Small diesel and petrol generators would be a solution to lighting small areas, I wouldn't want to see power stations or anything similar to that as it just seems a bit far fetched. Small generators should come with big disadvantages though, I'd say make them loud which would attract loads of zombies + players, difficult to move around, very hard to find and make the fuel even rarer. -
DayZ keeps crashing when I try to join a server?

I was playing in a group of 4 including myself at the weekend on the old nvidia driver, we spent about an hour on the server before we headed up to Svetloyarsk. One after another within the space of about 5-10 minutes we had all suffered multiple crashes, the 3 other guys are AMD hardware users. We were able to load in and run for short periods of time before crashing again, once we had eventually made it away from Svet the crashes stopped. -
Cool idea, would be a useful feature if implemented properly. I can imagine we would have many death by door and broken limb threads if it was done badly though.

I don't want to see any of those trading zones with god mode rubbish, if I'm gonna get robbed of my gear then so be it. what I would I would like to see is an option for trading with players where each player can drag items into an external window that both can see and then have some sort of agree trade option.

It just needs changed to bury body and need the player to have a shovel or digging tool. Hiding a body is not unrealistic, it just needs better implementation.

I don't think the login timer was ever meant end server hopping, its just a deterrent whilst loot does not respawn. Personally I think it should stay the way it is and loot should only spawn on a server restart. And then bring in longer timers for hopping and a more refined implementation of the system that detects how and when a player exits the server.

Yes Dayz is set in a post soviet state, I don't see how that matters? Neither Albania or the Czechs were part of the Soviet Union if I remember correctly. They were strong allies, heavily influenced politically and signed the Warsaw pact during the Cold War but never officially joined the USSR. And even if I am wrong about that (which I don't think I am) most of the pillboxes in Czechoslovak were built between 1935-1938 to protect the borders and counter the threat from the rising power of nationalist party using designs based on French(mainly), German and Russian pillboxes so topographic similarities and influence mean nothing really.

Did you even read my post dude? Look closely for the word DESIGN, I am sure I put it in there somewhere. The pictures Karakoz posted were of albanian pillboxes which have a design with a hemisphere on top. The name for a pillbox comes from how it was likened to a box that people kept pills in these were of hexagonal shape and had a flat top (common design in Russia,Germany etc). So no, not all are the same. They are very different from each other as they were not all designed for the same purpose, some were design to just hold troops others had large anti tank auto cannons and some were even built to house missile defense systems like the Don-2N.

I can understand wanting pillboxes, but Albanian pillboxes? although they do have a cool design I would rather see a pillbox design that is more associated with the games setting.

why? so you can run back to your dead body and get your gear? As far as I know bodies despawn after 10 minutes to help with server load, and I can only assume that this is also the same reason for it being an option to the player.

May well be your hard drive dude, check it for errors and bad sectors. This used to happen to me on my iMac before the HDD failed. -
I always seem to bump into aussies on the UK Experimental Hardcore servers, I assumed that there wasn't an AU server because of this. Looks like they are avoiding you dude. :P

Yeah that would work and is believable in my opinion. Have the rag keep the colour of the item it was crafted from also. I dont like being able to choose a selection of colours and an icon though.

I have to agree with you 100%. My goal is survival, If I'm alive regardless of how near death then I am having fun. Everyone plays the game their own way and for their own enjoyment. -
If I remember rightly your Dayz forum account does not work on the bug tracker. This means you need to create a separate new account on there if you are wanting to report a bug.

The respawning issue has been around since one of the early patches Ivan and pops back up every now and again. It was a problem on experimental and then a problem on stable. So I beg to differ as it was found on experimental servers (Played on exp servers since they were available and had this issue myself). -

I think its because every aspect of the patch has to be tested, and that includes death and respawning. Surely you've seen the numerous threads regarding players unable to respawn, if god mode was on then this bug wouldn't be found until the patch went stable and then we would have mass outrage and people asking why this wasn't found when it was being tested on exp and how has the patch went stable with a game breaking bug. *Edit- forgot to add that new features (new code) can cause unexpected and quite obscure bugs which affect old features (old code) -
I can't see a primary weapon so I think I would let you live, as soon as you started doing any animations that suggested you were getting that axe or a pistol from your inventory I would shoot.
