PC HELP HOW TO MAKE DAYZ RUN SMOOTHLY
Anubis (DayZ) replied to BSB Jimmy's topic in New Player Discussion
Sentinal, The system your building in the original post is fine for dayz, Im and intel man myself but i just built a fx 4100 system 8gb ram and a GTX 560ti for my roomate and it plays smooth as butter not overclocked at all, I overclocked it and it runs high at 56-70 fps, Arma is unique in that the texture loading system actually utilizes hard drive speed, so getting that system with a 60gb SSD or a 120 would do you fine. Playability will be good, i found my system to be complete overkill but hey, the hardware in it is worth 4k lol. Get the system you posted, Arma II scales well in SLI as well. You could always add a second video card down the line if your mobo supports it. -
Some of these skriddies feel bad after nuking a server so they help people out on the next one. You part of the problem if your not reporting these guys as they are ruining other peoples expieriences.

It's a private hive, they already exist :P

Hive servers are not owned by the admins, the hardware may be, but the hive connection and software license belong to the Dayz team. By lending said server they agree to abide by the rules set forth by the Dayz team. Not all of the rules are clearly defined, leaving a grey area. Thats where clarification posts like this need to come into play. Intentionally bringing down a server to "safeguard" your camp, vehicles, gear etc. should not be allowed. By shutting the server down while you are sleeping you are removing an integral part of the game. Giving you and your clan immunity to raiders while you sleep. This is not how the mechanic was intended to work for obvious reasons. I would call this a loophole at best, which is why clarification is needed. Also the Dayz dev team has and maintains the right to alter server requirements as needed as players will typically always find loopholes and way around particular guidelines. While it isn't the same as locking your server, its providing a completely safe haven for the equipment you have collected. Dayz is a persistant world therefor this is not acceptable. Anubis AKA SgtCrustySox Flame if you like, or take you ball and go home, either way I don't care. What I do care about is helping to make Dayz the best it can be.

I use commander to track Alt-F4ing jackasses, And once you have their name it relatively easy to track. I use it to track ghosters as well If they iimediately log upon getting fired on. Then i give them a good old fashioned teabagging. I check my player list every 2-3 min so i can memorize the names and know who battlelogged. Then I move to the same sever and fire at will.

I did loot a shit ton of sandbags from you guys, took me almost an hour to spell out "I pewp magic" on the hill. I do like you attitude towards the game, I didnt blow any of your shit up, I only took what I needed and left your camp in peace.

Lol, i meant of not "to". I haven't found many bad eggs in the overclocking community, but i've been with OCF and [H]ardforums so long I guess its just habit. I often visit OCN during the chimp challenge and look over the gaming section as well for valuable insight on whats currently out there.

I'd like to show my support for the OCN team, I'm a long standing member to Overclockers.com and we have friendly competition with these guys quite a bit. They have always shown great taste and sportsmanship, and I trust Vortech as an admin over anyone else. He is always ontop of banning asshats like this. These guys do a service and provide good administration of their servers. I will continue to play on 1992/1993 knowing that even if im killed by a hacker, he will get what he deserves. Thanks Vortech Thanks OCN And a big shoutout to friends at OCforums.com

I applaud you sir, In a world where people are dumber by the day, and parenting and political correctness have all but glorified and rewarded the "custodial engineers" of the world. ITS A FUCKING JANITOR! You have shown a sense of value to your child. It may not be one he appreciates today, or tommorow or for a few years, but he will hold the values you teach him now. I'm willing to bet Budbaker grew up getting "participation trophies" and being told hes just as good as all the other kids. WTF happened to healthy competition...
-
Hey dick, I think Enron is hiring. If you don't understand the reference I could explain it to your simple little mind.
-
It's about teaching his kid a lesson you ass. Parents these days are a joke for the most part. If its not corrected then the kid thinks "We'll i cheat in the game and don't get in trouble" and applies that to life. I have the ability to do terrible things with a persons IP address or social security number, but you know what? I don't. I don't take pleasure in making someone else miserable. Values I was taught growing up. I do enjoy peoples misery, but only when they bring it on themselves. JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD!

Cannabundo using Global Ban bypass
Anubis (DayZ) replied to Dr Jisko's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I play on 3061 often, and have fallen victim to Cannabundo teleported vehicles and people. There were only a few people on the server when it happened. All of which I know aside from Cannabundo. He was wearing the soldier fatigues, using godmode and had a thermal AS50. I unloaded an entire clip into his face and he started laughing then proceeded to spray my brains all over the place. I don't know of a program he could use that would hide his actions from the logs, but somehow hes doing it. -
Hacker on US 3061 teleporting people and vehicles
Anubis (DayZ) posted a topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Cannabundo is on US 3061, admin intervened and saved me but hes still there. -
2 hackers on 3061 teleported me into a field and killed me using a PDW SD and an AS50 TSW. Also both are wearing the desert fatigues skin
