What will be the first thing that you will do in SA?

-Find some Supplies enough to survive for a while -Find a melee weapon if possible -Meet up with my group somewhere planned before -Kill all the zeds in a specific place and take over that small town -Improve that area to make it our "new home" :3 -

I dont think it is possible (ik its.. but would take 3-5 more years tho) to make this game on any other engine now. Everything would have to be literally "re-coded". Arma engines are used cus the guys who make the game -as said many times- have lots of experience on arma engines.. they made arma mods and got used to the codes that are in the engines.. For them to make the game on a new engine would imo mean at the very least +5 years until the alfa would get out.

Zeds can be slowed down via mods like dayz. As an example of this; -

Zombies really get near you and start attacking you without damaging you. That happens -as OP elaborated- when the player gets to crawling position or such for the zeds not to see them (in darkness generally) then the zeds will go to him or "NEAR HIS OLD POSITION WHERE THEY SAW HIM LASTLY" and attacking animation starts.. They then get kinda stuck in that animation tho.. :P You can go around them and they will not start following u or attacking you because game thinks they already have a target which they are attacking at the moment.. =) Yeh, its a known bug, and Im pretty sure that this kinda bugs will be solved in SA. =) -

This has never been talked on before. Thanks for pointing out that the zombies we have are actually buggy and weird/weak/with night goggles/have super ears. -

As for more examples, I can now give literally 2 videos of ppl dying AFK in some utubers vids. Kids will never stop going off for 1-2 min and then return to see what happens and come to the forums crying rivers and so.. -

The new server selecting/filtering feature is imo (regarding the style of SA which we all saw almost in all the videos etc. in gaming meetings/reviews) far better than what ArmA series have so far. -

Such ideas (yes, with similar images) were made before. I'd also like to see such a thing as well, but considering the "no HUD policy" I'd not rly expect such in SA tho. -

Maybe you are the one who should re-read what I wrote. If there was a source found until now, there would then be no ppl saying "B..but he said june!!!1!!", correct ? There are dozens of videos and reviews on dayz including Rocket and other ppl working in the team. You could easily guess that this was clearly mentioned considering that all of those who say that this kinda thing was said before, cannot be rly related with eachother in regards to be a troll group or such anyway. As an example I do not know any of the guys here who say so.. It is not that simple to remember and take 1 sentence out of dozens of them, which is not a need here as well anyway. Again, I said something was said containing "june" and "release date" (which is the possible reason why ppl remember it as the game would be released in June, which was not really said before tho) not that the game should of released by now (nor in june or such)... What I said. PS:Btw just found: http://dayzmod.com/f...e/#entry1251223 (<- that is also the "source"you asked for, Sir Fraggle. ) ^For those who seek some info about the release. I also recall a mentioning of June by Mr. Rocket or Matthew.. And I know I am not wrong =) PS:Which^ doesnt mean that they said they were going to release it in June. But the "mentioning" was containing "June" and "release date", which would lead ppl to understand that way tho.. If I could remember where/when this was mentioned, I could then elaborate this issue more tho.. Snip; This^ can be the case. Considering that I recall such a thing but was not rly expecting a release in June, this^ kind of a thing is kinda most likely imo. -

IMHO when a player dies, he then should wait for about 1 hour to re-spawn and the spawn area must be somewhere which is the farthest place to the player's previous corpse. There should also be some mechanism for bandits. If a 1 lvl bandit would die, then he should wait 2 hours before re-spawning. if the char is a lvl 2 bandit, then he should wait for 4 hours.. if lvl 3, then wait 8 hours.. and so... Then people would not rly risk their characters to die awkwardly knowing that they could just re-spawn and get to their corpse again anyway.. Also for heroes, if a 1 lvl hero would die, then he should re-spawn in 30 min.. if lvl 2, then should wait 15 min and so on.. =) -

I guess there will be just texts popping up on the left side of the screen and disappear after a while. So yeah, cus of the "No HUD" policy, its pretty easy to forget if your character is hungry/thirsty/should go to poo/got cold/infected/has broken legs/experience pain/scared/or has any different sickness that would be in the game. I wish there would be some basic HUD like that which could also be disabled if needed/wanted.. -

I got it as the 50.000 keys would be sold in the week after the meeting/interview. But meh.. *shrugs* -
It is already confirmed that wandering zeds will be around in StandAlone (a lot of them). Rocket clearly said so. That said don't you worry child =)

All of which^ can still be done on win8 with no problem. can also be done in mac, linux and even in my calculator. cus it was back then a new product. And yes, it did. It is only to see if the computer, the OS and the programs included in it are avaiblable for the OS upgrade and nothing else. *claps* To sum up, any specific program that cannot run on win8 for what you wrote up up and up there ?
