. Too bad he passed out on the ground and I heard him. I instantly shot him. His name was Furianer. He had an M4A3 Holo Sight on him and some other fat loot. Zeus couldn't find anything at the chopper so I decided to look for the sniper while he looted the guy I had just killed. As I was going over to the chopper I heard Zeus say "Wow you killed two guys?" and I basically yelled at him "SHOOT THE OTHER DUDE! I ONLY KILLED ONE". Zeus accidentally dragged the body and the dude disappeared. I was not quite sure what had just happened but I ran back to Zeus only for the guy to reappear and then Zeus shot him. What is weird is when he shot him a friendly fire message had appeared and said that he killed the third victim named Flo. So we looted their bodies and hid them, picked up the M107, and headed to the airfield where we disconnected in a safe spot.

I did not have fraps running that day unfortunately. It lags the game too hard. You only have my word.

Date/Time: 5/28/12 What happened: As I was playing Day Z I was noticing that about 90% of dead Survivor models were standing up instead of bleeding out on the ground and they were also aiming their gun. Multiple times I have wasted ammo because I assumed they were aiming their gun at me and I have wasted ammo on their corpses. I was also running into the 9 fps bug so I was not quite sure whether they were moving at all or not. I would realize that they were dead when I could sneak up onto them and I saw that their faces had blood spattered on them. Where you were: Along the shore in random locations. Sometimes even in towns. Wherever I saw dead players.
